Amazing stuff Seth! I hiked Mt Belford last year with my 18 year old son. It was his first 14er. Fond memories for sure.
Just got shoulder surgery and can’t run for a few weeks minimum. Plus quite a bit longer for strength training. A little depressing, but I’ll come back stronger. Keep inspiring Seth.
Ahhhhh... the never ending switchbacks of Mt Belford! I have hiked several times and run down but never run up. You two are incredible! Well done. Just finished five 14ers out in the Collegiates last week. I have a total of 85 14er summits now. I believe!
Seth and Joseph that was an Awsome run. Amazing running on a steep single track with numerous rocks and roots. You guys are good and a job well done on the video photography of you both running up the mountain. Again, that was awsome!!

Do I believe in myself? No. Goal is sub 6:00 mile at 60. Aerobic should be ok, but the end range hip arthritis just won't allow me to train fast enough. Did 4 x 30m a few weeks ago and had to take an extra day off.
Belford, an interesting choice for an FKT. Belford is Perhaps the most boring, soul-sucking slog of all the Colorado peaks, but I commend you for choosing a route that isn't just "hard" but one that is also esthetically devoid of meaning and yet somehow both physically arousing and emotionally oppressive.
And for those that have hike Belford, you know this is not just hyperbole.
But seriously, nice work guys, that's exceptionally fast! This FKT is inspiring, but now I need to go check some of your other videos in hopes of finding a less depressing FKT route!!!🙂

I've had some brutal moments on belford but they were still magical, my post was meant to be satirical and funny, but I'm realizing it would only be funny to those that have been in the Missouri Gulch pain cave (that's the approach to Belford, Missouri and Oxford). But in any case, I do really like your comment, it aligns with my overall philosophy in general.
