I look forward to the end of the huge wheels trend. 22 inch wheels on a family wagon is stupid. Worse mileage, worse ride, worse longevity, and more expensive to replace.
Idk bout the majority, but my TX 500h has 22 inch and the ride is pretty comfortable. Now, u dont have to get 22s, opt for lower option and get smaller wheels. The 22s TX 350s are in the Luxury trim, which has better suspension tuned for comfort than the non Luxry ones
Finally the Muzio family has incorporated the famous "Low Five" into the final seconds of the show..! Introduced decades ago during his radio days, multiple low fives quickly become a traditional happy dance...but that often requires additional tequila and slices of lime. Thanks for reviving this salute to silliness. Long live the Low Five.
I'd love it if they added the 2.5l hybrid available in the Grand Highlander. Not fast but amazing MPG and regular gas. Not everybody needs their family car to be fast.
Lexus really has got to step up their interior game. No wood or metallic trim, not enough leather or stitching on the dash and doors, kind of cheap tacked on screen look, and too much plastic stuff. Lexus made better interiors in the yesteryears.
everybody is doing that now, you don't pay for the luxury badge anymore, you're paying for the technology. but they also cheap out, because they don't wanna upset the vegan crowd. no more real leather which is soft to the touch, everything in vehicles today is meant to be environmental friendly. that also includes screens on the dash, not V6 option, which means struggle to move people, going up inclines. real towing is lower, because that's not what a turbo is designed for. it'll run out of breath.
they suck and their videos suck.....shills.........what fool wants to replace a nice V-6 with tiny four banger turbo that has less power and no better fuel economy?
Toyota swapped some parts on its cheapened out version of the Highlander and put it under its second, somewhat premium brand. (With thech from 90s). Americans that love not using their own money will spend monthly on another subpar product, being un eco and changing it after 3 years for no reason
Toyota / Lexus are lightyears ahead of other carmakers in terms of practicality and hybrid tech prowess. P.S. The Real Housewife crossover reference had me 🤣
Lexus is renowned for its exceptional quietness at highway cruising speeds, making it a game-changer for individuals whose migraines are triggered by continuous noise. When reviewing Lexus vehicles, emphasize their quietness as a significant aspect of the conversation.
One problem I have with the front grille is it’s similarity to the new Toyota Crown, Toyota Prius (strong upper horizontal element, fading to body grille) As polarizing as the Lexus spindle grille was, at least it was an identifiable look. At first glance, without the badging, someone who doesn’t know their Lexus vehicles wouldn’t have guessed this was a luxury car, let alone a Lexus.
Problem is people love bigger wheels. That’s why smaller wheels are typically only on the base trim because most will step up to bigger wheel because they look better.
About the weird ‘Lane Trace Assist’ and it being related to ‘ambient light’. I wouldn’t be surprised because it seems to also happen with ‘auto braking’. I have noticed the tendency to auto brake when the sun reflects off pooling water on the road in front of you.
So I've noticed on many videos that the Lexus TX's headlights are always on even on the day time. Can you not drive the Lexus TX with only the DRL on during the day time? Just curious... 😅
its like tahoe vs escalade... its all depends how much you want to spend... also that safe exist assist might cause more harm if you get in an accident and loose power and has no way to open... just like tesla..
Thanks for the review Micah. I love your car reviews. What are your thoughts on the suede/alcantara seats? What do you think the long term durability will be. I love the luxury trim over the premium trim because of the additional features, but am concerned about the suede. Thoughts?
It's probably nice and reliable like most of the Lexus brand ,,, but it looks like a minivan, especially the grid. It made look sad 😔,,, it needs some chrome.
Nice video. Have you made a video of the cost of owing your helicopter? From how much did it cost, fuel, maintenance, storage, etc. I would love to see a video. Also my nice is studying to be a helicopter pilot so you could also add how much does it cost to be one and the total investment. Hope you make one.
I own the Grand Highlander, and I agree. The Toyota is better than the Lexus version, but if anyone wants the plugin hybrid, they have to go with the Lexus. I'm looking forward to what Toyota and Lexus do with this platform in the future. One last thing: as much as I enjoy the Grand Highlander, it's a BIG BOI, and for a small family of 3, it's a bit much for us. What would you recommend for a sensible vehicle (SUV, wagon, sedan) for a small family that does the occasional road trip? I've been thinking about the Subaru Outback and the RAV4 Hybrid. I'm not a big fan of luxury vehicles because you can get luxury features in non-luxury cars. If Subaru came out with a hybrid Outback, oh man, take my money!!!
@@aarzu10 The problem with that car though is the cargo and passenger space. Behind the 2nd row its about the same space as a CRV and miles behind a car like a TX! It also has a much smaller third row.
as of August 2024 neither Toyota nor Lexus websites show any availability of Grand Highlander or Lexus TX. Not even listed. Problems with engines I heard. Come on Toyota.
The amount of yt family happiness is cringey lol. It's just not real life. The TX is markedly different in terms of suspension tuning and structural rigidity vs the GH. So its not just nicer materials and extra hp.
I don't see enough reasons to pay more for the Lexus over that Toyota version....you should pocket that extra money for snacks. You may have a cookie monster in that 2nd or 3rd row 🤥 Its a luxury truck that tries to be boring looking... and succeeds....congrats??😂
I bow to the concept of….‘styling is up to personal taste but….. come on guys, is this really good looking???!!!!! And what about the price for a family car?!!??!!

What fool wants to replace a strong V-6 with a tiny 4 cylinder turbo with less horsepower and no better fuel economy for $70,000??????????????????????????????????? Shill video.
You all know what you’re favorite Toyota haters gonna say As Tx is dead on arrival since it doesn’t do anything well. In fact in just about every single way I can think of it really falls behind the competition
Oh stop lying, the only modern Toyota product that isn’t good is the new Highlander, the rest of them are solid choices, I personally strongly dislike the exterior of the new RX but that’s simply personal preference (doesn’t make it a bad car), while the new Highlander is somewhat mediocre, the remaining modern Toyota products are great choices
@@CarGeek360 wrong. The only good Toyotas are the 8th generation Camry and the lc500. Rest of them are garbage vs other brands Also it’s easy to point out faults in personal preferences. As an owner of Honda's V6 Passport, I was really impressed with the power of this turbo engine when I drove the TX. Plenty of power off the line and effortless doing 80 mph+ with 3 adults,1 kid and lots of stuff in the cargo area.
Just bought a 2024 Grand Highlander Platinum. If you want the 3rd row seats to go down faster just buy the Grand Highlander because its the same vehicle 😂

That is not accurate at all anymore. Some bigger wheels actually get the better mpg. The big wheel trend is not going anywhere

Pure gas for the 350 was a mistake for sure

The interior sucks. But it is clean, soft and solid feeling.
Its because its only the first year of the model and I think the Hybrid has an F Sport interior.

The TX looks very nicely looking and love how much space it has and would get one
Lexus is typically overbuilt for longevity compared to Toyota. There is your difference.
Am I the only one that high fives the screen??? 👀
Wow the door trim flaw on a $55k base price. I’ll take a high trim Grand Highlander any day
Have both a GHL Hybrid Max LTD and a Lex TX350 Lux on order due for delivery in Mid-Sept. Once each for my wife and I.
Who is going to drive the TX? This is important. :)🤣
Wife wanted the refinement of the Lex, I wanted the performance of the Hybrid Max.
Lexus built an ideal family hauler that’s luxurious, spacious, and smooth.
Lexus dealers sell that same car at unbelievable prices with the mrsp

Fit and Finish is not really what you expect in a Lexus unless its built in Japan which the TX isnt.

Reminds me of a minivan in looks. Not terrible. I just like a slightly smaller sized vehicle.
In terms of looks, its the ugliest in class but some of that is them making it as boxy as possible so its also the biggest inside too.
