I have two Ruggable runners in my hallway (one of which, a Jonathan Adler one, I actually found second hand but unused) and I really love the patterns and the convenience, but if I didn't have an incontinent elderly dog I would go for vintage rugs, especially for bigger rugs where the Ruggables are pretty expensive. Back when I bought mine they only had the thin ones, which really don't feel all that ruggy. If you need washable they are brilliant, though, as they wash very well and dry quickly.

I have one of the thin ones in my kitchen as a runner in front of the sink that runs the whole length of the counter. I like that it's easy to clean but it shifts around a bit and crumbs get under it and love to stick to that Velcro like surface so I'd opt for a heavier one if that was what I was getting.

yeah, thin rugs will always do that. i had a thin one in a bedroom once and it was so annoying lol
