Really no need to bother doing this. The frames rust from road salt. A/c evaporator drain water isn't going to damage the frame anymore than driving in the rain.
its like stoping briusing your teeth because you know when you get older they will rot no matter what you do, lol...the AC drips on the frame and does rust it, the brine and winter salt will rust it as well but why not try to avoid both when you can? this mod cost me $17 with the tools and 20 minutes or so
@2strokemigz truck frames are coated. There for don't rust unless something corrosive gets on them. For example, a battery tray on an old car is often rusted away when the rest of the car isn't rusty. Battery acid leaks onto the tray and causes rust. Rotors rust because they are raw cast iron. Untreated raw cast iron rusts. Coated frames only rust when exposed to corrosive elements like salt or battery acid.
@@jgranger2002 what do you think happens to the coating over time when rocks and debris chip the garbage coatings these auto manufacturers put on there?
Hey got the same truck did the same mod. I’d recommend the heater hose, got it at autozone for $5 they sell it on a roll, get as much as you need. Sometimes if the hose isn’t long enough it would leak in the carpet and floor mat. Well worth doing this mod.
Can't hurt none to have a holes running down, I know on the older car's for the rad holes over flow people put there favorite pop of beer bottle to catch the run off. Personally I just had my holes running to drip on the ground that it barely did.
Get it fluid filmed yearly! A must-have for every Toyota truck/body-on-frame vehicle
you could upload an hour-long vid talking in a forest. for whatever reason this channel brings me peace. thank you

@cutlerylover it's not like that at all. Sugar rots your teeth water doesn't. Road salt rusts out the frame. A/c water doesn't.
@@jgranger2002so explain the rust on your brake rotors after driving in the RAIN.

To preserve your Tacoma frame inside and out Mustie1 sprays bar chain oil/90 weight inside of the frame and out.
Fluid film or woolwax every year. Don't use bar oil
Great mod!
