Tornado Jam 1982. Joan Jett rocked the first set, then the rain came. When it cleared, it was time for Joe and a mysterious guest decked out in yellow rain gear. When she took the rain hat off, my heart almost burst. There I was standing in the mud of Buddy Holly Park listening to Joe and Linda Ronstadt doing Buddy Holly duets.............
I am so sorry that Ms. Ronstadt is so physically impaired now and limited in her ability to travel, but she took advantage of every opportunity to sing in a myriad of venues with a myriad of artists (including Kermit the Frog!)for decades. She was ubiquitous!
@Glen Yates hi Glenn and Linda how have y'all been doin im fine send me email tbeck928@gmail.com will talk more hope u doin good im glad to hear from u hope u send me email soon your friend tina
Glen Yates Hi Glen,I’m on a short walking and drinking holiday with some pals from sixty years ago...1958 was the year we had our first legal pint..we all back then loved Buddy..and still do. We call ourselves the “58 Club!”

i was there.
I wish this song could be put on a CD album, either Joe's or Linda's.
If this song was an album, I would bu at least 10.
Linda, we miss that voice of the heart - the deepest saddest part. What a great rarity with the super fine Mr. ELY.
We need the whole album released!
I miss Linda too. 😢
Saw Linda make an appearance with Joe at the Speedway in Lubbock on Memorial Day in '82 with my sweetheart, Jan Burandt...
OMG!! Saw her at Stubbs back in the mid 70's, she was passing thru... didn't do a show or anything.

Lynda this is one of the best Duet's for you!
Omg, Linda girl, where is my heart ... missing your singing so much ... your music is a part of me, always will be.
Ran into Joe and his wife Sharon at Stubbs BBQ so many yrs ago... Linda was there. I was speachless.
Takes me to those great McCabe sessions Linda recorded in the early 1970s.
Simply, achingly beautiful. What can you say? A perfect song. Tears will flow.
Perfect harmonies for a perfect song
Brilliant Duo with two of the best, heart rending , powerful rendition and great song!

@Glen Yates Ummm... it's Joe Ely. I used to walk down my alley a half block to see Joe Ely & his wondrous band at the Main Street Saloon.
He sounds a lot like DAC here to me. That's not a bad thing.
