  • A while ago I ordered a new carpet set from a company in the UK called Coverdale who stated they could match the rare "Champagne" carpets for the 1980 924 Turbo. They were custom made and took a few weeks to come in, but today is the day they get installed!
They're not molded like the originals and take a bit of fiddling to make fit properly but look amazing and really make the interior POP!
I still need a brown console, if you have one please send me an email at autoanatomy@icloud.com. Ready to buy right now!
The new seats are ordered and should be arriving by the time this is live, but you'll have to wait until next time to see them.

I wonder if some sound deadening mat under the rear/front carpet would help with the noise you mentioned earlier?

Love the video my carpet is falling apart thanks to the Arizona sun so this is still a project on the list. FYI the thumbnail was a little messed up for me on mobil the text is cut off at the bottom. Love your content!

We're SOOOO close to having the car done, just interior and a few little things left to do. What has been your favorite part of the build? Comment below!

My first Porsche was a red 924 turbo I bought in 1985 for $25 thousand. Loved that car.

They are so undervalued in the sports car community, hopefully someday they will get the recognition they deserve

Not the most oem carpet to fit, but the endresult was pretty nice looking! Im thinking about redying my carpet some day, not sure how hard it is to get right though.

Yeah, it took some fiddling, but overall looks pretty good. I am never 100% satisfied, but it is an order of magnitude better than what it had originally!

Great video! I’m actually putting new carpets in my ‘84 944 now. Could you tell me where you got the snaps that you put in the rear carpet? Thanks.

Thanks! The snaps in the rear were removed from the original carpet and re-installed

What I said before with American videos on here. A German would clean the car inside and outside first thing. Even the Germans give me thumbs up for saying that. Hehe. I would have tried to clean the carpet. Plenty of videos how to here on you tube. But I do like the end result. Looks clean. Keep up the good work. Greeting from Cairns, Queensland Australia.

I did actually shampoo the carpet but the knap was worn down to nothing and was stained. I really thought about pulling and re-dyeing the carpet but with the amount of work and time it just made sense to replace.
Thanks for checking out the videos!

Hey I was just curious if you know about rebuilding a cylinder head for the 944. Oh and btw way, I think I have the same colored carpet but I was able to clean it and put it back in.

Never rebuilt one of those, but what questions do you have? I would reach out to Boost Brothers Garage. He’s the 944 guru.

Have you looked up 944 Barn for a console? If anyone has a spare one lying around, it’s gonna be Elliott.

Good video! Finally, something on the Coverdale carpet set! I’m looking to change the carpets on my 944 to black as part of a complete interior overhaul and customisation and I have been wondering about the Coverdale kit for quite some time, trying to find someone who’s installed it. Please, any updates you can give after living with it for a while would me awesome! Cheers!
