stop making videos on 944s, i like the prices low
"we love 944s, we've been promoting them for a couple years now".... So let me guess, you have warehouse or yard full of 944s or 944 parts you're sitting on until you're "promotion" jacks up the prices out of "regular guy" range.
Recap: Buy it cheap, part it out. There, saved you nice folks eleven minutes of your day. You're welcome.
'So what we would do is hype up the Porsche seats on our channel, then when people started investing and driving the price up, we sold everything out and basically made the seats worthless. It's basically what we did with our pump and dump scheme in high school for crypto and forez and why I almost went to jail.'
Cool, so you run a junk yard. Got it.
THIS is who keeps outbidding you on cheap Porsches, the guy parting them out.
I have to laugh at how he leaves out the crazy high fee's that copart charges now in his low low prices. Or shipping fee's or the money to buy a truck and trailer and all that goes along with doing what they are doing. If you really think they are only into a car for the prices he quotes and all of the "profit" they are they making you have another thing coming.
This kid gets free porsches by asking his parents to buy one.
As an owner of an air cooled 911 navigating the crazy parts prices right now… I think this video is a statement on how crazy it’s gotten I’m sure these parts buyers are putting the seats/etc in 911s
Taking a potentially original Porsche that will soon appreciate in value and removing a key original feature.
Funny enough the actual quote is "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one". Great story btw!
Senior year in high school I had an ‘86 944 Turbo. It had sport seats, Fuchs wheels, every option you could want. I was too young then and couldn’t afford the maintenance so I had to sell it; I’ve been trying to find another one like it ever since and the prices are outrageous.
Sounds like people need to realize those seats aren't so rare
First rule of fight club, don't talk about fight club. Telling people about your honey hole.
That’s me with Toyota’s from 2000-2007, I was able to get a running driving 2zzge engine and 6 speed out of a Pontiac vibe GT I bought for $1400, which allows me to sell the car for parts and make my money back doing my mr2 spyder swap, because a known good 2zzge engine and transmission would sell for 1500 or more
I just sold a couple of 944S from 1987 and 1988. Great way to learn about them. So many parts are hard to find and when you do they are expensive! Definitely money to be made if you find the right examples.
I thought the story was fine, and the guy had good energy - but I fell in love with it when he said he put phone-dials on. To me, the best wheels for the late '70s to late '80s Porsche 928s/944s. I just think they have a unique look that really works with the lines of the car.
Yeah - only valid in the US. In Germany, no 944 is cheap anymore.
I paid $40 for these seats in 1990. I put them in my Audi 4000 GT Quatro. LOL
"how many sport seats have you sold? Ya we can get a full video out of that."
