Never knew he was possible gonna have a match with CM Punk in 2012, cool to know.
Also he was suppose to face dean ambrose at Mania 28. Ambrose was suppose to debut alone. They even had a backstage setup if you google ambrose foley 2012.
Plan surely was a match against Punk at Hell in a Cell, then Team Foley vs Team Punk at Survivor Series.

Who the Hell gives Mick Foley a scripted promo?
Yes. We love hearing Mick! Thank you Inside the Ropes.
Punk said he would come back under 2 conditions. 1. A very very good storyline. And 2. Tons and tons of money.
Professional wrestlers tell the best stories in the world
Thank you for putting your body through hell Mick, you truly had to fight to the top. I feel guilty watching your old matches and seeing how much pain you are in now.
If punk comes back I would rather him come back as a writer
Punk needs to be a Booker rather than a writer. Writers are a dime a dozen, every match called for show has to go through the decision of the booker.
for all the crazy life threatening moments... I'll never forget when he ran in and eliminated randol keith from the rumble and also himself. its what he NEEDED BANGBANG BROTHER BANGBANG
I think we will see CM Punk in a WWE ring again but I don’t think it will be in a wrestling capacity. It will probably be a “WWE Legends” role where he GTS’ someone the place cheers. He will be the pre order bonus in a future WWE2K game and he will go in the WWE HOF and maybe a GM for Smackdown if they payed him enough. IF he was to wrestle it would probably be a Rumble entrance at number 30 and then maybe a match at that year’s WrestleMaina. It won’t be a massive run. Just 1 or 2 matches.
He wrestlers Austin if he wrestles anybody
Wow you know him well! Lmao
@@user-li3fr8jl3b I’m just guessing what could happen. I doubt he would wrestle again but a Rumble return seems realistic. Plus everyone goes in the HOF and 2K would obviously want him to be a pre order bonus.
@@liamhemstock2286 cant see him wrestling for the company that killed his passion for wrestling. i doubt he’ll wrestle again.
CM Punk is back!
Where do I get that shirt they’re wearing???!!! Been looking for it and there it is!!!
I can't see punk ever returning to wrestling (competition, not production) in general. He's rich and he's smart with his money, so he won't be bought off easily and his refusal to step back is helping his legacy and he knows it.
Well said
Helping his legacy how?
Wow... Mick sounds older like one of the old guys...I can't believe how fast time has gone. Why hasn't he gotten his teeth fixed? He's rich

Yknow this explains a lot. We Fuckin love you mic thanks for a great childhood.
CM Punk has said in numerous interviews that he hates wrestling, does absolutely nothing for him. I prefer wrestlers who love it and aren't just trying to cash in.
I’m a punk fan and while I agree with his reasons for being pissed off, I certainly don’t want to see him back in the ring now. It’s bad enough with these past their prime part timers already like Brock Lesnar, Goldberg & Edge all still clinging on to stay relevant, so Punk coming in now would feel like just another part timer stealing the spotlight.
Punk on commentary however..🔥
edge is still alive in the sense of his primer, but i agree with brock and goldberg.
@@FookinApprentice Edge is nearing 50 and injury prone, I loved his work and don’t get me wrong his career was cut short far to soon but he’s had his comeback moment he needs to call it a day
As long as he still gets to wear Triple H's Blazer. Lol
@@superrobz His career wasn't cut short, he had a great amount of years to call a career and was already at that old age by wrestling standards when he retired from injury

"You can't record." Meanwhile, huge actual camera is recording the entire interview haha.
They shouldn't have been recording, but obviously not so the interview won't get out. They shouldn't record it so they can actually be in the moment listening, instead of focusing on whether or not they are getting a good shot that they can post later hahah
Seeing interviews with Punk from the recent years, even with you guys Punk has stated time and time again, even though they're on good terms now, a lot of bridges need to be built in order for it to happen and I just think its not gonna, but like Mick said. "We all come back eventually." I've also seen Punk comment on wrestlers out there now in the spotlight. Specifically Will Osprey, Kenny Omega, think he even mentioned Styles, that he'd love to work with them but he definitely couldn't keep up with those guys and their energy.
Of course he could keep it up. If Jericho can he can.
Oh man, that Joe vs Punk in Chicago, one of my favorite matches ever.
I think the short answer is Punk doesn't come back. In his current gig he makes enough money and gets to be tangentially related to the WWE product without having to answer to Vince or Triple H. To him, that spot is good enough.
I think the thing that put me in this mindset for sure is knowing he turned AEW down. It's easy to forget that CM Punk isn't still that bleach blonde kid who went 60 minutes with Samoa Joe in Chicago all those years ago. He's older now, he's jaded, and he's used to making a certain amount of money. Wrestling is a job for him now, not a passion. He's also not in the physical condition he was in back then.
I haven't watched WWE in years. But whenever I hear someone say, "oh wrestling is fake", it pisses me off because of the sheer ignorance towards what the wrestlers put their bodies through. And there's no greater example of that then Mick Foley. Put his body through hell for the sole purpose of entertaining fans. Yes it's scripted, and the punches/strikes aren't real (most of the time), but it's not a competitive sport it's entertainment. And it can tear the bodies of the stars apart.
"That's why I cant have you recording'' as this video is now on UA-cam e
Theres an exclusivity period for those who have actually paid to go
If CM Punk is ever returning to professional wrestling, it'll be joining Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) and Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) in AEW. I honestly can't even imagine him returning to WWE whilst the McMahons or Triple H is in charge.
I think what he was beginning to say before the camera thing (btw could anyone admonish someone for the camera in a nicer way) is that he didn’t push for more guys because he wanted it to mean something whenever he did lobby for someone. And while unfortunate it’s a fair point to consider. From what we hear WWE certainly is a place that rather than recognizing there may be a lot of good wrestlers out there that they should consider, and that’s why someone would be recommending quite a few people, that someone who recommends a lot of guys may just be pushing for everyone rather than seeing a genuine talent.
It makes sense when thinking back to some of the stories we’ve all heard about various wrestlers who somebody pushed too much for and how Vince would suddenly refuse to consider anything about them. I can understand a bit of why they think this way but it is always disappointing how often the WWE has refused to embrace talents who have potential to be big for various silly reasons that less so make sense but more so just seem to be company quirks.

@BC 4467 going from wrestling to UFC is challenging, there's a lot of habits you have to break like pulling punches so I can't hold it against Punk too much

Well, Mick was right...
I really liked the backstage show.
I absolutely love this interviews
If he did...i hope as surprise entrant at the Royale Rumble...i would be happy and at peace if i saw him wrestle one last time
I worked at Serious Parody when my boss offered CM Punk $1M to come wrestle at 5*, that was funny
If Vince and WWE offer him enough zeros, he'd be back.
With punk .. its questionable but with those extra zeroes has always vince in the advantage
AEW offered him a contract but what he wanted was way to big so everyone has a price and he obvs has his
@@dingleberry42069 well they didn't offer him a contract...they talked about it but no figures were discussed
And Punk rejected a AEW offer
Punk is not stupid, he's not going to return to a sinking ship. Nobody watches WWE in North America anymore. Everybody is tuned into MMA. A Conor McGregor, Khabib or Jon Jones PPV these days can probably pull in 10x the numbers a WWE PPV can. It's over and Punk knows this.
Punk should go the Moxley route, go to NJPW for a banger of a G1 where he puts on clinics with all kinds of wrestlers. Remind everyone how good he is, then see where he wants to go.
Punk for *Commentary* !!!
"the more those cameras I see the less honest I can be with all of you" uhhh does Mick not realize he's being recorded anyway?
CM Punk has done everything that can be done in the WWE. Held the WWE title and World Heavyweight title, and was a two time MITB winner.
01:11 I’m not sure why they’re worried about people recording this. This channel obviously recorded it and he had to have known it was being put online and on UA-cam.
I love CM Punk but people need to let it go. He's never coming back.
Part of me could see Punk randomly popping up in New Japan in a couple of years. He's very much a dude that is looking for the thrill of doing something he hasn't done yet and I could see if he got the promise of a big enough program with a small schedule and big money, he'd happily cross NJPW off his pro wrestling bucket list. Or he could never wrestle again. Or wrestle two decades from now. Who knows.
Part of me wants CM Punk back in WWE, but another part of me doesn’t.
The part that does is the part that wants to see him have great matches with the likes of AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns etc.
The part that doesn’t is the part that knows that a lot of the issues that Punk had with WWE are still there. This new situation with WWE taking control of wrestlers Cameo, UA-cam and Twitch accounts won’t help.
Everyone has a price punk will return to WWE in some capacity
Mick Foley and Phil Brooks AKA CM Punk in all elite wrestling
"Even if there is video evidence, I'll just deny I said it." Really Inside the Ropes? You guys couldn't help him out and cut that out? Now it will never hold up in wrestlers court.
It's a joke.
Tashfiq Choudhury Jesus, maybe stop assuming that you're the only one that gets stuff like that. Maybe that will help you to not look like massive twat.

Why not? I mean they cant moan at Foley. Afterall its not foley. It cactus jack.
Punk was a damn good wrestler & the way I look at it could've easily been The Face of WWE. Why he wasn't, Vince McMahon didn't see eye to eye with him like he did with Cena & Alot others. 💯
He is a gentleman♥️
If Cm Punk returns he needs to feud with Jeff Hardy. Have hardy win a main event match and he’s celebrating in the ring then out of nowhere we hear punks music hit with that little static Intro and here comes punk. Jeff and punk stand toe toe in the ring just looking at each other and exchanging some few words and either end the show like that or have one of them attack the other. Either punks attacks hardy then that’ll lead punk to be the heel in this feud or have hardy attack punk out of anger for him being the reason why Jeff had to leave the wwe (story wise). Then just have them feud. Have punk talk about how hardy has made these big mistakes with drugs and alcohol and how he’s the same old hardy like back then when they feuded and even have punk throw in the victory road incident just to make this feel more real. Have Jeff talk about how he’s always stayed wrestling and how his fans never left his side and how he never left the fans side like who cm punk just left the fans. Even have hardy talk about cm punks ufc history and how horrible that went. How Jeff made punk a little more popular by just having that old feud. And just have the two feud going back to back wining matches. Jeff wins some and punk wins some. Then just finally have one more match to end the feud and whoever wins (which I would say hardy cause I like Jeff more than punk) have them both show each other respect and end on good terms with a badass rivalry. It would be better if while they were feuding Jeff has either the WWE championship or the universal championship and have them fight for that belt changing the title holder between hardy and punk.
If he does come back... He better fucking wait until we can have crowds again at least lol.
Everyone kept asking and wondering whether he will ever return while my sorry ass here wonder if wwe would ever induct him into the hall of fame 😭😭
The chances of seeing CM Punk back in wrestling is like building the Great Wall of China’s it’s been a while & he seems happy at what he’s currently doing so yeah it is what it is.
I think he will, but the problem is, every year he doesn't, I think less and less people care. Is CM Punk a big enough deal to come in for one final match or a part time thing like Lesnar or Edge? I honestly don't see him in that light. He was never this massive star to me.
Punk should live out his last wrestling year in either AEW or NJPW.
Did Mick realize Inside the Ropes was taping this? He got on the fan for taping it because of what he might say hurting him with WWE, I’m like “Dude you don’t realize the people interviewing you are filming it?”
They probably had an agreement where mick could see the footage and if he saw it was hard on WWE he would have time to tell Vince or his son what was said and why. Where as a fan could just post it and then everyone feels blindsided and then there's drama. That would be my guess anyway.
Where do we buy the shirt from?!
If Brett Hart can comeback. Anything is possible
Punk vs Rollins would be cool
Mick Foley is my favorite death match teddy bear Santa Claus uncle
Personally I think it’s a “never say never” type thing. I don’t think he’s likely to come back but I’m not gonna place a bet against him coming back.
Punk saved his money he's already happy not taking bumps or dealing with vince
Is it odd that I watch lots of this stuff, yet only watch about 10mins of wwe per month? Last year I tried, I tried hard to get back into it. Notifications on the TV and so forth, tried to keep up. But just kept finding myself shaking my head at the TV. Just isn't what it used to be.
I think he will come back but I also believe his window for ppl really caring for it closed

Punk could be a manager to get new stars over.
So they wanted him to have a match with punk?
People talking about Punk coming back like the christians waiting for the 2nd coming
Who’s here after punk returned to AEW?
Only way he should come back is when they allow large crowds in an arena for AEW.
CM Punk in a WWE ring again as anything other than a CAW in a video game? Won't happen, OK the IWC would literally need clean Nappies, especially front of a live crowd in his native Chicago, but it ain't happening.
punk has moved on with his life away from wrestling unless a company offers him a good amount of money I doubt he’ll come back he seems content not being involved in the business anymore.
People still do not understand that, they believe he still going to have a match in wwe or aew, its not gonna happen
@@gingeta5961 what’s he doing these days?
There’s things WWE needs to do if they want to not get buried by AEW and signing punk if just one of the many things. If punk goes to AEW they are screwed
and he went there and doing so much better in aew with big pops
Punk absolutely should not go back- even if he is given the WrestleMania main event. WWE did not do what they should have with Punk, and Triple H made sure of that all the way through. Triple H never believed Punk truly cared about the company. Who knows if Punk did or not.
punk might wrestle again but it might not be with wwe. cuz punk knows his worth nd he’s not gonna settle for anything lower than wha he feels like is his worth. punk wants 2 things he wants his money nd he wants his main event spot. doesn’t seem like vince is willing to give him those 2 things.
Punk ruined his imagine by not only walking out on the company but the fans as well, pretty much told us to fuck off. Ruined his image in ufc.
