I love moka pot coffee but am dreaming of espresso from it! ha Greetings
You simply can't make espresso from a moka pot. The probability of it exploding at 9bar is pretty high. This normally would be prevented by the release pressure valve on the bottom part. Therefore if you may increase the pressure above 3bars inside the vessel your release valve is going to open. You may have a shot at this tho if you could find a appropriate 3bar tela valve /ball bearing valve, etc. You also could gamble exploding your machine by switching the 3bar release valve with an 9bar one, using a really fine grindsize and tamping everything down. You also may swap the top filter with one suited for espresso machines.... But then maybe that idea is, as said, totally crazy and not recommend

The taste is 8-9 depending on the type of coffee, the coffee gets stronger. i took this valve out of a 30 year old coffee machine and put it into the bialettgi. greetings marco
I wonder if something like a "tesla valve" would have similar effects? No moving parts to gum up that way. Not sure if allowing the coffee to come out easily or with more difficulty would be better. For anyone unfamiliar with a tesla valve it is a one way valve with no moving parts. The channel going one way is fairly direct and easy to travel in a straight line, but if you come in from the opposite direction the path of travel is much more complex and creates back pressure.
I guess with that valve, you create more pressure, meaning also more temperature which can burn the coffee. Maybe with a coarser grinded bean works well, or not, how does it taste?
To get your moka work in the same way just get a Brikka or Mukka or bialetti Crem or Kremina If you want the exact part it is called the pressure solenoid. Which is a pain to get but it is a part sold by commercial coffee maker parts seller. Cheers.
