Unlike others, I feel that for Australia to have and operate a light carrier would stretch our ability to protect it, in other words the carrier would need to be interwoven into an American Task Force. AUKUS could become JAUKUS. In the context of the AUKUS or eventually the JAUKUS, the United Kingdom must double the strength of its SSNs, going from 6 to 12 SSNs... At least. ...Although the ideal would be 14. With Japan like Australia, contributing with 8 SSN; ... At least.

Can you just sum up VLS numbers for the entire navy in the end? Same about displacement. Just make a sum number of combat displacement ships without support and subs. For subs can do that too separatelly, or compare the number of torpedo tubes in total or rockets on them. We need metrics to compare, and thsoe are direct metrics.

Would love to see a video on options if Australia acquired a light carrier. My personal choice would be the South Korean DSME light carrier design of 30,000 tons. It would have a ski jump that the above design does not have, it would be armed with VLS ESSM missiles plus either Mk15 CIWS or the Searam system along with typhoon cannon systems or other weapon. Any other contenders could be the Italian Trieste ship or an enlarged Cavour class carrier.

You really take suggestions or just saying it? You need to mention missiles and ranges more. Cause if the missiles or torpedoes are old, then it doesn't matter how many of them are, if they are slow and if they are outranged by missiles of every navy in the region. Plus in the future navy might get new missiles, making old ships more lethal.
