Great Video! Really like how he emphasize the gear for older civilians, vets, warriors, etc. Back and knees are not like they used to be. Thanks for sharing
I found the seasoned "idgaf" energy quite hilarious! XD People will argue tooth and nail on here about the most optimal, most gucci setup not realizing most of us civilians are lacking in the most important area... experience and training.
With your radio mic I drilled couple holes in the clip and zip tied it to my carrier my kept falling off the Molle when I would move quickly thanks for sharing sir
Thank you! I enjoyed the video and liked your approach. But make sure that the grey fixing strap on the TQ is not closed over. It is blocking the rod and requires extra stressful seconds for release :)
I recently got a cheap plate carrier that fits me very well, but only downside is that there is no molle on the rear plate carrier, so what I need to find is a decent multicam/ocp backpack that can strap around the rear plate carrier (without being too loose) and look decent.
You can salvage one inch webbing from all sorts of stuff and paint/bleach/dye it to match pretty easy. Then get to sewing! Takes some time, but that's the tradeoff for us brokies ;) best of luck g
Great set-up I have and carry very similar equipment. Only difference is I have a back pack attached to the plate carrier, I’d rather carry a i day small assault pack that I can take off and swing around and get to without having to remove the plate carrier.
@@riseagain0130 I can’t download pic here in the comment section. Never been to combat but how do you access the backpack without taking the carrier off. I get that you’re probably not looking downrange if you’re digging in your backpack but it doesn’t seem like a good idea to ever take your carrier off. The other stuff is great though.
It's all user preference. Some sas guys have nothing on their front all the sides and back so they can get lower and not look like a turtle. I have a pack because you'll hopefully not be alone and most the stuff in my pack other then bladder is for buddy support and drone. Also playin around with multiple sets of straps and buckles is just nah..
I do have a carrier with rifle plates but that thing is super heavy. I actual prefer to just run pistol plates and take my chances. There is no way I am doing anything for a long time with the rifle plates. If I was just digging in, I would go for the heavies but if I need to be mobile, pistol plate carrier. It weighs a 1/4 of what my rifle carrier weighs.
I cheaped out on some pouches and learned quickly that was a mistake when I saw how the chinesium pouches flouresced under IR light. I may as well have been wearing glow in the dark kit.
Try velcroing the fupa pouch into the velcro flap that secures the bottom of the plate instead of behind your mags. It will flop around less and wont come off with your cumberbund.
@@scottcampbell2585 yes eBay and I'm sure Amazon have them they are a tactical whip antenna that folds it's a flat military style antenna you get a lot better reception

I think you may have overestimated those dimensions. According to the AR500 website their P2 polyethylene plate is only 1 inch thick and weighs a little over 3 lbs
Interesting. Never seen someone tuck the mags into the Velcro kangaroo pouch on the front of the JPC. Usually you just tuck the Velcro arms front the front placard in there and the it sits on the front/outside of the pouch. But to watch his own. And did you say your plates were 3 inches thick??! I thought I heard that wrong but with you repeated it. I didn’t even know they made ones that thick. Is that just in an effort to be budget? So it’s 6 inches of extra thickness on your torso? My usual preference is to stick below 1 inch thick and less than 5 lbs. shot stop makes some favorites of mine, the duritium gt2 that stops green tip and is only 0.6 inch thick.
Do yourself and loved ones a favor and get some level 3 plates when you can. If the plates you have are only 3a they're only good for pistol rounds. If you're packing a rifle you should realize others will also be packing rifles. Armor should be chosen for the highest threat expected. If the plates you have are lvl 3 and you just mis spoke than all good. Stay safe

Nothing wrong with getting airsoft quality gear because there is no point to spending thousands of dollars on something that has a low probability of happening but I do still fear and its nice to get kit so I am building my own setup using good named stuff and airsoft/cheap quality stuff
Airsoft gear is notorious for falling apart after hard use. It all "looks good", but go low crawl through the dirt, mud and water......slam into cover......ruck through the thick brush and take it in extreme hot/cold. It WILL fall apart.
It’s better to have it and not need it. Cheap gear then upgrade over time. Just went from steel plates to polyethylene omg!!! How much lighter they are.
I love it! Tacti-cools will spend $1000 on a plate carrier setup and $24 on their goddamn crap Baofengs. You could at least buy a surplus Motorola and have it programmed.
Some China brands are actually quite useable, like Spanker, Idogear, and Krydex. Whether something is made in the USA or China, or is considered airsoft tier stuff, is only a matter that concerns Americans, but not everyone else on the planet. When you think about it, a lot of recent conflicts in 2010's saw massive fielding of what would've been considered Grade C, airsoft tier gears by either belligerents, and both sides had used, abused, and put more holes than the average suburban commando with $5000 worth of mall ninja gears.
A couple of LA Police Level III plates for 109 usd each are more than enough. And that backpack is useless. Unless you remove your whole plate carrier, you won’t be able to have access to its content. You can’t reach it. That’s pretty much useless. Just use a hydration pack. And for that Baofeng radio what you need is a rat tail antenna.
Three inches of polyethylene should easily be level 3 instead of 3A. Either you misremembered or the plate is really shitty and probably NOT made of polyethylene.
