In my opinion 2017-2018 Verna 1.6 diesel will be best Sedan in price range between 7-8 Lakh. You will easily get second top SX model with all necessary features which feels up to date. It's a perfect mix of performance & mileage, reliability. Only drawback of this sedan is rear space.
I recently bought a Baleno 2022 pre facelifted zeta model just under 7 lakhs. Got keyless entry, diamond cut alloys, auto dimming irvm, auto folding mirrors, auto climate control, decent music system and leather seats.
Tata motors should bring back the Hexa, really a nice car with great engine, best build quality, and ofcourse the interior is next level premium if compare with it's rivals like ertiga, mararzo, or renult kiger. Hexa was really a great car.

Just 4months back I bought a 5year old CIAZ Alpha automatic just 12km run at under 7 lakh and I am so damn happy with my decision as well as the car. I was searching for a 2nd hand car for a long time and after all the hard work I finally got a good car. At first My family was sceptical about buying a 2nd hand car and wanted to go for a new car. As I was on a budget of 7lakh I couldn’t find any new car which would justify the value of my money. I just blindly went for a test drive of Fronx. The engine of the automatic version was not well tuned and it would cost me well above 11lakh. But after months and months of searching used cars I finally found my CIAZ and after buying the car my family was surprised to see a used car in such good condition. Also I changed their perception about buying a used car. 😊
I brought a used Honda brv diesel, as my first car. After using it for 6 months, I'd say pretty good. Kinda feel good seeing it on the list. Totally underrated in the second hand market.

I stopped buying new cars because of their crazy cost. Two years back I purchased a 2016 Maruti Celerio AMT from True Value for Rs. 3.80 lakhs. It was ideal for city driving but I felt the need to change as the AMT was very jerky and was not sure to take out on the highway. A few months back I traded in the Celerio for a 2018 Ciaz AT. While shopping for the Ciaz I realized that if you are patient there are some amazing low mileage cars you can pick up. These cars will give you as much fun as a new car while not pinching the pocket.
Honda city petrol is best option for most of the buyers. It is a most reliable car available in the market. Old age never comes to it. I purchased 4th used honda city petrol with legal CNG fitted in the car and my running is almost 70 to 80k in a year. Giving me milage of more than 23 to 25 on AC.
