The lights are so beautiful. Here in Australia, where I live, I have seen the magic of the Aurora Australis when on a frosty winter’s night when the atmospheric conditions are right, the lights appear. It doesn’t happen often and I have only seen them once but they were wonderful.
What an amazing couple you are and to give us all an insight to your lifestyle and adventures. You definitely deserve each other and make me smile. Ps thanks for all you hard work putting all your history on UA-cam for us all to enjoy. 👍

Hello you two, very beautiful done, a lot of work, thanks so much. It's much appreciated after these troubled reports around the world, it's nice to join you in the lovely Scottish countryside in May.
Thank you Carol and Ken for the Aurora Borealis scenes. I missed it the first time. Although I agree that rapeseed flowers look wonderful my heart sinks when I see it because it makes my hay fever go on overdrive! Safe travels. See you on the next.
The scenery is spectacular especially travelling to the Flodden Fields and Memorial...plus the accompanying music to it was well chosen...quite emotive considering that the War took many Lives. It was like the fallen Soldiers singing it to their Wive's or their Girlfriend's in Spirit.
beautiful photos of the aurora borealis, we live just north of Sydney and apparently we were able to "see" the aurora australis but with so much light pollution coming from Sydney to the south blocked the view, cheers, Garry from Downunder
The sad thing is they have blocked the car park on the mainland side of the causeway since my last visit with my late mother it was a great place to park up and wait for the tide to either go out or watch it come in, the issue we had using the causeway was someone going slow admiring the scenery with about twenty minutes before the tide came so had to pass them got to mainland parked up and watched it’s amazing how fast it does come in. Etal castle also brings back happy memories Cragside and Chillingham castle are good place’s to visit.
I saw the Northern lights from South Devon one night but it looked different from here. Not obvious swathes of colour but more subtle but beautiful patterns of moving rays of light.
Great video 😁 thank you 👍. The added bonus was seeing what you did with crumpets, eggs and cheese! Where we live here in France crumpets aren’t available so I make my own so now I’ll be adding eggs and cheese ~ as you say …. YUMMY 😊 thank you 👏
I have been following your channel since you got Snoopy and enjoy your footage very much. So informative, yet so down to earth, super filming. I have now started to look back on your travels in Little Red. Happy Travels to you both!
It amazes me when you talk about history in the 1300's. We have nothing recorded from that time where I live. There were native Americans but Europe would not "discover" my area until the 1600's (?) The Northern Lights were glorious. Loved the selfie of the two of you.
The stories of the Seneca go back 60,000 years. A storyteller was obligated to study all of his life to get the story exactly right. Same words, same pauses, same tone so the it was repeated and the feelings were communicated/repeated EXACTLY as the original teller. A young man would begin with shorter stories, telling them to children and visitors. The official storyteller would determine what stories he was ready to tell and his repertoire expanded as he learned. He would be ready by the time the official storyteller was too old, was becoming forgetful or died. If he died prematurely, it was a tragedy for the entire tribe. The apprentice could (and would) study with neighboring clans and relations in other tribes who were storytellers to recover as much as he could. Unfortunately, the government never accepted their histories as they were not written down while the tribe did not trust the practice of writing them as much is lost in translation with no inflections or tears could be intuited by reading flat words. Fortunately, the people of my generation and two generations behind me began recording as many stories as they could from the Elders, the Medicine people and the Storytellers to save as much history as was possible. To the best of my knowledge, only one Navajo Code Talker remains. When he is gone, only what was recorded remains. The best example of what can be twisted by the written word is the book Black Elk Speaks. She did not recognize his humor and took him quite literally. But that’s not my story or my tribe to tell. It was a very good friend of mine’s people. The history his here, you just have to know where to look and who to ask.

Ooh, you've just made my day. Northumbria, the most fantastic county. I know I'm biased, I'm a Geordie, born in Tynemouth. We visit Northumbria every other year from Sussex, and who knows, we might just live there one day ❤. Loved your video, just perfect. How amazing to experience the aurora borealis whilst wild camping. We've never managed to visit the Ford and Etal Estates, and we look forward to this on our next trip in 2026. Lindisfarne is one of our favourite places, we've parked many a time in the large car park, and bought locally grown produce from the villagers running the stall near the entrance. So glad you didn't lose your drone. Can't wait for next Friday 😊😍🚐🐾 xx
