Hi Ashville and team. I'm a primary school teacher and have been watching your episodes for a while - they're great! Recently there has been a lot of news about schools and crumbling cement. In a forthcoming episode can you explain what this unstable cement is, what it's composed of and why a lot of schools and other buildings used it? I know you vlog about cement and aggregates, I don't really understand everything about it, but I think it'll be useful to understand a bit more (if you don't mind). Thanks in advance.

Daniel before you got a tyre fitter in house i didn't realise just how many tyre issues your company have on a week to week basis and how many tyres your vehicles actually go through.
I work around various types of construction application heavy trucks (dump trucks/tippers, tractor trailers, etc) and one tri axle dump truck has 12 tires. Average, we'll usually see about 1-2 punctures per week, per truck. Most can be patched, however, still need a tire man to do the patching

As a digital marketer with 12 years in the game, working from home 1 or 2 days per week has now become the norm. When 90% of the roles are part work from home, you will find it hard to find somebody in this market without offering it I'm afraid, Daniel. Not arguing whether that's a good or bad thing, but that's where the market is these days...
It's his company, his money, his requirements. He said the job is on site, as it should be.

Social media producers are heavily in demand and if anyone agrees to be on-site full time then they are DESPERATE and probably not worth hiring. Different industries have different expectations. It's normal for them to work remotely. You will need to reconsider if you want to find somebody good.
this, as long as the person handling the social media is given the content to post and market then they can definitely do the job fully remote
The hours are also pretty bad. Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm and 2x Saturdays per month for 32k. Not a chance! Take away the Saturdays, make it remote, have flexible hours and add 3k then you'll find someone.
Hi Mr Louisy.
My son uses that 'purple slate' as a ground cover in his garden . More decorative than anything else, with a touch of weed control thrown in (I believe it is used in some southern places as ground cover to help with evaporation, not a problem in Scotland it rains every day. :O) ) . I didn't like the look of it when I saw it at first (in bags in a garden centre) but once on the ground it looks really nice. especially when it is wet and glistening.
I worry (stretching a word's meaning there but... ) sometimes about the amount of work you seem to do but if you are happy doing something rather than sitting on the sofa fair play to you.
But do you need to drive so much; zoom calls, delegation, trusting others to do the tasks asigned to them etc ?

Really appreciate Daniel’s integrity. Knows the value of his business and not prepared to compromise to devalue his brand. Seems clear to me that the other contractor stealing his work is not going to be around for much longer. Can’t blame his client as that is a massive reduction, but I think it is going to be obvious they will be coming back in the future!

that really sucks to be cut out from the competition . as a water proofer i always caught a chuckle at people who would call and get the price from me and then tell me they can get it cheaper. i would always urge them to get it cheaper reminding them I wont get outta bed for less. It was in that moment they seemed to remind themselves of my reputation and why they called lol.
