I'm heartbroken over this story. I'm a father, and I can tell you there is no worse feeling in this world than not knowing where your kid is. I told him "no problem with me, just make sure when I come to pick you up I see you darkening that doorway coming out at 11p. Otherwise, no more concerts." And he never let me down. *Nothing good happens after midnight.*
A father would never let his 16 year old girl take the car to a wide open party with adults. And let her drive home at 1:00am. In Canada a beginner driver isnt allowed on the road from midnight until morning.

And I stayed up many nights after he got to be about 16 years and age has such a tough thing to go through actually even imagine what the parents if you want. This happened to my friend years ago with her brother. He was lost for two weeks. And then some hikers found him with his vehicle. He was driving on the freeway, hit the silver wall thing went over the hill down the mountain. 😔 R. I. P Kendall. I hope they find her very soon! Praying for the family.
Is Kendall your friend? The girl from this case is Kiely and while she’s likely deceased that hasn’t been confirmed yet. I too think she’s with her car somewhere. Either off a cliff or under water. The area she was in has roads with no barriers, steep cliffs and rivers and lakes. If she was intoxicated and trying to get home it’s possible she crashed somewhere. I’m sorry about your friend. 💔✝️

It was a party for the end of the school year (yes, she was 16 but she managed to graduate with honors, basically a great kid on her first party). It was over 200 people there, and it was older group of people who weren't supposed to be there at all. Everyone has different stories, sadly one of those cases where police need to investigate a lot more than they have thought about it. I'm so sorry for everything, but somehow I knew that this was going to be a disaster. :(

But as I’ve been digging, I’ve seen inconsistencies with the stories given by her friend (I guess her “friend” isn’t even following her on IG but is following her ex-bf) which being 21 years old - it’s extremely strange for people my age to not follow someone back that they’re such close friends with unless there was a falling out.

Doubt it. Its not really that hard to find cars that went off road and crashed. Its more likely that whoever did something to her, took her car and drove of far away and hid the car.
I find it hard to believe that with today's technology they can't determine not only where her cell phone is, but also who's cellphone was traveling together with hers at the last data point. I hope they find her 🙏
Can only trace a signal if its powered. As for determining the point of last signal, without knowing the cell tower coverage of the area its impossible to know how accurate the data they're working with is.

Typically, having a license below the age of 18 comes with restrictions regarding where and when they can drive, and who can be in the vehicle. There are also legal curfews that don't allow minors to be out after a certain hour. The laws/rules are in place to help keep minors safe, but if parents don't enforce them, well...
Not going to lie when I say those aren’t your friends. They knew you were to drunk to drive home and knew creepy older guys were there and here friends STILL left her there alone.

This seems crazy to me. They can absolutely find out the last cell towers her phone was connected to. And you don't have to be on a call or sending a text for this information. Cell phones are constantly connected to a tower so long as it's receiving a signal. They must have that info, which should give them a very good idea on where to search.
This is unfolding where I live. Well, not far from me. Only about 30 minutes but we are a small rural area. Everyone is just largely spread out. Thank you Law and Crime for posting this up. Any amount of sharing and forwarding could make the difference of finding her and not. The communities around here have posters everywhere. Videos like this is just as good to spread awareness. Please share. Someone somewhere has seen her. It's rumored that people are not coming forward because of underage drinking at the party. They are not investigating that. Unfortunately, these cases usually don't end well. There are 100's of miles of remote forest service roads in the Tahoe National Forest and beyond. Her and her car could be anywhere.

AWP Always finds people in the areas the cops “already searched so many times”, i’ve even seen local law-enforcement try to stop them from searching areas because it’s been already covered *eye roll*. It is great to see the level of involvement that law enforcement is dedicating to this missing person case. The level of media coverage is fantastic as well. It would be amazing if ALL missing person cases were treated in this manner.
over half a million people go missing in america every year so i'm pretty sure that's not attainable. that would either require the funding for police to go up like 10x at least or stop investigating any other type of crimes...
It’s a large community that both cares and where law enforcement is well funded, pure and simple. People go missing in other areas, the community at large just goes about life like nothing happened, people aren’t able to take off work to search, no one works with the police, and/or the police don’t have the resources or people to mount a massive search 24/7 for days.
Well in Germany was a similar case a couple of days ago and the young men who vanished after a party drowned in a nearby lake. So maybe she had an accident too.
Somebody knew about this big party for sure. My thoughts are they were looking for a victim and she found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or perhaps she knew the person? They need to find that car.

The only alternative explanation would be someone sending those texts in her name giving them time to dispose of her and evidence of the crime(s). This being an accident is VERY UNLIKELY.

They've found people decades later within miles of their disappearance, in a ravine or underwater. I believe she went off the road somewhere and she's still there in her car. If she were abducted the car would have been found by now by someone.
That's not the case.. there are sophisticated human trafficking rings that are very good at what they do. If this is one of those cases then that car will most likely never be located as it would have been chopped.

That's the exact same thing that came to my mind. A 16 year old with a car, allowed to go to a massive party without any supervision, and with the knowledge that she'd be drinking and probably even more. If my parents allowed me to do that at that age I would've assumed that they wanted to get rid of me. It's not like the mother sent her on her way knowing she'd get lost, but ma'am... you gave a 16 year old a car and allowed them to go to a party alone... she's a minor. She doesn't know any better.

My opinion she ended up in the water. She texted her mom around 11:30pm to say she would be leaving the party in the next 45 minutes. There was a last ping to her phone at 12:33am then the phone turned off, sounds like she hit the water around that time,also the reason they can't find her car is because its in the water.
If those mesages are correct it doesnt seem she was totally drunk. If you are that drunk you are either not messaging or your messages are incomprehensible. Seems odd as she was specific with times and replying fine to her mothers message.

This party should have been busted up and tickets issued as soon as it was known. Were there no security cams at the entrance/exit to the campground? This includes butnnot being limited to giving them the freedom to drive themselves around at the earliest age allowed.
So they let them do things like take their credit card and make purchases with it, go to place with no supervision, and dress however they want. Some even let them drink
Typically, having a license below the age of 18 comes with restrictions regarding where and when they can drive, and who can be in the vehicle. There are also legal curfews that don't allow minors to be out after a certain hour.
The laws/rules are in place to help keep minors safe, but if parents don't enforce them, well...

There is PLENTY of time for a person to party once they're an ADULT! Not getting on to the mother, I know you was just being a fun mom, but the world is full of monsters called humans. I hope she is safe, and that this is solved quickly. Once again, I am NOT sending anger towards the mom. She seems a sweet person. Being a parent is the hardest job in the universe.

This seems crazy to me. They can absolutely find out the last cell towers her phone was connected to. And you don't have to be on a call or sending a text for this information. Cell phones are constantly connected to a tower so long as it's receiving a signal. They must have that info, which should give them a very good idea on where to search.

A lot of the family is saying they don't think she would drink & drive so they don't believe she's in the water. Even if they're right, a quick way to cover up foul play would be putting the car in the water. Do you guys remember Doug saying on a previous AWP video that they can tell from phone records wether the phone is off bc of a 'soft shutdown' meaning it was manually powered off or if it was a 'hard shutdown' meaning it was destroyed or submerged in water? I think that information could help. If she's in any water around there, AWP will find her for sure.

It is great to see the level of involvement that law enforcement is dedicating to this missing person case. The level of media coverage is fantastic as well. It would be amazing if ALL missing person cases were treated in this manner.
over half a million people go missing in america every year so i'm pretty sure that's not attainable. that would either require the funding for police to go up like 10x at least or stop investigating any other type of crimes...
It’s a large community that both cares and where law enforcement is well funded, pure and simple.
People go missing in other areas, the community at large just goes about life like nothing happened, people aren’t able to take off work to search, no one works with the police, and/or the police don’t have the resources or people to mount a massive search 24/7 for days.
No contact, no cell, vanished, no vehicle.

Well in Germany was a similar case a couple of days ago and the young men who vanished after a party drowned in a nearby lake. So maybe she had an accident too.
Somebody knew about this big party for sure. My thoughts are they were looking for a victim and she found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or perhaps she knew the person? They need to find that car.
@@lillbee868 Yeah no. She was on her way home when she last texted her mother. Assuming she was the one who wrote the texts. The only alternative explanation would be someone sending those texts in her name giving them time to dispose of her and evidence of the crime(s). This being an accident is VERY UNLIKELY.
Doubt it, her best friend said Keili was really drunk and didn't think she would drive like that but....... Time to start checking embankment, rivers and ravines.... Prayers for her safe return.

They've found people decades later within miles of their disappearance, in a ravine or underwater. I believe she went off the road somewhere and she's still there in her car. If she were abducted the car would have been found by now by someone.

That's the exact same thing that came to my mind. A 16 year old with a car, allowed to go to a massive party without any supervision, and with the knowledge that she'd be drinking and probably even more. If my parents allowed me to do that at that age I would've assumed that they wanted to get rid of me.
It's not like the mother sent her on her way knowing she'd get lost, but ma'am... you gave a 16 year old a car and allowed them to go to a party alone... she's a minor. She doesn't know any better.
When I saw her car, I thought "that's a better car than I have and I'm a 50 year old with a professional job." I see this all of the time...most 16 year old kids have a better phone than I do as well.
I was allowed this much freedom as a teen, and I believe being allowed to grow up has given me an edge in contrast to my peers.

My opinion she ended up in the water. She texted her mom around 11:30pm to say she would be leaving the party in the next 45 minutes. There was a last ping to her phone at 12:33am then the phone turned off, sounds like she hit the water around that time,also the reason they can't find her car is because its in the water.
Her friend said the last time she saw Kiely at the party they were both totally drunk. 16 years old?

So is this campground going to face charges for hosting a large crowd of superdrunk teenagers? I really hope there is some accountability for this nonsense. This party should have been busted up and tickets issued as soon as it was known. Were there no security cams at the entrance/exit to the campground? Have security cams been checked nearby around the time the last text was sent? I know a lot has been done to find her but its hard for me to find this info. Just looking for clarification on a few things. This a total nightmare😔
