Yamcha's crumpled body when he wins the game is a reference to when he got blown if by a saibaman. He was posed that exact way, which is why he made a comment about 'sacrifice.'
The crossover is with a girl called Arale from Dr Slump, another work from Akira Toriyama. She already appeared in OG Dragon Ball and she returned for this gag episode Dr Slump actually made Toriyama the richest man in Japan before he wrote Dragon Ball
Toriyama's early work was mostly one-shot mangas, but when Dr. Slump was an unexpected hit, it became a long-running series that turned him into a millionaire. Dragon Ball is the direct successor to Dr. Slump, specifically made to replace Slump's slot in Weekly Shonen Jump; DB started not long after Slump ended. It's always fun when DB pays tribute to its 'ancestor', and there's no shortage of fun crossovers between the two series. (I recommend Ep.56-59 of the '1997' Slump anime)
@@gabrielchastain6091 it being in this episode means it doesn't actually count for shit, so why are you even saying this, it's been explained in the zamasu hakai video anyway.
Toriyama's humor is honestly an "acquired taste". It can be corny as hell but you sort of get used to it and find it funny after a while. Its something that people who havent seen OG are missing. In essence, Toriyama is a gag manga artist first and a fight manga artist second. Its the mistake that people like me take with this whole franchise. In a filler episode of Dragon Ball Z, Yamcha had become a professional baseball player. It's fun that they referenced that here with him being great at it.
If they hadn’t already established that they have the richest family on their side (the Briefs) then all of them could’ve just made money being professional athletes lol.
I'm pretty sure everyone's going to explain Yamcha's pose at the end but yeah, it's a reference to his first death when he died by a saibaman and became the biggest DBZ internet meme
Its quite a shame that Toriyama's legendary Dr Slump creation got skipped out, his creativity is so much more then just his Dragonball legacy after all.
the subs were more clear for episode 69. When goku told Arale to not mess with lord beerus he also said "that gag stuff won't work on him" so pretty much yes apparently gods are immune to gag character tropes.......literally broken af
Arale is my nightmare, they put her in Tenkaichi Budokai 3 and legit one of the most unbeatable characters in the hands of a good player, imagine being broly getting smacked around by a little girl 🤣

I love how Aimin didn't recognize the way Yamcha was laying in the crater exactly how was laying in the crater when he got killed in Dragon Ball Z against the Saibamen lol 🤣🤣🤣

I think there should have been a fan service on that episode as the number says 69 😂

No joke, the baseball episode is probably one of my top dbs episodes 💀
Yeah there are a couple of filler episodes I didn't like but a lot of them are fun and have Destroyers and Angels
This episode was so hilarious. Had me dying when it first aired🤣🤣🤣

Lmao Vegeta is hilarious 😂
For those of you who does not know the creator of Dragon Ball created that character long before Dragon Ball was even a thing
YES YES I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE it's such a good filler!
17:24 "Oh son of a pitch." Nice pun Vegeta
What is so cool about this destruction is that Lord Beerus didn't even say anything. He just simply erased him with style.
2:57 It's like Vegeta knows he's a anime character too, But he's just not on her level of power.

Arale is from dr slump which is a early 80s gag manga and was wrote by akira toriyama before he wrote Db.
If you didn't notice at the end when yamcha was laying in the crater it was a call back to when he first died to the saibaman😂
True that was funny as hell
After Yamcha retired from fighting, he went on to become a professional baseball player, the best in the world in fact
We’ve finally caught up to one of the best filler episodes in Dragon Ball history.
The baseball one was pretty good too I guess
