I was gunna say, I just watched/ listened to this on my 6 mile walk with my dogs and I get home for it to be posted 3 min ago? I was confused...and sad I missed the slip...lol Ok, now to finish it, in AC...lol Thanks Mr kray kray ❤
Once again small content creators being punished for something larger content creators get away with daily!😡just found a 13mil content creator who uploaded this yesterday and nothing was edited out! This is like the second time this has happened to you in just the last few months! 💔
I worked on the rigs on the BP Magnus field, luckily it wasn't as bad as this rig, and we only worked two weeks on/two weeks off but the accents, and the way they interact with each other is spot on.
9GB!? Truly a great feat with how nice the textures and materials are, whoever was in charge of compressing all this and getting to to be 9GB deserves all the praise!
It's Unreal! Ha ha. 9 Gigabites is an enormous amount of data. You can immediately see repeated textures and colors, and the new engine is all about efficiency. Most of the space is likely in the sound and animation department. This developer knows their shite. Talent trumps file size every time.
I really like the Scottish accents, adds a lot to the characters. The voice acting is great! Not sure why people have such a problem with it. Also can’t believe the game is only 9GB. Nice of the devs to actually care about compressing their game and not having bloated file sizes like a lot of titles these days.
I've seen a couple people playing this game, but I'm so so so glad that I decided to watch yours first. Your knowledge of food, accents, lingo, etc. makes this an absolute delight to watch. (commenting this while you're googling their Christmas Dinner Menu hehe)
First impressions, visuals and sounds are really, really good. So much details ! It really feels immersive. I thought the effect when you went underwater in the water tank area was short but impactful. You truly feel the horror, disbelief and fear of the characters. I love the accents as well, it feels more realistic and the subtitles are fine if you don't understand everything. I love how quickly you get into character and I was surprised by how much I cared about the side characters even though we barely get to know them. It means a lot about how good the game is. It runs pretty smoothly and I'm really surprised by the file size as well wow. I'm watching this while having a late night dinner and it's perfect ☺️ Can't wait to see more!!
From the dinner menu, Mulligatawny is a curry soup and Cockaleekie is a leek/chicken soup, they're easy enough to find in stores. I don't personally like Black pudding but it just tastes like sausage (hogs pudding is where its at). I don't know if I trust "Bean Surprise" either, I've seen 70's cookbooks. "Running around like a blue-arsed fly" is moving like a blue bottle fly, so kind of crazy and all over the place.
Also, I gotta say; I LOVE that there's a woman working on the rig. She's also funny lol she reminds me of my relatives and some older friends. She'd fit in in the midwest 😂
New hairdo looks sick my guy! Adding an edit at the end of the video because I actually like the Scottish accent... It's nice to see that and not have the game fall into the trap movies do where ever culture not American somehow has a British accent. That always drives me crazy.
Okay blonde hair!! Also it’s hilarious that the subtitles don’t match with the Glaswegian, like lecky for electrics but then keep in other things, like “two baws in a bawbag” lmfao My dad is from Glesga and my grandma and uncle used to live in Royston (💀) before they moved to assisted living. Truly my favorite city in the world
I think the nickname “Trots” is possibly a jokey reference to “Trotsky”, Trots seems to be the fella most passionate about the union and workers rights in that little breakfast scene anyway Also O’Connor def has a northern Irish accent! I’m from there and you barely hear it in games at all, very cool! Thanks for playing Kravin, enjoying the atmosphere a lot!
The "localization" for some of the subtitles isn't necessary, I think. I think all English speakers understand that "right from the off" means "right from the start". And "quiet-like" didn't need to become "quietly".
I mean, maybe they are for poor non-native speaker like me, ahah I can manage to understand the meaning by the context of it but really, sometimes it's still difficult
Damn, that voice acting is some of the best I've heard in a VERY long time! Also: Innis & Gunn is delicious! If you can, find some of their whiskey cask beer - it's sodding fantastic
I know you kept saying it, but I'll reiterate it as well. 9 gigs! This is amazing! The detail in this game is astounding. The mocap, the subtle details too. Really really cool! Also, eff those people complaining about the Scottish accents. again, as you said. Not everyone has a Merikan accent.
The blonde looks good on you, it's just new. It's like spotting an anomaly or a doppelganger. I just need to get accustomed to seeing blonde. The Chinese room I have a love hate relationship with. They can make these amazing maps and tell a great story but in some cases the gameplay wasn't there to draw it all together. Machine for pigs, I can tell that they had a story they wanted to tell, but this was an amnesia game. They threw in some gameplay that basically left AMfP to be a walking sim. I loved the story, I loved the layout but they were so close to amazing but a bunch of small things kept it from being what it could have been. So I am excited to see this and CR do fantastic work again.
Okay first off I saw a few bits of this on twitch and knew it was good and was like "I have to tell Kravin to play this" and you already had it up! I was so excited to see all the bits I missed! Second, Love the blond hair. Looking good my man! Quite a throwback, too! Also, I love the VA in this. I love scottish accents and this is just perfect. I also appreciate the translation to english.
I’m glad you’re enjoying Scotland! We’re heavily considering moving there next year. My wife’s an US expat and I’m a EU citizen so I’m hoping to get a skilled worker visa. Not looking forward to more paperwork lol
9gb had me floored, I was thinking to myself how good this game looks. And, my first thought, after seeing the ship map, was to go straight to the showers and see if theres any beefy butts or peen. That's where my mind goes. 😅😅
Just as a reminder. It only takes roughly 1.5 gigabytes of data, compressed to make a human. DNA is shockingly efficient. At the same time, unfortunately wasteful.
Gobshite is Irish 😋. But anyway. Thanks for always making me Laugh Kravin. Out of curiosity,as I've never heard the story, how did you come up with the name 'Mr Kravin'
Oh cool! I hear the scotts over here say it all the time, it might have been a word they brought over here lol And I came up with it back when I was playing Final Fantasy 11 (the first online one). I was Kravin and he was Morehead, and we would always be in groups together lol. We were in high school and thought it was hilarious.
@@MrKravin That's cool. Thank you for replying 😊. Yeah gobshite is a brilliant cuss/swear. One of the characters in the Hilarious Irish comedy (from the 1990s) Father Ted, says it quite a bit. I was born in England but my little sister, me and my parents moved to Ireland when I was 7 as my Mammy wants to be back in Ireland living close to her Mammy. It was from 1995 to 1999. So Father Ted is extra funny to me as it's so spot on of what Ireland was like. Idk if you've ever watched it but I think you might find it funny. If you do watch it let me know what you think 🙂
Nah, it's not worth getting a veggie version. It ain't life changing, just slightly better than mid/gross out. Made the Scotsman chefs day askin' for one, but not sure how authentic it was in the states.
Copied ower like a boss wi yer status report: Comment fir th' accents. Engagement is an industrial maze wi spooky caterwaulin' an' gibberin' mouthers aw ower. Bonus is learnin' UA-cam is skeered o' a four letter word.
Had to reupload this one, a C word slipped through lol
Whoopsie

Yeah, we tend to be pretty sneaky ;)
UA-cam needs to chill 😭

The first time I started watching this I had to stop to have an emergency appendectomy, and now I can watch it all at once while I recover.
I worked on the rigs on the BP Magnus field, luckily it wasn't as bad as this rig, and we only worked two weeks on/two weeks off but the accents, and the way they interact with each other is spot on.
My uncle Jimmy who works on oil rigs does 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. A fairly long time away from the family. But to compensate the pay is high.

@@roberthadley1560 I thought it looked like Unreals rendering.

the achievement kravin got when extinguishing the fire being called 'Fahrenheit 0451' is cute, good detail

I enjoyed all the Scotland insight you had on the game, being a resident!
Finally a good Dead Space sequel
New drinking game: take a shot for every OSHA violation. (Ok it's not a US rig, tough.)
Welcome to the 1970s, when human decency had yet to be invented.
From the dinner menu, Mulligatawny is a curry soup and Cockaleekie is a leek/chicken soup, they're easy enough to find in stores. “The Thing” in Scotland waters instead of Antarctica Tundra. Love it!
Also, I gotta say; I LOVE that there's a woman working on the rig. She's also funny lol she reminds me of my relatives and some older friends. She'd fit in in the midwest 😂
I would never play this alone, way too scary! 😅 This is so fun watching/“playing” the game with you. So comforting. Great playthrough! 😊
Loving these Scottish horror games. I started reading The Haar because of you, lol. 🥰🥰
Seriously LOVE how scary and authentic this game is. Loving your playthrough, and can't wait to play myself. (Also nice hair, my duder 💪)
New hairdo looks sick my guy!

It's weird that there were subtitle "translations" for "blows a gasket." I didn't think that was an uncommon saying.
I think the nickname “Trots” is possibly a jokey reference to “Trotsky”, Trots seems to be the fella most passionate about the union and workers rights in that little breakfast scene anyway

The game looks great and I enjoyed all the bits of Scotland you explained! Thanks for the video ^^
9 gigs of purely water physics you'll rarely see.
This game reminds me of the rig( a Scottish supernatural series ) I really enjoyed it
Oh man everything about this game is right up my alley. I'm loving this!
Imagine having to do those jumps and ladder climbs under the rig in VR.
After watching like 30+ of your videos, mid tour of Glasgow I realized I hadn't subscribed yet and corrected that immediately, haha

Nah. There are a lot of English speakers who are not native speakers and those extra details could help a lot with understanding
I love that Caz crawls along beams and shit, none of this tightrope walking nonsense. He keeps fit, but he's not a fucking Wallenda.
I'm guessing that guy at the end has low blood sugar and so should NOT be taking insulin. That will lower it further.
Oh jeez this game is ALL of my worst nightmares combined
Can't wait to see more of that weird blobby thing in the next video. 10/10 creature design, creepy and gross and fun
Damn, that voice acting is some of the best I've heard in a VERY long time!

The Cadal logo looks exactly like the Chicago Cubs logo lol.

Great game! I got some big Stasis vibes from this!
Good looking game

Gotta love a game with gratuitous nakey butt shots! 😂
Love your new hair color sweets! Super cute ❤❤

What's wrong with haggis? Tried some here in the states and thought it was pretty decent.
I think it's just because I know how it's made. I could totally (maybe) do a vegan or veggy haggis.
Nah, it's not worth getting a veggie version. It ain't life changing, just slightly better than mid/gross out. Made the Scotsman chefs day askin' for one, but not sure how authentic it was in the states.

He casually says, imagine living in a room like this for months, whilst most of us watching live in horrible rooms our whole life….thanks kravin.
You should film your husband's reaction
love the videos
Its so rude that people are complaining about the accents. Discriminatory
