Bill the kind of guy who doesn't read the terms and conditions of anything.
That dash display has a medical equipment vibe
Undefeated for 3 years straight in SCCA Showroom Stock '85-'87 (as in they won every single race). Porsche and Lotus got so butthurt they got together and had them banned from the series and they were forced to race against themselves in Corvette Challenge.
"Somebodies going to die." Bill you're the best.
This guy could sell an ice cream cone in the winter!!
The only car on the planet with rear cornering lights.
By FAR the coolest pop up headlights ever.
Resale Red and in Mint Condition !
When I was a teenager I had a poster on my bedroom wall of that exact Corvette (a red C4 Z51) alongside another poster of a Lamborghini Countach. I know which one I want to drive & maintain now as a 40yr old sports car...
2,500 RPM @ 90 MPH. That would yield excellent highway fuel mileage.
The 1984-90 was such a clean looking design.
Best pop-ups headlights ever!
Great video Bill! Thank you!! I was 15 in 1984; much like yourself, i practically memorized Car and Driver and Motor Trend each month! When the new Corvette came out in '84 i was blown away. The steamroller Gatorbacks on the rear,; the styling and clamshell hood and the tradition baked into new technology. This generation still gets to me! This example of yours is like being transported back to 1985.
I was blown away when I saw these for the first time. Thank God for Corvettes…
The first "modern" Corvette I saw in Finland was a red C4 4+3 coupe. Since then, it has been a dream car for me. A timeless and ageless beauty.
I had one of these fly by me on a divided highway in Jan. '85! It must have been doing 90 or 100mph! By the time I got my Volvo up to that speed it was long gone! It was the first time I had seen one of the new Corvettes - and it was the last time I ever saw that one! lol
My Dad bought the 84. Red with grey leather. Which replaced his 82 Mazda RX7. It was so advanced for the time, it was amazing. I still love these Corvettes.
I LOVE the C4 Corvette, especially after the facelift and interior update of the early 90s. I had a 1995 convertible w/optional removeable hard top. LOVED that car. Loved the LT1, sounded great, rode great, awesome sound system. very under appreciated! I have a 78 C3 now, and I miss the comfort of the 95
Can’t believe it’s 39 years old 😮 That used to be really old for a car
I must be the same age as Bill. Because I too was a car kid in grade school when the 1984 vette dropped..it was massive news. On every car magazine cover, cut away pullout centerfolds, guys going to dealership just for the sales brochures. My uncle had to have the next new thing and I remember him pulling up to the house in a black 84. It was like a spaceship. Probably why I have C4s now.
