I've a partial dislocation of the sternoclavical joint . Orthopedics decided to leave it to heal dislocated rather than go the surgical route. I was told not to go to my Osteopath to have it relocated.
I have the same thing, partial anterior scj dislocation, surgeon said it was risky to operate so left it alone. I had seen several physios and chiropractors for therapy but nothing helped substantially.
@Jon-ErikScope tell me about it!. Mines aggravated an old whiplash injury but no amount of physio or ultrasound is helping. I'm no longer able to do upper body workouts and laying down to sleep is so uncomfortable unless I'm using heat pads on my neck and shoulders. It's miserable 😪
@childofgod00 I don't have so much discomfort trying to sleep now but I'm trying to get another scan to check nothing is impinging on anything it shouldn't. I'm still very wary of carrying to much or how i work out.
Yep this is much similar to how im presenting and have been for years following partial shoulder replacement that rendered me unable to flex biceps or abduct shoulder out to side or in front... ive mentioned my clavicle also stated my sternum has definitive bulge scapular notching catching clicking with pain numbness and anesthia parasthetica senn over 10+ docs they all are not only rude but also seemingly blatantly ignoring my symptoms and complaints 4 nerve conduction tests later and im just about to head into surgery next week with the ortho only revusing original partial whilst not promising relief from scapular / rib pain / numbness / dysphagia what should i do? Interesting that only 7mm of deviation can classify as seperation 😮especially considering dics have basicaally refused me of removal of 17mm loose intra-articualar body found during ct in my upper axillary recess but that was 2yrs ago! Im curious if the loose body could have anything to do with symptoms?? P.s. glenoid rim is suspected donor site of loose body
Thanks for the great info here! I have had this for about 7 years following an injury I sustained playing basketball. Going for the ball, I was tripped and landed on my right elbow as the opponent fell on top of me. The lateral pressure through the humerus "punched" the joint apart. Now it sticks up way out place, clicks and pops whenever I hug someone or do push ups, etc. Went to several doctors in my area and they all say nothing can be done except surgery. It has started to hurt. It feels like my entire rib cage is out of alignment. Do you know of any doctors like you in the Southwest VA or NC area?
So I had a injury to shoulder/clavicle from heavily fishing a year ago and had pain with any movement of right shoulder and limited mobility and the pain crossed over to clavicle area. Only imaging done might have been an xray but nothing drs were.worried about and even made it seem like it was over use and arthritis (bad family history of arthritis) plus I have Multiple Sclerosis. Now I have noticed that when i move my should with arm in a position of brushing child hair with them sitting in front of me on a bed and my arm is held a level but arm moves away from chest and back to center with slight movements up and down and anyway there is popping that is heard and felt and has some mid level pain while popping but not much after popping unless it pops multiple times in a row them the pain lingers. Is this something that can be corrected and worked on at home or do I need to see about going back to ortho dr?? (Sorry so long?) I just don't want to be looked at like I am crazy for seeing dr for popping of clavicle area due to injury from overuse while fishing. I appreciate any advice or home help that you feel comfortable giving. Thanks
I have had this issue for almost 10 years, although my sc joints and clavicle are much more pronounced. Im not sure what to do as I have done pretty much everything and the surgeon I saw said it wouldn't help to get sc joint reconstruction. Any suggestions?
Dear Sir good morning, sir recently I had been to gym and i m suffering from rt. Clavicle sc joint subluxation anteriorly since 15days.Could you please help me?? Thank you!!
i think i have this. And I'm just not able to carry heavy stuff anymore. I mean I can just have to hold it closer to my body when I lift stuff maybe that's how your always suppose to lift heavy stuff but yeah more emphasis on holding it closer to my stomach. But from when I was a kid and as I grew up I noticed that my collar bone on my right has always been like sticking out and one time I told a doctor and he just said oh its fine. And I was like um i dont think so. But the not being able to lift heavy stuff has really just happened in the beginning of this year.
I have the same thing, my right clavicle has stuck out more than my left one for a while now! No pain and I still have the same range of motion as the other clavicle. Thoughts?? Please I don't want surgery
Wow, I wish I had care like this for my SC joint. I was diagnosed with scapular dyskinesia caused by a work related injury a few years ago. I had done PT for months resolving the dyskinesia, but the pain had persisted. Now they tell me I have a pinched nerve in my neck (which is slowly getting resolved). The only thing my doctors don't seem to have an answer for is the pain, and popping in my SC joint, and just overall discomfort in my left pectoral/arm. I'd love more options on how to solve this other than just stretching my chest, and getting injections. Do you think adjustments like these would help?

Hi, what is the best exercise for anterior stenoclavicle subluxation? And, is it alright to continue exercises if the pain is minimal?
There is no excercise for that, you need to have it set back in place.
