- Just in time for the new series this weekend I help dad make a life size TARDIS prop! ... but it's not bigger on the inside.... however it is built to be flatpacked so it doesn't have to live on the driveway!

The TARDIS is on wheels. This was accurate to the prop in the episode The Celestial Toymaker. In a shot, you could see it was indeed on wheels.

I know I’m a bit late but do you still have the measurements for this? I would love to build one sometime in the future but I don’t know where I would find accurate measurements.
There are measurements for all things doctor who on the tardis builders website.
I have a plan to build one of these one days xD backed up towards a barn and building a console room , just have to find a way to try and disuse the obvious fact it leads into the barn!

Amazing work. I've wanted a box since I was about 7. Now I'm 50 years old, and have just moved into a place where there's room out the back to build one. This may be sacrilege, but I'm not a huge fan of the 9th/10th/11th Boxes made by Ed Thomas. They seem too big and too differnet to the real police boxes. Jodies is a little closer to it, and I'm very much a fan of McGann's. Yours has a really nice size, deep blue colour and RECTANGULAR panels/windows as opposed to the huge square ones. Much kudos to you and your dad!
Very nicely done. There is a Police Box built by Dorset Police in the Boscome area of Bournemouth, and my buddy John built one in his back garden.
Using the wheels is GENIUS good work👌

I love how you call it a TT capsule which hardly no one calls it (if they aren’t a big fan) but the type 40 part is a bit well, yuck!
This is absolutely fantastic. Would it be possible to get the plans you used for this. I've always wanted to build one and your version is by far the best I have seen. With this whole lockdown I now have plenty of time to work on one. Thanks.

What a great build looks fantastic ( little tip for filling gaps use sawdust and pva add what ever stain you are using to the dry sawdust then the pva and it will dry the colour of your project

You should take it to a city and stay in it and when people walk near make it play the tardis sound

everything except the bigger inside than out part, to do that you would need to build a card is interior with working tardis doors you would need the other end of the tardis open and place it at the entrance and that would create the bigger inside than out llusion.

Yeah thats a point the real tardis would have to waterproof its wood outer shell i didnt really think about that.
