I have been a Sunni Muslim for almost 50 years, and involved in the establishment of Islamic schools (Sunni) for more than 40 years in Australia. Right now, for various reasons, I am teaching in a Shia school. They respect me, and I respect them, although there are still many differences between us. The kids are the most devoted to their Deen of the students that I have taught over the years. The students know I am Sunni, and we often discuss our differences - on Salat, on the celebration of Muharram, but our ethics are the same, their love for the Prophet saw is the same, and their adab is good. There is hope 🤲🏻
I'm am shocked to read " on the celebration of Muharram " and I'm also not surprised at all you being a sunni Muslim for 40 yrs and you have not heard the word " Mourning in Muharram " Shia don't Celebrate Muharram, they mourn. Sunnie (Wahabee) and Ummayed clan celebrate Muharram cause it was their victory in the battel of Karbala killing and mutilating bodies of the Family of our Beloved Prophet Mohammed (SA). And I'm certain you have heard this "Celebrating Story" in your mosque in your 40 yrs of being a Sunnie Muslim. This clearly shows that you are there in a Shia school for just Monetary purpose and not to for real purpose of " teaching " As long sunnie / Wahabee keep calling the Killer /Enemies of the families of Prophet Mohammed (SA) as "Raziallah " there is no hope of shia and sunnie coming together . @@mirmushtaqali9388oh dear, sounds like a political event and nothing to do with the deen itself. So sorry it happened, and you are within your rights to mourn and commemorate the anniversary of that event, but make no mistake that it’s not part of our religion, Islam.
@@mirmushtaqali9388 Mr. Mir, I'm sorry to say that you're also basing this hugely emotional response on misinformation on what Sunnis believe. Yes, we know the Shia mourn the martyrdom of the beloved Husayn RA and his family at Karbala. The word "celebration" used in the sister's comment was probably an inaccuracy on her part, like the brother above said, so there is no need to make such claims on her intention. We obviously don't celebrate the killing of Husayn RA or anything of the sort, as that would be insane! We, too, mourn the death of the grandson of our Prophet SAS, but we don't live through it every year in the same way Shias do, so it's not that significant for us nor is it always on our minds; not out of disrespect for Husayn RA but simply that we dont give that particular emphasis on his martyrdom as the Shia do. We deal with that struggle as a Fitna that occured a long time ago, in which so many companions gave their lives as martyrs as well, and Allah saved us from it so there is no use for us in reliving it. As we don't have this tradition of ritual mourning in Muharram that's probably why the sister didn't pay attention to that word in her comment. Don't take it personally. That's one point. The second point is, not all Sunnis are "Wahhabis" and even Wahhabis don't curse Ahlul Bayt or celebrate Karbala or say Radiallahu An Yazid or any of that nonsense. Those who do so would be called Nasibis and Sunnis don't support them. You may be getting confused by what some of your Imams might have said. Sunnis only say RA on Muawiyah, and not his son Yazid, because: 1. Muawiyah was actually a companion of the Prophet (SAS). He met with him as a young man and narrated from him. That is our criteria of using that phrase "Radia Allahu Anhu" (RA for short) which we say automatically after the name of any companion. 2. Muawiyah himself never killed Ali RA or any of his family nor ordered their death, as is sometimes falsely claimed. He faught Ali RA in battle, yes, over the issue of Uthman's killers, and we know as Sunnis for a fact that Ali RA had the right in that fight, but they had agreed to arbitrate, which unfortunatelt hadn't reached a peaceful conclusion by the time Ali RA was murdered by the Kharijites (who also tried to assassinate Muawiyah but failed). So, to us, this was again a Fitna that occured between the companions that we don't involve ourselves in. As for Yazid, we all know he was a very bad leader by all accounts and did some horrible things and we thank Allah that he died quickly before matters got worse. We don't say RA after him cuz he wasn't a companion. The third and final point, we fast on the 10th of Muharram (Ashura) and observe it with religious solemnity in adherence with the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAS) as he did so himself in celebration of the day that Musa AS escaped with Bani Israel from Pharaoh. The Prophet SAS said that fasting that day would atone the sins of the previous year. Following this Sunnah is ultimately more important to us than anything else and so that's what we "celebrate", you could say. This all happened before the whole incident at Karabala which coincidentally happened on the same day of Ashura. Hope I clarified our position on this well and thank you for reading my long reply. Any inaccuracies to be found here would be from my own ignorance, and may Allah forgive me for it.

I don't believe in doing takfir of all Shias, it depends on their beliefs some beliefs either held by a sunni or a Shia make you a Kafir. These are a people who lack knowledge and think that this is a superficial problem. The problem goes much deeper than that and this is why the majority of Sunnis used to fight against them, with the Ottomans fighting them, Salahuddin fighting them for 30 years before even thinking to fight the Christians in Jerusalem. These are NOT superficial problems, their entire sect is based primarily on disparaging Sunni Islam.
At (30:31): about the Shia cursing the Prophet's [P&PBUH] companions [R]. Dr.Tariq is wrong here, if the Shi'a curse & consider the best companions of our prophet [P&PBUH] as Kafirs, then these who thinks so among the Shi'a, by default, consider all the Sunni Muslims as Kafirs as well. The problem is not whether we judge the Shi'a in this life or that they will be judged in the Hereafter. The problem in cursing the Companions and consider them Kafirs is that it automatically means that they are not trustworthy to pass the holly Qur’ān & the Prophet's Sunnah to the next generations until the Day of Judgment. Which also automatically means that we, the Sunnis (the Ummah), are not considered Muslims by the Shia. So in the end, we have no correct or incomplete Qur’ān and we, the Sunnis (The Ummah) have no correct Sunnah or Shari'a to follow!!. You see how it is a grave mistake to take this subject lightly and consider the Shi'a who had never contributed anything to spread and teach Islam in the history of Islam, as a liveable people. There is a prominent Shi'a scholar who attained the title 'Ayatullah', named (Kamal Alhaydari), who a Shi'a reformer and he used to expose the true Shi'a secrets hidden in their books, he said: "There is no Twelver Shi'a scholar who doesn't consider that all the Muslims as Kafirs". And because he exposed many of the Shi'a bad secrets (they deliberately hide to deceive the Muslim Ummah), Iran have put him under a house prison and ceased all his official papers so he will not able to travel in case he managed to escape from the house prison, and this has been also encouraged by the main Shi'a reference Ayatullahs of Iraq.
I’m a Shi’a, and listening to Dr. Al-Suwaidan made me cry, literally. Masha’allah, such wisdom and generosity. I have one or two major disagreements, but this was so refreshing and inspiring.
we need unity more than ever right now as muslims..."None of you will believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself." We are all brothers and need to unite. This podcast was a means to help brake those barriers between us.
This was one of the best podcast I have ever listened to and to be honest I was going to make a negative comment about Arabs and their part in the genocide in Palestine and how they have betrayed the Palestinians and what this Shaykh says doesn't mean anything. However, after listening to him I realised we have got some decent Arab scholars who want to unite the Ummah against the enemies
This short discussion had brought more clarity to one another by the Will of Almighty, definitely you had created inception in the mind thinking Muslims Jazak Allah Khair
Much much much needed discussion. This ummah sucks if we get divided. Look, how much we are humiliated by the Israelis. The Sheikh’s idea was my idea too. I always think why don’t we let Allah judge between us the differences in the Day of Judgment? Let live together and build the Muslim ummah where we protect each other from our common enemy, which is Israel.
There will be unity between the Arab and Iranian leadership but not in religion. Religion is lost on both sides. True religion will revive with the coming of prophet Isa and the Mahdi.
This is like saying that someone doing black face is actually black or African... this whole, don't judge thing is out of hand. We judge the actions, and if an action is bad, there's corruption in the heart... a clean heart will not have corrupt actions. Not sure why so many people keep making excuses for inexcusable behaviors... you don't insult the companions and then expect a Sunni to sit there being patient with you like a donkey without intellect or integrity. If a Sunni is fine with befriending the Shia and listening to them insulting the companions then eventually that Sunni will also start to be infected by the same thoughts. Too many people are losing their minds, and out of desperation for a victory are compromising their Iman and their ethics. Since when did it become normal to be a Muslim and on the daily commit major haram, you might be a Muslim but you might be more dangerous than the kuffar who is, ironically, respectful of the companions.
The funny thing is Shias cry and say we Sunnis should give them freedom of cursing the sahaba and wives of the prophets at the same time they kill Sunnis for simply having names like Omar and abubaker and Othman lol. They say we are terrorist for not accepting insulting the sahaba but they don’t look at themselves. In shiasm cursing or insulting any imam is a death sentence. Lol. So basically they’re saying we should get away with cursing the sahaba but Sunnis won’t even get away with calling our children Omar etc
Yeah I think the fact that there’s 2 billion Muslims paralysed in doing anything to prevent the murder of 40,000 innocent Muslims is probably why we’re looking for unity. It doesn’t get more humiliating than that I’m afraid
May Allah swt bless Dr.Tariq al suwaydaan, such a treasure trove of knowledge that this ummah has in this man. May Allah preserve him and protect him Aameen.
I cannot take seriously a person that calls Iran criminal whilst failing to call Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan< Egypt Turkey and Morocco criminal for their crimes and obedience to Israel and the west. What hypocrisy. The crimes of these nations far outweigh anything Iran may have done. Also, were it not for Iran, there would be no resistance against Israel and support for the Palestinians. The whole sunni ummah is standing by and watching. Perhaps it hurts too much to admit this since it shows the hypocrisy of thee ummah. Also saying unity is impossible is a fallacy. There can only be a united ummah or none at all. Please have guests of higher integrity.
He's already on record in previous appearances on the podcast condemning the pathetic puppet tyrants ruling Sunni majority states that have been active enablers of genocide and countless other crimes.
You have taken this too personally and let shaitan influence you to take any good from the conversation and the speakers intention for putting aside our differences and comply and come together to create a better Islam and stance as an ummah. I don’t know how you missed all of that and took only unintended prejudice from the conversation. Very sad, you’re an example of resistance for better understanding and relations between Sunni and Shia.

The best example of how to fight secterianism is the example of Imam Zayd ibn Ali, who United various groups of Muslims during the Umayyad period. He rejected divisions and condemned the Shias who were cursing the rashidun caliphs. He called for a return to consensus and an end to umayyad monarchy.

Thank you brother. Please read my response. 1. Imam Reza is the 8th Imam of the Shias and he was forced to accept the oath of Mamun to save the lives of the Shias, promote sirat of Prophet Puh and support the people in opposition to the Ma’Mun atrocities . When Ma’mun saw him as harmful to his khalifa, poisoned him. All 11 Imams were martyred or poisoned by the rulers of the time. I understand. It’s not our dear sunni brother’s fault. I told you for your information. 2. No country like Iran shouts unity among Muslims on their radio, television, press, and social networks affiliated with the government. Not insulting to Aisha, the wife of the Prophet puh and kholafa and companions is a major policy. Even In reciting the Ashura, only the Salute part is permitted in public. Shia clerics refer to Shia and Sunni hadiths in shrines. The other day Ustad Rafii ( talking in major government gatherings) mentioned Omar r.a did good deeds in Islam and return Fadak! If you don't speak Farsi, you have no right to accuse the Iran government regardless of you are in fan of the regime politically or not. You have to answer in front of God. Say Estegfar! Many times, the high clerics have pointed out that those who insult the caliphs publicly get money from the evil British. They are behind division of muslims. They are called English Shia. The Shirazis belong to the same category and are one of the staunch opponents of the Islamic Republic in this matter. This is from a religious and social perspective. Let us return to the political dimension. 3. Why did you ( lovely sunni brothers) decide to overthrow Assad, who was the most secular Arab state, among all the traitor Arab rulers? Why didn’t you mention about UAE's crimes in Sudan killing and displacing millions of people? Selling Pls Or just their recent one spying for Isr in Qaza undercover of running a hospital? How about Saudi Arabia, occupying Yemenis country for decades, recently establishing western bases in the north and south, opening Israel's feet and starving the Yemeni people? Why did you forget what Turkey and the Arabs did to Libya? The answer is clear. Shia Ali is still a big pain in your heart. We get along with you brother, but you never ever get along with us. You get along with Isr, but never with Shia. This is your problem!
I think the problem with both sides is that they listen to third parties to form their opinions about the other side. The medias. Instead of listening or talking to each other directly. The medias, as we know now, are full of propaganda. Are you from Iran? If so I want to ask something....

Dearest Sunni brothers, I am from Sunni background, and I have studied Iran and it’s is religious theocracy leadership (late Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomeini Musavi, and the current leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. And I have also studied and analyzed Syed Ali Sistani (Iraqi Shia leading scholar). These are the mainstream Shia Jafari 12ver of Shia Jafari. There is no crime against Sunnis or any Sunni or even Sunnis of Iran by the Iranian Shia religious theocratic leadership or by its supporters and shia community. It’s all a big lie and Israeli-saudi propaganda to slander and to divide Muslims. This leadership of Iran is best described by late Dr. Ahmed Deedat in his famous speech Iran a nation reborn. I believe all shia and Sunni should unite under Iranian Islamic shia leadership and make him our caliph’s. While we have our differences of views of history or fiqh (laws). if we Muslims do not wake up and unite under Iranian Islamic supreme leader Ayatollah syed ali khamenei and we are doomed and we will one by one end up like the Palestinians in Gaza. Iranian Islamic leadership is wise and sincere and that’s why Allah is giving them such high respect and honour in the ummah. There are the only hope in this dark tunnel of hopelessness. Allah wants us all to come under Iranian Islamic religious leadership. It’s a test for the Sunni world just like it was a test for the Jews to accept prophet Mohammad who was an ismaeli descendant not Israelite descendent.
I wish I can learn more about Sunnis living in Iran. We really need to unite and Shia have done an epic job in defending Gaza. They were instrumental in breaking Israel economy الحمد لله ead of
You forgot Afghanistan, who have beaten both the Soviet Union and US in wars over 40 years. They are slowly recovering from the destruction caused by these wars and deserve to lead the Ummah as well. The block of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan could be the way forward and coincidentally they are all geographically linked

Respectfully I really have benefited from and strengthened my sense of hope for our Ummah in the current times by despite all the turmoil happening within muslim world and really was excited to watch this episode especially when I glanced at the title which I have believed was one of the most important subjects that we are failing at as an ummah but with all due respect akhi. You have brought this Kuwaiti scholar for the dollar on your show to bash Iran when I thought this we be a conversation to help inbthe effort to unite Sunni & Shia back to the brotherhood that our beloved Nabi (PBUH) taught us honor. I’m Sunni myself but It is clear to me that our Shia brethren who I might add have been incomparably oppressed at the hands of Arab nationalist who use Sunni Islam as a strategic disguise. Almost all assistance and support for our forgotten family in Palestine comes from these Shias who majority of Sunni nations distrust and bash like it’s their national pastime except for the Palestinians who differ our mistrust is with our own Sunnis mainly Khalij like your guest who collaborate with the west for protection to stay in power and protect their personal wealth which rarely is used to assist our most vulnerable brothers and sisters. The Daesh Salafis who originate from The khalij only murdered fellow Muslims in fact their closest ally might possibly be the IDF. Sunni Shia Unity Inshallah =Imam Mahdi=Islamic Supremacy aka Victory inshallah t’ala
Ya sheikh jazakallah for your great insight. But I have a issue with your point on Iran, the majority of Shias curse the sahaba and Shias oppressing Sunnis. I’d like to start by saying yes radicals and fanatics exist in every group big or small. And we should use the teaching or the prophet, Quran and logic (as well as our elders sheikhs/marjas). You mentioned Iran in a very bad light and I understand to a certain degree your opinion on Iran but you never went into detail about what exactly they had done to deserve this level of hate to be called criminal etc. The Syria issue has now cleared up and I believe many Sunni brothers and sisters are realising that Syrias revolution was a western backed coupe that wanted to cut of Iran from first Hezbollah and secondly Palestinian groups. This is now more evident than ever as where are the wahabbi salafi brother who were ready to die for the sunni genocide narrative especially when there is another sunni genocide happening in Palestine. Till now you have sunni Palestinian resistance fighter defending Filistine, shias in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon helping our brother in Palestine and Iran funding and supporting them all. Unfortunately we do not see this from the Saudis(bastion of salafi wahabis and so called leader of the sunni world), Turkey(soon to be leader of the sunni world) and or Egypt who has signed many agreements with the foreigns. Regarding the shias cursing the sahabas many Shia religious leaders have asked their followers to refrain and respect the sahaba. Including Iran, Iraq and unfortunately you will have Shias in places that are oppressed till this day ie Saudi, Afghanistan, Pakistan(to a lesser degree) will continue due to oppression and education. Regarding Shias oppressing Sunnis this is unfortunately something that is sometimes made to seem very prominent and the best example to date is the Syrian conflict. Shia Assad killing its Sunni population. I will say that when it first started sure people (ie all sunni Shia Christian Syrians were angry with the Assad government) but this was quickly high jacked by US and it’s vassal states in Europe and west Asia. Many send fighters and also allowed fighters from their own territories in the west. If they tried that now for Palestine they’d be in prison before even booking their flight. They made the whole issue Shia and Sunni when in fact it was a ruthless government protecting it self like if anyone was to riot and try to over throw as western nation they would be meet with fire and steel. What are we to expect from governments. They went on the fund the white helmets to boost propanganda tell me why haven’t we seen a white helmet version in Palestine where there is a heart breaking genocide a sunni genocide by the hands of a evil devilish entity. Back to my point that in the Morden world there are too many things happening behind the scenes to prevent us from uniting. I agree that there were attacks on Sunnis in Iraq or going back further to the Fatimids etc. But this being compared to Sunni empires and states and emirates is an inaccurate comparison. Again bad in response to bad is never a good thing. But unfortunately many sunni brothers do not read our (Sunni Shia) history where they attack the Fatimids, Saffavids, Iran, Shia Iraq post saddam, Shia Assad Syria etc but ignore Shia oppression and sometimes massacres in the Umayyad, Abbasid, Ottoman, Egyptian Mamluks, Saudis, Saddam, Afghanistan 1900s and Afghanistan 2000s, Afghanistan now and Pakistan just recently in Parachenar. Ya sheikh I would still thank you for you words of wisdom and I hope you return for more of these interviews. And I hope you reconsider your opinions on certain “topics” but inshallah this debate and through increases amongst the ummah so that we can build stronger bridges and walls to protect ourselves from the evil hand of the imperials. Jzk
We need Dr Tareq Suweidan to set a framework that will allow Shia and Sunni Muslims to unite behind Islam. Leave any differences aside each side would be allowed to practice Islam with their understanding but there would be a common islamic identity and also prohibited practices such as insulting the sahaba etc. etc
I agree with the setting of a framework which would be beneficial especially as he has connections on both sides. However, he would not be responsible for it being adhered too. That comes down to the individuals who are leaders in the communities and the intentions they come to the table with.
@@sufmeister786I agree. I believe unity and reconciliation will come from communities. Knowing and accepting that the other side is not an enemy would be a start.
I am really happy with this episode. Jazaakallah khair to YOU BOTH. Interestingly, the points raised by the Guest in relation to Unity questions posed by the Host, has been some of the tenents of Sheikh Imran Hosein anytime He makes mention of an Islamic Village. He advocates that, it is time to retreat and create Islamic Village as we are in the Last Age of history. And in this village, Shariah would prevail, sectarianism would be the unwelcome guest. If someone or group of people intend to do their sectarian actions, it should never be done in the open but in their closet without any iota of desire to impose their whimps on others. By this, we hold unto the required, desired and acceptable commonalities. Being created in diversity is not in vain. May ALLAAH guide us all
And who gets to decide which actions are sectarian and must be done privately? By definition that would require sectarianism as there would need to be a baseline by which to measure the aqeeda, the Ibadah, the Shari’a etc etc of every member of such a village.

Iranian shism isnt really islam, its persian Zoroastrianism with the face of islam used for imperial means. Let me give you a recent example. The recent war between Azerbijan and Armenia. The armenians in 1991 with the support of Russia invaded Karabagh occupying it, committing genocide against 100,000 Azerbaijanis and forcing anothe 1 million to flee. When the war started again a few years ago who did Iran support? Did they support Shia Azerbaijanis against Christian Armenians/Russians? No they supported the christians in their murder and occupation of Azeribajian muslim lands. Meanwhile Turkiye is a sunni state, who did they support they suppoted Azerbaijan against the Russian, Armenian, Iranian axis. Shisim is only a problem to Islam when its Iranians behind it. Any other Shia's who are not controlled or influence by Iran are not an enemy of Islam. But any shia that follows the Iranian school of thought you can be sure is a major enemy of islam. One thing this show lacks is getting Turks onboard, all the major empires of the past 1000 years were created by them, whether it be the Ottomans, Safavids, Mughuls. You really need to get educated Turks on this show to give a real perspective of the situation at hand.
Let me also add when you break down many of the iranian shia practices in islam its basically paganism, its so far removed from islam that we might as well call it devil worship.

Presently yes Muslims are more divided among themselves as Sunni and Shia in comparison to Christians because Protestants and Catholics are no longer fighting wars with each other, while the Muslims still are.

Shia are better off now- just leave them alone.

The women against the men. Muslims against Christian’s etc. Your helping the satanists etc by being aggressive at a time when being aggressive was not needed. There’s a time and place for aggressiveness. It was not the right to for it in this situation though
Sunnis only say RA on Muawiyah, and not his son Yazid, because:

While I was in America, a violent conflict broke out among Muslims regarding Ali and Umar. Tempers flared, and old grudges resurfaced. An American asked me about Ali and Umar, wondering if they were contemporary rivals for power, like Truman and Dewey. I replied, "No, they lived 1,300 years ago, and the conflict today is about which of them was more qualified to become caliph." Arabs have sold their souls to devil and need division between Muslims.
Quran allows Muslim men to marry people of book (Christians and Jews). So if one can be husband and wife in a house, there is no question of whether (Sunni and Shia) can live together.
You cant marry shia except zaidis who don't curse aisha and do kufr
I am neither Muslim nor religious, but i love both of these men. The host is a great interviewer & I can listen to this guest talk for hours. I probably would’ve never met anyone like him if it wasn’t for this show. I’m so glad I found it. By the way, I’m from the US, but I also follow UK politics, so it’s great to get some of that from this show too. Keep up the great work & thank you💁♀️
Why we celebrate when Spain for example recognises Palestine while sending arms to Israel but we whole heartdily criticise Muslim countries? Why we celebrate if the US doesn't do one wrong but when Iran for example does something good we see only the bad?
A very compelling topic. Can't wait to watch it inshaa Allah
More or Dr Al Suwaidan please.
I just discovered his existence en week ago in this podcast.
A thinking and full of action for the future of Umah Masha Alaah
If there were NO bad sahabas then who was the Sura Munafiqoon revealed for???
The Shias who approve of cursing SOME sahabas is untenable if there is to be a genuine rapproachment between two sects of Islam. However the Sunni position of imposing a cloak of 'infallibility' on ALL the sahabas is equally untenable and if they were ALL beyond criticism then what was Caliph Abu Bakr's reason for the 'Rida' wars of apostasy wherein he killed many previous Sahabis? And what about the civil wars in the time of Othman where sahabis were drawing swords against each other or the wars caused by Muawiya ibn Sufyan to strengthen his grip on power which resulted in the killing of many Sahabis.
The Sunnis must also move away from this position of not questioning the integrity of individual sahabis - they must be judged on their actions and not be clothed in a cloak of 'infallibility' when they clearly are NOT!
So let's get along by cursing and besting our faces?
Truth is you think Ahlybayth had separate theology of bad mouthing and cowardly hiding behind their wives. Sunnis will never believe in this corruption. Just won't happen. Even if we randomly assume a sahabi was wrong
@@noumanqureshi8489 Let’s get along by sincerely seeking the truth as to who were the righteous sahaba based on their actions and who were the hypocritical or evildoers among the sahaba based on their actions. Then we can agree on at least some of the sahaba based on such a criterion for evaluating their character by their actions. Secondly please kindly read and understand the Hadith of Thaqalayn (the two treasures) in order to understand the high status of the Prophet’s close family, his Ahlulbayt - it is also mentioned in a non Muslim source (Wikipedia)…
As a diciple of Isa, a quaker, I apreciate your attitute and teaching and feel enriched. Thank you. This of God in everyone of us.
Can't we just all get along, common man this beef happened a looooong time ago , man i cant even hold a grudge for a day thats what Islam taught me , some drive Mercedes-Benz, some drive toyota but our final destination we strive for is the same, im a Sunni and i want to hug a Shia today and move forward
@@Ioane-vn6ti you are not sunni, because shia is the biggest enemy of the last prophet, they want to substitute the name of ALLAH with illusion mahdi in mekkah, evil guy you dont distract righteous people
The Constitution of Madinah by the Prophet SAW, is a masterpiece that solves the issue of co operating and forming a defence pact with eachother.
This entire talk is about putting our differences aside, and the conversations in the comment section are exactly opposite.
The Shi'ites literally hate us and want us dead deep down, you want me to unite with someone who actively curses, disparages, and insults the noble companions of the Messenger? Who says that Allah isn't above the throne (denying countless attributes), who goes ahead and has a literal difference of opinion that the Qur'an is corrupted? The sect that bombs Idlib (which is full of sunni civilians) whenever Israil bombs them? The sect that kills Sunnis in Pakistan and plays victim when Sunnis fight back? The sect that claimed that Aisha was a fornicator? The sect that praises the killer of Umar (Abu Lulu, may god Curse him).
The people who support this unification are ignorant and deluded.
Btw, I’m using someone else’s account. My name is Jehanzeb.
Shiites curse the wives of the Prophet Mohammed pbuh
we need unity more than ever right now as muslims..."None of you will believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself." We are all brothers and need to unite.
This is a must watch for all thinking Muslims
@@HanaHana-ft9li lol your view of reality is so upside down you should be an IDF spokesperson.

Dearest Sunni brothers,
I am from Sunni background, and I have studied Iran and it’s is religious theocracy leadership (late Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomeini Musavi, and the current leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Swaidan not Suleiman
I agree with the setting of a framework which would be beneficial especially as he has connections on both sides. However, he would not be responsible for it being adhered too. That comes down to the individuals who are leaders in the communities and the intentions they come to the table with.
@@spidyman8853 I know, you are right. It was autocorrect and I didn't see it.
May ALLAAH guide us all
Ameen 🤲🏼🤲🏼🤲🏼
And who gets to decide which actions are sectarian and must be done privately? By definition that would require sectarianism as there would need to be a baseline by which to measure the aqeeda, the Ibadah, the Shari’a etc etc of every member of such a village.

@@billyjesus5442so true. I have seen so many Shias esp Iranian and Iraqi Shias they deeply love anything alien to Islam and get annoyed if you quote the Quran or any Hadith lol. It’s really astonishing
@@davisoneilliran is the gift for zionists that keeps giving. The genocide is ongoing because iran is the excuse zionists use.
Iran desires the same thing zionists desire... To rule over ME.

@@davisoneill Historically Turks kept palestine free for much of the past 1000 years. Thank to iranian instigations Palestine has basically been erased from earth. Just like their "theatre" attacks on isreal that kills no one. The single biggest killer of Muslims today are Iranians. Facts. Iran is playing tricks with palestine, using her but ultimatily leading her off a cliff. Interestingly enough it was the Turks who stopped the shias from annilating the sunni Muslims, thanks to the Seljuk Turks. These Muslims are fooling themselves with the farsi boys, they are more isreali in the region then isreal. But unlike Isreal they cannot hide behind Islam.
I Heard this Sheikh 1st time. He is remarkable. I appreciate his intellect. We need multiple sheikhs like him. ❤
Sounding like Sh. al-Qardhawi before he retracted all his pro-cooperation statements about 'Hizb us-shaytan', as he went onto call them, when they fought for Assad against Syrians
Muslims never learn 🙄
Shut up and work
So true.
I loved today’s episode thanks
You talk of crimes of Iran but not that of Saudi Arabia. What kind of hypocrisy is this? This Imam is being bias.
I agree 100% with him. Let all sect in muslim world be mushrik in their belief system but all muslim must respect each other as human being. After all serving humanity is every human's basic duty.
Interesting, would like to hear more from the brother ia
@@OmarAliYT. I am not brother with the enemy of GOD, shia is the biggest enemy of ALLAH. and dont believe in quran and last prophet
Excellent thoughts and ideas but condemning one side by name is not helping the idea. If we want to live side by side we must be frank and transparent. Calling out the sunni leaders who have betrayed the ummah is inevitable to be able to live side by side.
I agree with most commentators that you should have more discussions on this matter and have a shia perspective on the show.
This is the only academic scholar that i know that does not curse sunni or shia, the language he uses makes sense.
I swear by Allah this is only second video of him i watch and i already have big respect about him.
It may sound strange, but Yasir Qadhi in the USA also has a similar approach. He prefers not to insult and looks for practical approaches to unifying
The best video I watched today, barak Allah feekom
A discussion on unity can only be had with someone who is neutral. Its blatant how he condemns and denounce one side not another. A lot of points are not accurate. Not the right person for such a discussion.
Well pointed out.
His pro zionist mindset is evident.
Dr Tareq thankyou for your wise words, may Allah open all our hearts to guidance of Islam.
Are Sunni and Shia more divided than Protestants and Catholics?
Presently yes Muslims are more divided among themselves as Sunni and Shia in comparison to Christians because Protestants and Catholics are no longer fighting wars with each other, while the Muslims still are.
What has been happening in Syria and Iraq over past 20yrs is essentially shia vs sunni sectarianism, fuelled by iran mostly. Shias however enjoyed Russian, Iran backing in Syria and American backing in Iraq
Pretty much
Yes they are v divided
@@stevesmith4901 I was referring more to theological division as opposed to geopolitical. Christians are always talking about the One Church for all Christians, (which will never happen) will there ever be One Ummah? It seems religion only divides and never unites.
I am just a god fearing women, struggling to stay on the straight path sometimes!
When non Muslims ask me which group I belong to !
I said I am just a Muslim !
We need to listen to the last sermon of prophet Mohammed swt every day if we claim ourselves Muslim!
He firmly stated in his sermon there should not be any division within ummah.
We need to bring the end to this division among us as Muslims by right teaching not by force of war
!
Lately since Oct 7
I just feel ashamed to be the part of this division, Sunni and Shia and others !
All Muslims countries in Arabic peninsula could not save that small strip of Gaza because we are divided!
Allah swt is not happy with our ummah because of this division.
All of these atrocities happening in all Muslim around the world because of our division within ummah.
In a small Muslim country Bangladesh god fearing people were oppressed and convicted for last 15 years by their own Muslim government!
Did any other Muslim country protest or protect them!
No they didn’t but we boastfully call us Muslim ummah and claim superiority over others as Sunni or Shia or other sects!
Do we truly fear Allah swt and last day of judgement !
@@SadiaAfaz Salaams and thank you dear sister in faith for your heartfelt comment Certainly we all need, as you have said, “right teaching”. The best (human) teacher we ever had (and still have through his teachings that he left for our guidance) was our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him and his close family, his Ahlulbayt). He also left us a “parting gift” of The Hadith of Thaqalayn which advised us that, in order to avoid going astray after his passing, we (his Ummah) need to hold fast (follow, understand and obey) The Holy Quran and his Ahlulbayt….
This Sahih Hadith is also mentioned in a non Muslim resource (Wikipedia)…
