I stumbled accross this while searching for videos by a Black Sabbath parody McDonald's based band called Mac Sabbath. I saw Brown Sabbath and thought maybe it was a Black Sabbath tribute band with a black singer. I was completely blown away by what it actually is. This has got to be the best cover of Fairies Wear Boots I've ever heard.
I remember when this came out, I'm 70 in 2 months and all I can say is absofrigginlutely bodacious!! Kudos to the man who did the arrangement. Drummer looks to be having too much fun and the pipes on the singer are unreal.

Jr, Ozzie is a white guy that sounds like this black guy with the yellow jacket on and was lead singer of Black Sabbath till 1980 and off and on after that. Blizzard of Oz was Ozzie's first album after leaving sabbath and kicked some ass in 81 and now you hear it at every football game, it's called, I'm going off of the rails on a crazy train, with a little guy named Randy Rhoades playing the lead guitar.
Check out the Morphine songs Free Love, A Good Woman Is Hard To Find and Good Time Last Night (Morphines Mark Sandman in his earlier works). Dana Colley's sax is as heavy as Tony Iommi's SG.
This band sound exactly how I expected Jazz Sabbath would. Unlike Jazz Sabbath, these guys understand and appreciate the underlying Jazz roots of the original music. EXCELLENT!
So now it's gone full circle. The original "Polka Tulk/Earth" incarnations were jazz-blues bands, and now their material as "Black Sabbath" is being re-interpreted as rockin' swing jazz. Nice!

It's not a reference...Fairies wear boots was released way before For whom the Bell tolls... So it's actually Metallica inspired by Sabbath to compose the intro solo on that song and which resembles "boots" quite a bit.

Awesome version of one of my favorite songs ever. I used to listen to the Paranoid album on repeat back in 1988 when I first started playing drums. It was on 8 track believe it or not. It was the only copy my older brother had. Bill Ward is one of the most influential rock drummers ever in my opinion. These guy did it justice, respect.

This is a really fantastic arrangement. Black Sabbath always had a bit of "swing" thanks to Bill Ward, so their music adapts well to this style.

As a huge Black Sabbath fan from around the age of about 8 years old, I'm 54 now, I cannot believe I haven't seen these guys or heard their music. I had heard the name but just figured they were some gimmick cover band.
Holy Crap, was I wrong. These guys were killing it. The drummer, with a snare and a floor tom and kick sounded as good as Geezer Butler. The whole band and singer were awesome. Instant new fan.
Edit - I have to correct myself , I meant Bill Ward, not Geezer Butler on drums. It was a mistake.
