    I stumbled accross this while searching for videos by a Black Sabbath parody McDonald's based band called Mac Sabbath. I saw Brown Sabbath and thought maybe it was a Black Sabbath tribute band with a black singer. I was completely blown away by what it actually is. This has got to be the best cover of Fairies Wear Boots I've ever heard.

    I remember when this came out, I'm 70 in 2 months and all I can say is absofrigginlutely bodacious!! Kudos to the man who did the arrangement. Drummer looks to be having too much fun and the pipes on the singer are unreal.

    Saw Black Sabbath when I was 15 back in '77. Still pull out the old classic stuff at 62. This is a hoot. I say that with respect! Quite good in a very unique version !

    This is a really fantastic arrangement. Black Sabbath always had a bit of "swing" thanks to Bill Ward, so their music adapts well to this style.

      Ozzie was into car horns or worked with them at a factory and he said it was his first excursion into heavy metal.

Jr, Ozzie is a white guy that sounds like this black guy with the yellow jacket on and was lead singer of Black Sabbath till 1980 and off and on after that. Blizzard of Oz was Ozzie's first album after leaving sabbath and kicked some ass in 81 and now you hear it at every football game, it's called, I'm going off of the rails on a crazy train, with a little guy named Randy Rhoades playing the lead guitar.

      Check out the Morphine songs Free Love, A Good Woman Is Hard To Find and Good Time Last Night (Morphines Mark Sandman in his earlier works). Dana Colley's sax is as heavy as Tony Iommi's SG.

    This band sound exactly how I expected Jazz Sabbath would.
    Unlike Jazz Sabbath, these guys understand and appreciate the underlying Jazz roots of the original music.

    So now it's gone full circle. The original "Polka Tulk/Earth" incarnations were jazz-blues bands, and now their material as "Black Sabbath" is being re-interpreted as rockin' swing jazz. Nice!

    Wow.....fell down the UA-cam rabbit hole and stumbled across these dudes!! At first, I didn't know what to really think about them. The more I listened, the more I liked them. I'm always on the search for new music any ways. Always searching for new metal bands, and "something different"!! Well, I definitely found something different.

    Ho.......Lee........Shit........this is incredible !!! It's like Black Sabbath meets Oingo Boingo meets the Mighty Mighty Bosstones ....but even better than that !!! Great big honkin' kudos to these guys for the arrangement and even more kudos for REMEMBERING the arrangement ! This could not have been easy to play. Drummer kicks major ass ( and I should know ) and really holds the thing together. It would have been easy for this thing to go off the rails but that never happens. Cheers gentlemen...and more please.

    I've been following *_Brownout_* (and their alter-ego _Brown Sabbath_) for quite some time now. AMAZING music. I'll bet you've never heard Black Sabbath's "Fairies Wear Boots" quite like this. _BRILLIANT is an understatement._

      It's not a reference...Fairies wear boots was released way before For whom the Bell tolls... So it's actually Metallica inspired by Sabbath to compose the intro solo on that song and which resembles "boots" quite a bit.

    Usually cover versions or cover bands downfall is the singer. But not in this case. The singer was excellent. Not to mention the guitar player. Heck the whole band rocked. Great job!

      sorry, i found seven albums (and numbers of singles/EPs) by Austin, Texas 9-piece outfit Brownout, formed by members of Grupo Fantasma*.
      Brown Sabbath is the name of two albums by the band.
      * Grupo Fantasma is an Austin, Texas Latin/Funk band made up of members of The Blue Noise Band, The Golden Arm Trio and Sun Vocina.

    I am amazed. Every time I hear these guys. Each and every time. I hate EVERYBODY'S shitty Sabbath covers...but not these. Pure magnificence, VERY respectful of the originals...just grand!

    Awesome version of one of my favorite songs ever. I used to listen to the Paranoid album on repeat back in 1988 when I first started playing drums. It was on 8 track believe it or not. It was the only copy my older brother had.
    Bill Ward is one of the most influential rock drummers ever in my opinion. These guy did it justice, respect.

    How did I come so late to this party?
    As a huge Black Sabbath fan from around the age of about 8 years old, I'm 54 now, I cannot believe I haven't seen these guys or heard their music. I had heard the name but just figured they were some gimmick cover band.
    Holy Crap, was I wrong. These guys were killing it. The drummer, with a snare and a floor tom and kick sounded as good as Geezer Butler. The whole band and singer were awesome. Instant new fan.
    Edit - I have to correct myself , I meant Bill Ward, not Geezer Butler on drums. It was a mistake.
    You kids that is what old age, drugs, booze, fighting, and contact sports do to your brain. Hahahahahaha
