Best part about this channel is that you restore actually old product that were damaged by time, instead of "restoring" items that were purposefully damaged or burried somewhere just to make views like other restoration youtubers do.
@@harryshuman9637 I literally restore things as a hobby and I can tell you that almost all of the people who are restoring something that is actually old don’t have enough money nor lack of respect to fake rust, also it’s really easy to tell if it is real or not, just look at pitting.
wow! At the start I was like "man, this was sold at a famous store?" but once you were through it looks like it belongs in a famous high end store! Bravo!
I have a new model of one of those carpet cleaners! The technology has not changed at all other than the box is made of pressed aluminum! And I love it - does a great job!
The brush is in surprisingly good condition. Given its age, I assume the bristles are organic rather than synthetic. Either this sweeper wasn’t heavily used or those bristles are made of tough stuff. Delighted to see how well the restored sweeper works! Another superb restoration - thank you!
great restoration, especially on the wood part of the sweeper. keeping the patina on the wood instead of sanding was a good touch. it's nice to see you upload more often lately.
Thanks for posting! Your choice to abstain from sanding the wood gave the piece a lot of character! Love the vibe of this video feels like classic OTND w/added bonus of seeing the different tools/hardware in action as well as a continued mastery of various techniques. Keep it up!🎉
I love it! My great grandmother had one of these. We would help with the housework and use this to clean her carpets. It was great fun for a 6 year old!
Well done again! Its interesting how each project has their own demands - no heavy metallurgic job this time, basically just renewing the old wood. Whatever you restore, i,ll be here to Like it! Merci!
My toddler loves falling asleep to these videos, always asking to watch fixing before we go to bed. Thanks for becoming an essential and relaxing part of our bedtime routine! 😊
Another absolutely wonderful restoration! This is one of my very favorite channels. The use of TPU wheels is clever given no alternatives. I truly admire your label recreations. And I always appreciate the practical demo at the end of each restoration. Magnifique, monsieur. :-)
Bon marche as far as she can tell. She drinks the zombie from the coco shell. She feels all right, she get it on tonight. Mr driver, take me where the music play
Not seen one of those in about 30 years, used a very old one of these, I think c.1918,but also used more modern 1980s versions which were equally ineffective 😂 The older one seemed to contain a number of gears which would suddenly lock up on you without warning, a few pushes and you ended up with the handle in your stomach 😂
i've been watching this channel for a while now, but this is my first time commenting, because seeing the effort to add the label back in reminded me what exactly keeps amazing me with every upload from this channel! bravo!
Brilliant job Mr. OTND 👍👍👍!!! Great work. Very sympathetic yet thorough to keep the aged appearance whilst restoring the working capacity 👏👏👏. Loved watching it. Thanks man 🙏. 😎
Nice video. If you take a few hours to learn a vector drawing software, your cutouts and decals will be even cleaner. It's faster than using a brush too, after you get the hang of it.
I’m surprised how little the design has changed. I have a sweeper like this that I bought new a few years ago, and the only difference is the new one is made mostly of plastic instead of wood and metal, otherwise the design is the same.
That's probably more effective than most carpet sweepers these days. That thing is over 100 years old and is still working like it was yesterday.
To be fair, it was just restored, it would be a problem if it WEREN'T working like it was yesterday
i love the idea of the new technology of 3d printing being used to help restore something beautiful and old! the past and the future team up for good!
Old carpet sweeper on a new carpet? No man, you need an old carpet to restore, and then combine it together for a full satisfaction 😂.
Should do a collaboration piece with Mountain Rug Cleaning. :D
😂😂
...and then test it with old newspaper snippets
😂👏

Fake restorations are rarer than you might think.
@@Ezra-qi3dt They are not. You are just bad at telling them apart.

@@Ezra-qi3dt Restoring old 100 year old things is fine, but most channels make restorations of 10-20 year old items that they make look like aged.
@@harryshuman9637 yeah, there are plenty of channels that do that, I’m just saying that they make up less than half of all restoration channels.

Sand blasting and powder coating, probably two of my most favourite things to watch! Amazing job all round.
When he does the filler -> sanding -> primer -> wet sanding -> powder coat routine the result is pure eyegasm.
I don’t care if it’s 1am where I live, OTND uploaded a new video and I need to watch!
I have a new model of one of those carpet cleaners! The technology has not changed at all other than the box is made of pressed aluminum! And I love it - does a great job!
Best thing about them is they make very little noise and don't need a cord or other setup steps. Just grab it and roll around.
The brush is in surprisingly good condition. Given its age, I assume the bristles are organic rather than synthetic. Either this sweeper wasn’t heavily used or those bristles are made of tough stuff. Delighted to see how well the restored sweeper works! Another superb restoration - thank you!
Sound is always key in these types of videos, and yours is excellent - clear, no distractions, just ASMR all the way.
great restoration, especially on the wood part of the sweeper. keeping the patina on the wood instead of sanding was a good touch. it's nice to see you upload more often lately.
Very nicely done. Glad to see a carpet sweeper come back to life with the name restored.
Fantastic work! I love when you make things not just look nice, but work well afterward!
Thank you ! 😉

I remember hotels used to use these instead of vacuum cleaners because they made less noise.

Sandblast and cold blue everything!
The ancestor of the vacuum cleaner and visibly rather effective after this nice restoration 🤩👍
This is a beautiful restoration, down to the tiny nails for the top! I love these projects. Thanks for showcasing your artistry.
the paintwork goes beyond my mind. insanely good work
When you pealed the letter stencil off....👨🍳👌 Chef's Kiss. Awesome job.

I almost had a panic attack when you returned all the paper to the carpet :D
Nice restoration!
Travail toujours superbe !!!! Merci l’artiste !!!!!
You are truly talented. You are an artist, a professional craftsman, an engineer and more. It's a complete delight to watch your content.😊
Works better than I expected
I wouldn't be able to touch any of this stuff without fear, man!! That's so risky!
Another great restoration and top notch video as always. I did not expect it to work as good as it did at the end.
Brilliantly done! I love this one 👌
What a gorgeous restoration! And the simple but oh so effective engineering behind this tool is awesome to see back in action
Great restoration, I’m actually really surprised how good it is at sweeping up that mess too!
I was suprised too " oh it's works really ! " 😅
Bon marche as far as she can tell. She drinks the zombie from the coco shell. She feels all right, she get it on tonight. Mr driver, take me where the music play
Those were a very popular design of sweeper. there are modern versions of them made now. Nothing beats a good old wooden cabinet, though.
I’m surprised by how well it cleaned the carpet, excellent restoration.
Very nice restoration! To top it off, the sweeper works better than a lot of modern ones. That is a nice show piece.
أحسنت..

Love this ❤ Brings me back to memories of my grandmother.
Gorgeous finished piece, and impressive that it still works so well!
Nice restoration, still working good even over a hundred years later 😀👍👍

Yes I was surprised it works so well, thank you ! 👍
The end result it's surprisingly useful.
Great work as usual 👌.
Whoa, that works WAY better than I expected it to!
Потрясающе, здорово🎉❤
The wood on that looked really good for a 100-year-old item.
This worked way better than I expected it to at the end
Gran trabajo Artesano!!!. Saludos desde Uruguay.
It looks excellent and you did a masterful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
