@@chunutube We just took it on a 1100 mile round trip from NY to NC and back. Over bumps, it is a bit on the louder side, (not NEARLY as bad as the 2020 CR-V Touring, we traded in, which sounded abysmal over anything but smooth pavement. Even then, the road noise was intrusive) but the wind noise isn't at all bad and there is absolutely no whistling.. I would say it is on par with my '17 Yukon Denali, but not as quiet as my F-150 Platinum...which is by far, the quietest vehicle we own.

I have a 2020 CX-9 GT with pearl white and I have loved it from day one. It has loads of features that were not covered here you have to dig in to find. I am 6"2 and honestly had no issue getting comfortable in the third row which is why I was not sure why they always make it seem so tiny. Fun to drive and while there are some good looking SUV's out there I personally feel as though nothing can touch Mazda's styling it's just so damn sleek looking.

I bought a 2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited a few months ago and I am in LOVE. I don't haul kids, but I do haul my adult friends on nearly a weekly basis and all of my friends fit comfortably in all three rows. My friends love the heated and cooled second row captains chairs and the reclining third row that not only has vents, but USB ports, too. Only thing missing from the third row is lighting.
The Mazda may be the sportiest driver, but falls shorts in every other respect and that's why I couldn't even consider it when I was looking for my next three row crossover. I looked at the Atlas when it was new, and I've not heard anything good from anyone I know who owns or has owned one.

The CX9 is out of its element here. It competes with the Explorer, Durango, Sorento, Pilot and Highlander. Really the only other crossover to compete with the Atlas and Palisade (excluding the telluride twin) is the Traverse. I have an atlas 2.l turbo and well it’s the best and by far the best fuel economy suv that I drove. Granted I can’t tow much but let’s be serious if you are going to tow you usually get a pick-up, SUV are made to transport passengers so the more space and leg room they have the better, the palissade is nice but I think the atlas just looks better and you can customize it to look even more amazing ! The blackout edition are really nice

I love my Hyundai Palisade. I want to second everything they have said about the Palisade. I have the SEL model and every day I found something new on the vehicle as i still do as of today. I've had my Palisade since 11/2019 and I LOVE IT even from the very first day I've saw it online 3/2019. They did not hit the market until 8/2019 as they were to drop 6/2019. This vehicle is worth every penny you spend on it. I must say the interior takes you by surprise and I have not found and other 2020 models of any other vehicle like this one. NOT EVEN THE 2020 CADILLAC, but the 2021 Cadillac Sport is killing it and will kill you with the MSRP price. Just get the Palisade and it will change your life. From the base SE model to the Calligraphy. They also hold there value as well.

This was an excellent unbiased review. While videos like this are helpful, I'd suggest that perspective buyers should read the the user forums for the SUVs they are considering. User forums typically give the owners' actual experiences. Some of these are multi-year ownership experiences that address long term reliability. In this particular video I came away with the impression that interior size was the most important criteria. I suppose if that's the case, buyers might consider a minivan. For me, I put a premium on driving dynamics and long-term reliability over a little more interior space.

I totally agree with you. Also, lots of testers put acceleration like if it was of importance when when you buy an SUV, you don't buy it to race... Reliability and quality finishes are very important. And again, not all buyers are as tall as some testers are. I like it when testers say their height so we, the viewers, can see the space of the SUV in context with the size of the tester.

Great job fellas, just found your channel. I purchased a brand new 2021 Hyundai Palisade SE for 34,000 USD. While it lacks many of the features of the Calligraphy, it has the same space, and same engine, same excellent ride quality, seating position etc. I feel like a nice Santa Fe creeps up to or surpasses the price I paid to enter the Palisade world….and my poor mans Palisade world is a much nicer place than the Santa Fe world.

Congrats on your choice (always buy what you like best!), but I'm confused by some details. Starting price for Atlas is around $1K less than Palisade's, but feature-wise it's basic by comparison. Adding options, Atlas balloons to several thousand more than a similar Palisade. Also warranty: VW is 4 years/50K miles on both bumper to bumper & powertrain. Hyundai is 5y/60K & 10y/100K powertrain. Are you talking about 2019 Atlas MY (pre-Palisade introduction)? VW did have a 6-year warranty, but they scrapped it for 2020+. **Btw, not bringing up the Mazda only because it was quickly stricken from our list and we didn't seriously shop it (no pano-roof, the don't-touchscreen display, easily could tell not as roomy as Palisade or Atlas).

I love the look and the interior, drives really well and good amount of tech, plus my girlfriend and I aren’t really close to being 6’ tall so space shouldn’t be an issue. Great vid, just went back for another view. Palisade probably wins at MSRP, but 10 months after you made this, good luck with finding that. At this tier, pretty much all the options are significantly over MSRP. $60K Highlanders, Tellurides marked up 24%, Palisades that you have to order sight unseen with unknown delivery dates. Tried downsizing and the Sante Fe Calligraphy was the same as the MSRP for the Palisade Calligraphy. I know it is long in the tooth, but plopped a deposit down on a CX 9 Signature that arrives this week and was able to get it for 3% under MSRP. For folks like us that couldn't wait, and people like me that refuse to pay these mark ups, this might be a good option.
