That's right! This is the original version from the movie! He played this song at this concert long b4 it was on any album and long b4 vanilla sky came out! At the end paramount desided to put this version into the movie and not the final version from the album! And that was the best desicion ever, if u ask me! I realy like the movie and love this song! Even after all this years i get goose bumps every time i hear this original version! And sorry for my bad english, but i hope u understand what i mean! ;-)

There's something in the wailing guitars that no other version captures. My mom said it sounds like people crying. Thank you uploader.

The thing is this version which is used in the film has had the most editing done in order for it to work in the film i.e removing the crowd and pitch.. the director must of used the direct PA recordings to do this..so after all that work it still never made it on the soundtrack..it beggars belief.

9 years later I will answer you this (although you probably already know lol), but it is because the studio version wasn't even out yet. Sigur Rós played many of the Untitled songs live before the album was released. I think Cameron Crowe probably heard this bootleg and liked the song so much that he used it, even though there was no real studio version. However, I think this version is the best version of the song anyway.

Yeah the film came out in 2001 a year before the album so they used a live recording taken from the Roskile festival in denmark in the summer of 2000
