I'm Ella. I'm a 24 y/o creative mind from Cambridge, UK (no, I did not go to the Uni, I'm not smart enough. Cri.)
Why 'Wiildblooms'?
My middle name is a bloom - Rose. 'The wild blooms' sounds like a snazzy phrase, and it's true. Plus, this is all about travel and lifestyle with the occasional quality (terrible) joke here and there (I try).
The two ii - they look like two little people, and I'm all about telling stories about humans.

Hi I am a retired TV producer whose credits include the travel writer Bill Bryson...You are good dam good. Very well done.
Hi, is that the same Bill Bryson that Durham university’s library is named after?
@@fruitycolax Yes. Bill Bryson was the Chancellor of Durham University from 2005 to 2011.
Amazing! I just found this video and was surprised to recognise myself as the biker at the 7:37 mark 😂.
Amazing video, had a lot od fun watching it🎉❤
Informative, entertaining and entertaining (did I say entertaining?)!
Extremely creatively filmed and edited! And I really appreciate the time and effort spent getting it all together to form one of the best travel videos I have seen!
Kudos!!!
When I 1st saw this I got very depressed. I thought how can I possibly compete with a VLOG of this quality. Then I realised you are a professional and I felt a little better. Very enjoyable. I will look out for more of you content.
Great video, really entertaining, thank you.
As a small motorcycle UA-cam channel who loves Scotland, I have to say you've done a fantastic job of this vid. I'm in awe of your editing skills.
Just about to go in 10 days, love love love your campervan!!! This vid is worthy of being on TV well done!!!
I see you got lucky in Skye. Sometimes the weather can be terrible.
Okay. I went to your website, and now I see why your vids are so great. Kudos to you on the awards.
Good filming ladies. We have enjoyed the things you showed us. Good times thanks for the memories x
I'm from Italy and I hope I can do this trip once this mess with coronavirus is over. It was great to watch this vid and I'm sure it'll be helpful in the future. Cheers!
Hopefully see you on the road.
Great vid and funny, 'ffs'😆😆😆. Very watchable 👍
I am planning to do NC500 late Sep and have seen tons of NC500 videos and I must say I ABSOLUTELY love this video. You are an amazing storyteller and editing was great. Good work.
Brilliant, just what I needed for my forthcoming trip. Thank you
That was excellent, and way fun to watch! I visited Scotland September of 2019, but didn’t have time for this trip. It is on my list for next time.
PS... the banana scene was great. 💜🏴
beautiful
you deserve so many more subscribers!! Cant wait for my trip :)
Nicely Done Video. Sorry the weather was so Scottish! Jealous of your overnight campsite spots. Well done. 👏🏼
Get the ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway, the ferry journey from the outside deck is brilliant, then tour Isle of Lewis before heading down to Harris. Google the beaches of Harris, especially Luskentyre and Seliebost beaches, plus many many others on Lewis/Harris. Trust me, I was blown away by them. Caribbean with Scottish weather. Even in rubbish weather they are stunning. In good weather, it's just paradise
Some great recommends. Thank you!
Just got a t4 camper and stumbled upon your vlogs. Being from Scotland and doing many of the places you’ve been to was hilarious listening to how you pronounced some places🤣.
Skye is always busy and I hope you e been back since as it’s a lovely place.
Very informative and entertaining. We're doing the NC500 in June in our T5 camper. :-) Subscribed.
Very Impressive to watch you. May God Bless you with Joyful Long Life. Cheers
That was bloody wicked. Love your commentary and your video production. I am a landscape photographer and I feel I need to do the NC500 as a Photography challenge. So thanks for this. I will watch more so cool. I will take a.look at the places you stopped.
So many beautiful places in Scotland.
Really enjoyed this video and your other one on the NC500. Top stuff
love the enthusiasm and info well played 👍🏻👌🏻💪🏻
good video thanks the NC500 is on my to do list
Wow your video was aw awesome and so funny your lucky to have such a good friend stay safe 🌈
Really enjoyed both of your NC500 videos, I'm hoping to do it later in the year (if we're allowed out again by then!) I'll be cycling it and wildcamping alot, but many of your tips will be useful. Thanks!
Watching this insane 🤩 video from Calcutta makes me feel so so nostalgic about Scotland.
Great video, really enjoyed it. Well done 👍
very good stuff ladies, perfect tour guide
Super epic video :D very entertaining very informative an really superbly put together.
"one of the most beautiful road trips in the UK"...Please tell me another one in the UK that even comes close?
This was such a great video!
Great video, off to Scotland next month. Has given us lots of ideas 😊
Definitely one of the best NC500 films.
Shame you missed out the Kyle of Durness and the rock and roll bus to the
lighthouse at Cape Wrath.
All the advice was appreciated
Lovely. Thanks a lot. 👍.
Made me LOL! Enjoyed. TY
Cracking video well done!!
I absolutely love your videos! Your hilarious, you should keep up video making because they're so enjoyable to watch 👍
Well done, good video and edit :)
Hope to do this next year (2021) great work in the filming with all the info you need. 2021 I'll be 64 and my birthday is May 29 so a bit older in body than you girls ,but I have your "young at heart" spirit. Thanks for the upload .
Great vid again we just got back from Skye . We where going to do the NC but part of the rout is closed off at the moment cos of weather and the road being GONE . So we going to wait till March . Also going to do it anti clockwise as well .
The montage was my fave LOL
We went here and it rained, we went here but it was closed, we went here and nothing was here, we went here and was full of tourists 😂🤣 still want to go tho thanks for the video, very helpful 🙌
Great vlog 👍 Was due to go to Croatia late September but due to the latest Quarantine rules we now cannot go, so have decided to replace that holiday with this amazing route 😍 Hopefully 8 days will be enough 🤞🏻
This is so helpful
Enjoyed watching, but you’ve actually put me off going.
The five hundred has single track roads. Large motor homes and small passing places don’t work. Motor home hirers are increasing all the time and buying bigger motor homes. Living on a single track has become a nightmare. Legislation is needed desperately. Help!!!!
Great vlogs well done 👍🏻
Fabulous vlogs ladies 👌🏻
New subscriber and I have to say your editing is amazing!
fab video - just a note, the coins in the tree, not just a Scottish thing, the idea is of your not feeling well you you hammer a penny with your illness into the tree, And it is trapped there. if anyone pulls it out they will cat h the illness. they are dotted around Britain, I think there is a fairly famous one in Wales.
Lovely video.
The coins in the trees are for may things. Luck, putting an ilness or bad memory/experience onto the coin (or sometimes ribbon) and leaving it behind you but the one I prefer is paying the spirit of the forrest for crossing it's land. Happy spirits = happy times.
Happy birthday, Emma. Right? I mean, today's 27 May 2020, so I'm guessing it's her birthday once again. :D
Great vids. Great ideas, we are off in 3 week :-)
Hi I'm a nobody, but the video was informative entertaining and professionally done better than the BBC and you can tell you both enjoyed it immensely well done
Amazing 👏👏👏
Awesome trip. Did it in 2015. Didn't do Sky but did do Orkney. Took me two full days with an overnight in Kendal from Bordon in Hampshire to Inverness. whole trip round plus the one day i had in Orkney was ten days. Didn't wanna do a two-day trip back so did the trip home from Inverness to Bordon in a oner!! Not a clever idea as by the time i got home i was tone deff from the diesel engine running all day and my strength was completely zapped. Would i do the trip again? Yes but someone else can drive next time!!
Planning to cycle it
Great story! I've done NC500 twice and about to do it for a 3rd time in 2 weeks. Whalligoe Steps will be new to me now, but what I really want to know is how you got down under the Kylesku bridge?? I can't remember a road/path down there without risking a broken neck 😂
Great video I’m definitely doing the nc this year and I’m naming my daughter Skye .) I’ll maybe hire a camper
Did you stay at any aires or privately owned sites? Sometimes we like to just stop at dark then leave first thing w/o using facilities.
TY ✌
I see corona had already arrived in scotland in May 2019
?

Pretty nice video! A little tooo fast, but maybe this is better than our 30 episode series. We should go there tho summer in June.
Done at 'clubbing' pace..
Can you do a similar montage of the Cotswolds and South Wales
What do you use to edit your videos? They’re so good
Are there any breweries and distilleries to visit?
see minute 5, where is that?
So at Smoo cave....you didn't visit the John Lennon memorial garden?
Not a single mention of Assynt, 😂. Dull
Where did you do the zip wire looks great fun? 5:01
That’s what I was womdering
Hi Great video, quick question. Would this roadtrip also be possible with a small caravan ( like a 2 person teardrop caravan) you think ? Thnx for your time and info.
Is there a lot of wc around
I am doing it in December!!!!! If the virus let me.
Thank you for the great information. I am an almost retired Canadian nurse coming Aug 2021. I have rented a camper van and would like to trace your steps...is wild camping safe? Most places in the video look deserted.
I used to work in a prison so I don't get frightened easy but I was just curious. Thanks again for the fun video.
Bit late but for anyone else reading, you cannot wild camp in a campervan as the SOAC excludes motorised activity.
What would you suggest is the best guide book/website to use for the route for planning and along the way?
4:11 i DONT recommend anyone doing this .....if you get the tide times wrong (like me and my brother did and we had a dog) you can get trapped and washed away and those waves are pretty fierce i can tell you .
although i didnt do it in this exact location (it was in Penzance Cornwall) its was really scary.
Was there many parking charges along the wat and you dont happen to have a route map you could share do you ? Great vid btw

It has planning info, maps, etc. We used this for our trip around the NC500 in mid-May of 2019. It was an excellent trip and exceptionally good weather.
Heyy, I'm looking at using this itinerary for an upcoming trip and the adrenaline of the near death cave adventure seems too exciting to ignore. How far to the right was the cave from the beach part?
I don't think Skye is quite as 'small' as you opine, but it's certainly Very tourist-busy, especially crowded in the Season. Personally, I'm hoping for far fewer Chinese here this year..
Ah..racist much..prefer Germans and Swedes do u...
Rab Lewin less chance of corona virus as don’t think bats heads are a delicacy in Germany...could be wrong though
In a few hours, you can drive pretty much 'all' roads, how is that big?
@@Baerchenization Even to drive without stopping, all around the shoreline would take about 5+ hours, add minor roads across some scenic areas, another 3-4. An all-day trip even without stopping. Climb a peak or two of that range of 3,000+ foot mountains - days more, even on trails. Or is your 'holiday' only for car-bound geriatrics...
@@iainsanders4775 I drove the Curves Scotland book tour (includes Skye). It basically goes once around and a bit of criss-cross over the island; I started some day in October at dawn and was on my way to Applecross before noon. My holidays are not for geriatrics, they are hardcore driving holidays. I deny people to come along with me on the basis that they are not tough enough. I did England - Austrian/Italian/Slovenian/French/Swiss Alps - England in 6 days... geriatrics would die on day one ;) Oh, and I did "all of Scotland" in 3 days, no problem for me :)
When will she do a face reveal?
Hey i really enjoyed the video, im subbed now! do you have a map for the NC500 same as yours so i can follow it please
Is that girl a deliveroo driver
Skye was a bit more advanced than you thought 😂 were you expecting outside toilets, no running water and people using horses to plough the fields🤣🤣
I've been to Skye. I took the comments as Skye being too touristy; they prefer more out of the way towns. Honestly, I fear that the popularity of the NC500 will turn many "out of the way" towns into tourist towns, just like the popular 'road to Hana' on Maui.
I live on Skye and that pretty much sums up what life here is like
Skye is not on the nc500 ; give it a miss and give us unfortunate enough to have to live here a wee rest from the mayhem ! It’s like living in a theme park ☹️
Ditto from Wester Ross, I feel your pain.
How have I got 7 weeks itinerary for this haha
5:12 *Hold on a minute Freeze Frame - you are drinking **_Corona Virus_** infected beer, hope you have recovered and are both well and able to stand up. Hang on you are still 'swigging it' at **6:20** so not kicked in yet I presume*
I know why you didn't stop in Wick
Kindly stop promoting this route. It is a disaster for the Highlands in so many respects.
epic cieślak moment
