Oh, and additionally, thank you so much for knowing what the changes are before you started recording! haha. I'm so tired of watching youtubers who are supposed to be "experts" learn about changes as they read the descriptions and struggle through it.
Thank you so much for just giving us a summary of the important changes! All the other youtubers just read every talent off the screen as if I couldn't do that myself.
I’m not sure yet but im very much leaning to play monk in war within, Ive had alot of fun trying it out in some keys. Can’t wait to see more as we get closer, thanks for the guides
Man this has made me look forward to dusting off my Monk in the next expansion, im hoping that the brewmaster tree gets the love it needs, and the unbloating its desperate for.
The thing about losing expel harm wasnt about the heal. It was about having a ability to weave in for your mastery so you arent just standing there waiting for your energy to regen. But maybe with the haste changes it probably wont matter that much.
Hasn't felt like an issue in testing. Also, Combat Wisdom was rebalanced to make your standard out-of-combat Chi be 2, rather than 0, so it's a good QoL change on top of everything else.
You need a button to control this. Make it Chi Burst. This kind of uncontrollable passive damage is just bad. Might as well just make 1 talent increase your dps by a flat percent and forget about it
Yeah, it's kind of disappointing. Tying the Flurry Strike proc into spending Energy just doesn't work thematically. They can tune the numbers up to make it good if they have to, but the feel is off. It's too passive and inconsistent. Every 40-ish seconds you randomly get a gigantic damage proc tacked onto a Tiger Palm? Come on. If it was tied into an important rotational skill like KS/BlK/FoF or SOMETHING other than just spending a huge amount of Energy, it would at least feel more like something you have control over.
Maaaan... don't get me wrong, the new talents system is cool, and the hero talents look very fun and all, but damn this will become a clusterfuck in 2 or 3 expansions. 0o Maybe give players even more customization with their talents and do away with increasing the level cap? Just make some cool sets for dungeons, open world, raids, and pvp... let people mix whatever bonus they give... sounds way too much like ESO though lol
Oh, shado-pan sucks thematically. Alright, I’m Shado-pan, but what can I learn from my forebears, if they was blood elves, or taurens, or human etc? Yeah, I know that monk is “ that pandaren class”, but really this is very embarrassing. I love pandarens, but I’m not playing one. Very-very bad for RP.
Thanks for the video, it was really interesting to get your opinion instead of usual "read spells" videos. It gave a real insight of the class !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your input is always well rounded.
I wish there was coverage like this of the rogue
Thank you!

You're so welcome!

Fingers crossed for some BrM changes, but the class and WW changes look great so far!

It's looking really good!
I reaaaaally hope they get to that tank pass soon.
Big same over here
I liked all my buttons and got use to it
Great

still i would like to see using our weapons a bit...they just sit on us for looks, it would be cool if we could use them more.
They need to bring back MoP Jab.
So the serenity cd is gone? I always hated storm earth and fire..
Yeah, unfortunately it's SEF from here on out.
Ordered Elements = SL WoO
That's it!
feeling like my shammy main gonna be 2nd place
Nice!

So become another game? :)
@WoWatNight yeah, probably not the greatest solution for talents in the long run 😅
Current trees are fixed, hero trees are eh
Some hero trees are pretty great.

that's not what this video (and this channel in general) is about
Yeah we're not RPers ☺
I believe one way you could look at this is that it’s the forebears of the monks in general and not specifically those related to you.
