I bought this to replace a very similar item whose foam grips had worn after years of use. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxwyoGHi-cCLV1AqJYj7QeIWKSpdRMYPF1 This one is is even slightly better than the old one I had! (Sorry I don't remember the brand or model.) This bar sits a bit higher in the doorway, giving me more ground clearance for movement, and the foam grips and foam pads that protect the doorway are thicker. It was also very quick and easy to assemble. The only minor gripe I have is that the hand grips in the middle are really tight on the bar, and therefore hard to slide along the bar if you want a wider or narrower grip. You have to be patient and gradually work them into the position you want.
Love this! Between your last video and my grips I rarely tear painfully any more (blood blisters, though, that's another story!) My worst tear was after a high volume T2B wod, I practiced T2B for a while and helped a few people with theirs. Had two calloused shear right off and it burned like crazy!
Great video. I had just recently ripped my left hand while doing TTBs and I’ll definitely come back to this video when I get some grips so that I don’t rip again 🤙🏾🤙🏾⚡️
Best advice I got from one of my coaches is using O'Keeffe's Working Hands creme. Super to keep hands moist when not training and soften up that thick skin. And then shaving hands all the time...
A cheap remedy for removing callous from the hand is to buy a cheap pumice stone and use it when washing your hands or in the shower. Most times you can find a hand stone at the supermarket for around $3.
What would you recommend for rope climbs? I don’t think there’s any movement that has destroyed my hands as much as that shit. I also ripped the skin of my ankle from wrapping the rope around it when climbing
I ripped both my poor teacher's hands pretty badly today... I went on Amazon to get some Elemnt 26 grips... Hope it can help prevent from ripping all the time... AirRunner here I come tomorrow! 😂
I watched your first hand care video 2 years ago, and I haven't ripped since. I keep telling people in my gym to watch it, but they just keep ripping instead.
Ethos sales a pair at Dicks Sporting Goods that dosent go all the way on your fingers, just fits on the upper part of fingers, works the same as not putting your fingers in
I ask guys at the gym and they say “ Just takes time and a lot of ripping” yet they still rip. I have the big calluses they talk about needing yet I still rip. So is the goal to actually prevent the calluses ?
This is the first advice I've ever taken from Ben that turned out poorly for me. I did everything recommended in the first hand care video and it was great. Same for lots of your movement videos! But the recommendation for the element 26 grips here just ended up wasting a lot of money for me. I'm not finding that they lock into the bar at all, much worse than my previous Wod Nation grips that I unfortunately lost, and without that benefit, there's no pro to balance out the major con of how thick they are. Alas, can't win them all!
Could I suggest not shaving any extra dead skin? Anywhere in the body? Cause it's as bad as getting ripped in the first place, what happens is that the body doesn't tell the difference between both and instead produce more skin to protect itself as a defense mechanism, try using a product cream with Urea and/or azelaic acid and 3times a week retinol on the affected area instead of getting sucked into an infinity loop where you shave the dead skin and it keeps pulling up again

Where are the Element 26 grips you're wearing?
I just ripped for the first time! This is so helpful since most of my goals this year are gymnastics centered! Thank you!

That first video you did was a game changer for me. I’m going to try the tips in this one too. Thanks for posting!
I'm tearing in the middle of my palm. Do you have any tips on that?
i think this is the best crossfit video ive seen

You don't want to remove calluses from your hand. You want to reduce them so they don't rip off, but you don't want to remove them.
I loooooove Sandbar! I keep the large one and a travel on in my gym bag!
I got a bar for my son and after a few swings he came to me asking what it was. I gasped and I had totally forgotten about this part

Does anyone have the link for the element 26 grip he was talking about in the beginning?

WOW so much informations I learned today. Thank you Coach Ben 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
whats the composition of the rip repair? need to find a similar in Brazil :/
I guess K-tape would also work for thumbs?

Totally useful. Thank you

Big callouses tend to be the cause of ripping. Try to keep them filed down.
After the glove in the shower tip…now I’m not even afraid to rip! The shower is the absolute worst part, it’s like being stabbed in the hand!!
Ben always making it so simple! How does he know literally everything?
haha thanks
Can you explain the correct way of cross-fit movements in your videos?
The audio is a little soft...
Just ripped my palms from toes yo bar…thanks for the tips
Thanks for the information!!!! 💪😉

Super glue doesn't burn. Maybe, maybe for 0.5 seconds

Too bad they were sold out, had to buy it somewhere else 😢😢😢
This video is near silent
Just shave your callouses off with old-timey razor blades and wear grips. That‘s it. No callouses no rips.
Did I really hear you say gorilla glue??
Chest to bar is SO CRINGY to watch 😵💫😵💫🫠
