@@YooperHatesOhioState Only because you guys insisted that the NCAA drop the boom on some players who traded their merch for tattoos (which is totally legal now, btw). OSU had to vacate an entire season of wins, took a bowl ban in a season when it went 12-0 and would otherwise have been #1 or #2 in the country, and fired its coach over these "impermissible benefits" that gave it no advantage on the field. Now that UM got caught doing something illegal, the same people who castigated OSU are calling the NCAA inept, and THEN they still point fingers at OSU for several conspiracy-type allegations that have already been debunked. I can live with the sign stealing stuff (it's not a great look, but I would neither expect nor demand any major sanctions to come of it), but the fact that there's ZERO accountability in Ann Arbor and a lot of whataboutism....that part is a bit bothersome.
Harbaugh has two choices: A lifetime contract for 12mil or so a year. Can spend rest of his life as the Son of Ann Arbor. Him and his family are royalty on campus/in town. OR - go to NFL and fired after three years cuz your QB got hurt, losing record and owner wants some new “it” offensive genius coordinator on the market. NFL=NotForLong For me, it’s an easy decision
as long as they hired the oc as head coach michigan fans i believe would be more than happy to see jim go to next level. its only if he takes his whole staff where things will get weird legacy wise if the pros dont go as planned
All day long hearing about Harbough going to the NFL from the media. College is so much more electric than the NFL. He’s also able to mentor young people and be a legend to thousands of players at one of the top programs in the country. I completely fail to see the appeal of leaving it for the NFL. I’d rather be Nick Saban than any pro coach ever minus maybe Bill Bellichick.
Agree 100%. Harbaugh basically has a lifetime contract for 12mil or so a year. Can spend rest of his life as the Son of Ann Arbor. Him and his family are royalty on campus/in town. OR - go to NFL and fired after three years cuz your QB got hurt, losing record and owner wants some new “it” offensive genius coordinator on the market. NFL=NotForLong For me, it’s an easy decision.
You fail to see it? Well, not having to constantly lie to kids about promises you made them or deal with transfer portal/NIL. NFL is the better league overall
Are they forgetting that December is finals time for these KIDS! I’m all for the changes in college sports yes pay the athletes that we are profiting from but to say we are leaving money on the table and could benefit from scheduling better why don’t we slow down and think why that may be. Not all of these kids are league bound why don’t we give them a chance to take advantage of there free education fellas. Love the show thanks
From DeflateGate to the two NCAA violations this year I'm so unimpressed with how both the NFL and NCAA deal with "scandals". The media hypes the controversy and the executives have no backbone - they are simply politicians and just want to appear "tough", regardless of justice or truth. It's only about the money and their jobs. Harbaugh is a lover of football, as was Brady. Celebrate those guys and don't put them through the gauntlet unnecessarily.
Are you seriously suggesting that someone who you declare to be "a lover of football" shouldn't be held to the same rules, standards, and potential punishment as every other player or coach?
It's definitely a distinct possibility. JJ needs another year, & JH loves Michigan, they're offering 125 mil over 10 years. I think we all know he's super family oriented. He still has younger children at home, his aging parents live next door, & he's the King of Ann Arbor. Why would he uproot the entire family to chase an NFL job when he could be fired in 3 years because his QB got hurt? Even though he's got to deal with the stupid NCAA, I believe the positives outweigh the negatives. Stay & build a Dynasty! GO BLUE!!!!
Love it I all ways believe in his coaching old school mix with new school. He always keep a deep team big lineman offence and defense . Physical running backs mix speed running backs.Good special teams. Great defense backs physical make big time interception interceptions. He the same thing in San Francisco😂 Both Brothers are great coaches, linebackers awesome cover good and very physical. Ron Ron Va.
Jim Harbaugh may come off as a little quirky, but we love him at Michigan. I’m praying that he and JJ stay for another year about standing Michigan football.
As a Michigan fan and alum, I am happy he is our coach and hope he remains. But honestly, he's not my cup of tea fromca personal standpoint and it more that his being quirky. I started at UM when he was a senior and knew too many of his teammates who could not stand him because he just wasn't nice to them. I think his football obsessed family is weird, I don't like that he never gives any reporters a straight answer because of his arrogance and, most of all, I don't like that he brings his religion into his job. He is employed by a public institution, not Notre Dame, BC, Baylor, or Liberty. Have your faith on your own time, but keep that stuff out of the job. But, l can live with all this because he is a top flight coach who seems to be loved by his players, he is good for college football and I appreciate his advocacy for athletes in terms of revenue sharing and I imagine he supports efforts to create healthcare resources for former players who suffer from maladies as a result of their time playing football.
Didn’t know you’re friends with Harbaugh… rebuilding a NFL franchise in one’s 60’s isn’t conducive… like an 80 year old holding the most difficult job on the planet.

He can scramble, make plays if he has to, has a gigantic arm, accurate no matter where he throws, very athletic, a heck of a team player and knows how to manage the game if he has to. I agree. You missed the most important thing that you can't measure or put on a stat sheet. JJ is just a winner, through and through. He honestly reminds me of Tom Brady, in terms of just flat out wanting to win. He doesn't need to be pampered by lighting up a stat sheet, but he does what the he needs to to do to win the game for his team.
@@RKLIFE17 not sure how much of him you've watched. Throwing the ball is easily the best thing about him and he's accurate. Dude threw the ball across his body and it went 50yards on the dime to the receiver. "Great" is truly the word to use to describe JJ throwing the ball.

So glad someone is talking about the ineptitude of NCAA.
Facts bro I’m sick of it
@@pleaseshutup7053 same bro, if feel like it’s a thing that’s kind of glossed over.
@@theboii7692 They are biting at the bit for an opportunity to wield their power.
Funny how osu fans get mad when we bring this up
@@YooperHatesOhioState Only because you guys insisted that the NCAA drop the boom on some players who traded their merch for tattoos (which is totally legal now, btw).
Joe Klatt be speaking that real
“let’s pour some sauce here it’s a little wild at the family ranch” -Colin Cowherd, in his obligatory family analogy every clip
Bad year for Harbaugh and Lamar haters. 😂
Lamar is legit.
Harbaughs a cheater.
Please come to the chargers harbaugh we need you
I'd love to see Joel covering the draft and combine with Colin
God I’m gonna miss this so much!! See ya in August!
Joel and Colin were two of the ONLY sports personalities that believed in Jim even through the worst parts.
Harbaugh has two choices:
A lifetime contract for 12mil or so a year. Can spend rest of his life as the Son of Ann Arbor. Him and his family are royalty on campus/in town.
OR - go to NFL and fired after three years cuz your QB got hurt, losing record and owner wants some new “it” offensive genius coordinator on the market.
NFL=NotForLong
For me, it’s an easy decision
breaking, google it "NCAA president says Michigan earned football national title 'fair and square'"
as long as they hired the oc as head coach michigan fans i believe would be more than happy to see jim go to next level. its only if he takes his whole staff where things will get weird legacy wise if the pros dont go as planned
No do not hire sherrone Moore.
They make a solid point about college being a pain to navigate
NFL=NotForLong
For me, it’s an easy decision.
Exactly! Well said.
You fail to see it? Well, not having to constantly lie to kids about promises you made them or deal with transfer portal/NIL. NFL is the better league overall
He didnt trust his players enough to win without cheating. I wouldnt want that freak anywhere near my kid.
Go Blue!!!
Stop making excuses for grown adults. Harbaugh made a conscious decision to cheat.
Klatt is the best...are we really not gonna see him on Cowherd until next college football season? 😞
Great interview gents, great season. Already can’t wait for the fall
Just glad the SEC didn’t win, College Football is so much better when it’s not regional.
Joe Klatt be on point 💯💯💯
UNPOPULAR OPINION: JJ and Jim Harbaugh both return to win back to back National Championships. GO BLUE〽️🏆
Let the hating commence. 😅
We can dream.
That'd be nice but let's be honest....what Georgia did is extremely rare. Wasn't it Florida prior to that?
@@zacharymarkham5232bama and Clemson
@@bash8257 I'm referring to back 2 back
It's definitely a distinct possibility.
Sorry mess up typing
Great year guys. Loved watching you two. GoBlue!!
I love Klatts take on our allegations. He knows more than these espn slappies
Joel Klatt is always good. always
Wolverines #1🔥
Great show guys!!
I absolutely love these 2 together!
My two favorite guys
I’m loving how he’s automatically going to the NFL.
@ttravis10 he’s 60 years old. I am sure he wants to win a Super Bowl. I think he’s leaving if tbe spot is right.
Didn’t know you’re friends with Harbaugh… rebuilding a NFL franchise in one’s 60’s isn’t conducive… like an 80 year old holding the most difficult job on the planet.
@@ReadingsbyDom get real i said if the place is right and ready to win now. The only place is the chargers who underachieved this year.
Right! Everyone has assumed he's leaving which has not been communicated by him yet
Imagine him wining a super bowl with DA Bears
Would never happen without a change in ownership.
Please no
@@patrickcannady2066 this comment right here makes too much sense
McCaskeys are clowns and only hire "Yes" men. Harbaugh left SF because of the idiotic owner.
Can you steal signs in the NFL?
Fascinating that Colin cries out (correctly) that too many fans/owners want instant turnaround even after building/rebuilding a franchise in disarray, yet wants instant success in Chicago, Indianapolis, Carolina, etc. Amusing to realize it takes time..
Good duo talking CFB
Probably the best take I've ever heard on the ineptitude of the NCAA at the end there.
THE Michigan Wolverines have THE best fight song AND helmet logo in the country hands down 🫳🎤
#2 helmet graphic is Delaware
#3 is Princeton 😉

JJ gonna be a GREAT QB! He can do it all. He can scramble, make plays if he has to, has a gigantic arm, accurate no matter where he throws, very athletic, a heck of a team player and knows how to manage the game if he has to. You can mold him perfectly to your system and he'll do it to a T. A coaches dream. Whoever gets McCarthy is going to be blessed! I hope it's my rams! I'm buying that jersey immediately! McCarthy and McVay could be a Brady and Bill.
Not a great thrower of the football. Might get better.
@@joevukovich2626 I absolutely agree. He's been that way since Michigan recruited him. He said when signing that they would win a chip, and they did.
The guy can definitely sling the rock. If there's any fair criticism to me, it would be related to his size. I'd be a bit worried about his longevity with the likes of a Miles Garrett, Donaldson or Watt bearing down on him.
Joel Klatt by far is the best guest on this show and also the best announcer/voice for College Football 🫡
Love Klatt
If Klatt knew that “spygate” having any impact on results was totally ridiculous, he should have said this two months ago instead of waiting until it became totally obvious and safe to say
He did say it 2 months ago, multiple times, and he did it on this show.
@@pokewackI never saw this, and I remember being disappointed in the guy for not saying it. Can you provide the show or date he said this?
My favorite Herd segment.
Great stuff!!
See ya next year klatt! Expanded playoff should be hectic lol
Hail yes! And total props to Penix, played hurt, heart of a lion!
Colin should bring klatt on the volume and do a podcast with him weekly.
We do know that Harbaugh is staying. I don't know why they keep bringing it up, just for clicks I guess. Harbaugh met with the Michigan Board of Regents before heading out to the Rose Bowl and everyone who was at the meeting said he's coming back.
The Michigan defense did to Penix what the Ravens D. Did to Tua, Purdy, Goff and others because the Michigan D. Was designed by Mike McDonald from the Ravens. That’s my opinion.
Yeah I have basic cable and stream. Couldn't even watch the game cause it was on ESPN. Klatt makes a good point. Want it to be popular, play it where people can watch like the NFL.
JJ can and would do much more if they needed him to, period!
