    I had a co-worker explain Penix's struggles against Michigan in a way that actually kinda made sense to me. He said Michigan's defense was the closest thing Penix had ever seen to a pro-level NFL defense, and he played a lot like an NFL rookie QB.

    • @samuelgainey8336
      @samuelgainey8336 Рік тому +23

      Michigan's D line was ridiculous. Penix was frantic all night. Just imagine if Michigan had an 22:29 Aiden/Ojabo duo on the edge this year to go along with those creatures in the interior. Mason Graham, Jenkins, Grant, and Goode were relentless. Penix got all he could handle.

    • @roshango125ab

      It reminded me of Super Bowl 50. Carolina's offense lit up the scoreboard at will all season long and went into the game 17-1 because of it. But when they played that Denver defense, they looked uncomfortable for the first and only time all season. They hadn't faced a defense that fast and that physical all year and were completely unprepared for it. They were not used to playing a game where they couldn't move the ball at will. And that was Washington last night. Caught off guard

      I LOVED IT!!! Congratulations to The Michigan Blue, The Wolverines!!!
      I am so happy, so happy this Big Ten Michigan team won, in effect also dropping a huge load of stool on ESPN and the NCAA and their arrogant and ignorant biases.
      THIS would happen more (northern teams winning) and more if every major bowl was held in absolute NEUTRAL regions or zones. The Big Ten, and other northern states teams, would win more bowls if the NCAA weren't so 'traditional' (bias and arrogant) having southern teams nearly always playing in state or a neighboring state. It would likely take a couple of years to get use to the proper change, but win more bowls northern state teams would do. This is still college sports, and until the players leave college, they are students and need to be taught about Fairness, Justice and Equality: bowls NEED to be played in obviously Neutral grounds. Due to the NCAA's "tradition," we have mostly southern states winning the major bowls. Most people disagree, but their comments are typically brainless. Any of you who agree, YOU have the ability to Tweet, Facebook, Instagram, Etc., at the NCAA, and if you are college students you can access more to contact your school's dean, coach, and president and insist to of them to reach out to the NCAA and demand change for a better balance in the way bowls are held.

Meanwhile other schools are openly tampering in the portal contacting kids who aren't in it and making them cash offers, and the NCAA doesn't pay attention cause Jim didn't remember what he had for lunch 3 years ago. I don't recall what I had for lunch 3 weeks ago and I have had far less concussions than Jim. @@YooperHatesOhioState Only because you guys insisted that the NCAA drop the boom on some players who traded their merch for tattoos (which is totally legal now, btw). OSU had to vacate an entire season of wins, took a bowl ban in a season when it went 12-0 and would otherwise have been #1 or #2 in the country, and fired its coach over these "impermissible benefits" that gave it no advantage on the field.
      Now that UM got caught doing something illegal, the same people who castigated OSU are calling the NCAA inept, and THEN they still point fingers at OSU for several conspiracy-type allegations that have already been debunked. I can live with the sign stealing stuff (it's not a great look, but I would neither expect nor demand any major sanctions to come of it), but the fact that there's ZERO accountability in Ann Arbor and a lot of whataboutism....that part is a bit bothersome.

      As a Michigan fan and alum, I am happy he is our coach and hope he remains. But honestly, he's not my cup of tea fromca personal standpoint and it more that his being quirky. I started at UM when he was a senior and knew too many of his teammates who could not stand him because he just wasn't nice to them.
      I think his football obsessed family is weird, I don't like that he never gives any reporters a straight answer because of his arrogance and, most of all, I don't like that he brings his religion into his job. He is employed by a public institution, not Notre Dame, BC, Baylor, or Liberty. Have your faith on your own time, but keep that stuff out of the job.
      But, l can live with all this because he is a top flight coach who seems to be loved by his players, he is good for college football and I appreciate his advocacy for athletes in terms of revenue sharing and I imagine he supports efforts to create healthcare resources for former players who suffer from maladies as a result of their time playing football.
