I get what you mean, but games like this can still be played without too many mistakes, although it's usually only in single player. I don't think this is one I could beat on a single credit, even with tons of practice. As far as a game like this is concerned with 2 players, I still wish it could have been a little better, but I don't have tons of time to practice these games with friends. Wow… don’t remember the voice acting sounding this bad in the PS2 version lmao I recently played a physical cabinet in Tokyo’s GiGO Akihabara Building 3 (in the top floor with all the old school games). It was such a nostalgia trip, especially since I haven’t seen a Ninja Assault cabinet for ages. Mostly been playing the PS2 version since the local arcades in my area closed down.
I remember spending a lot of money just to finish this game, after so many plays i eventually reached the end due to me memorizing the patterns of where the enemies will pop-up and also the number of hits it takes for the enemy to go down, this game is one the most difficult and fun rail shooters i have ever played. Also one thing I learned about this game is that when there are two players in this game, the number of hits if takes for the enemies to go down doubles, which is a pain in the hand and wallet. (I ended up dual wielding the game until I finished it though..)

I never went near the arcade again. I eventually gave it another shot at an arcade but it was still brutal as hell... plus I ended up pouring all my coins into House of the Dead 4 instead. It's funny... I can get through Time Crises with 1-2 lives, but games with no cover system will end up destroying me.

Ya know, this feels like something a ninja would make. Because: A: Ninja's only pretend to be in society so they can get the info they want, so it makes sense the dialoug and VC were kinda bad. B: They were always about firearms. C: Of course the samurai were the bad guys.
I actually do find lightgun games easier to play with a mouse than a lightgun. Also, the aiming isn't as good with the AimTrak as something like the Sinden lightgun.
@@KatRollo I think I did that, but the thing is, the AimTrak is just a bit flawed. Like with a Wii remote, it uses the IR bar, but it's just not precise enough that you would want to try without a crosshair for aiming.
@@arronmunroe Was there any special plug ins needed to get your light guns to work with DeMul? I ordered those Sinden Light Guns and am hoping to get them to work with DeMul but don’t have them just yet.
@@Resvrgam I believe you would need to use the program DemulShooter to get this working on Demul. I mysteriously couldn't get DemulShooter working on this emulator last time I tried it, but I may have been using the wrong version, or doing something else wrong. I did use that program when I made this video, though. I think you could also use your lightgun with Retroarch, and you may actually find that to be easier to set up than using Demul.
Most of these ninjas forget the important lesson here: Unless you're Ryu Hayabusa, *_Never bring a sword to a gun fight_*

It was with the emulator Demul. I don't think it is likely I could ever record from a real arcade cabinet.
This needs to be on Switch. Motion controls make easier aiming.
