Man. When I was in 3rd grade in elementary school, I remember back in 2005, one of my neighbors invited my family to have a throwback party and he was nice enough to have one. And he had brought Vampire Night and told me it's like the House of the Dead, this was my first time hearing this game and it blew my mind. The story, the gameplay and everything was great. I just wanted to say thank you for my neighbor for buying this game back in my elementary school days. Thank you Daniel.

This gives me flashbacks to childhood vaccations in france and spain. That scene in the room at 9:26 has burned into my memory. I didnt play that one though, just stood next to the older kids/teens playing it.
I just finished watching Ninja Assault. I miss all these old arcade light gun games. WOW Entertainment made this game which is the same developer that made the House of the Dead. Strange that Namco published this game when WOW was an internal studio of Sega
This game was more of a collaborative project between two studios, as you can see the production value of this game are much higher than even Namco's own Time Crisis 2 or 3. If there was a AAA budget light gun this game was one of the few.
This game was so damn addicting to play on the PS2. I loved the special mode, doing the missions was such a unique feature that I have never seen before in a light gun game. I wish Time Crisis had additional modes and unlockables like this game did.

Does anyone feel about the similarity of the bosses in the RE8 'Village' to this game? I feel that the five bosses here are very similar starting from the knights - Heisenberg [7:03], bats - Lady Dimitrescu [15:03], puppeteer - Beneviento [23:23], merman / mermaids - Moreau [29:55], to 4-winged vampires - Mother Miranda [35:46].

That can only be done through cheats. I believe your windows cursor can be set to match the game position, although perhaps you just like the way the in game cursor looks more. I used a cursor because it was the only way for the second player to be able to use a second mouse and see the cursor position, although 1p had been ok for me. gametitle=Vampire Night //cursor patch=1,EE,2020CE84,extended,00000000 patch=1,EE,2020CEC0,extended,00000000 This is the cheat to make the cursor show up. If you don't know how to use cheats on PCSX2, you need to copy this into a text file, call it 7FBCDA34.pnach and save it in the cheats folder, and then enable cheats in the emulator.
I think the Vampires dies after battle if it's during the day time they fought and got beaten. That's why dark mind didn't die as a vampire and turned human perhap because it was nightime.
No, but there isn't that much to it. A widescreen code was used, and the internal resolution was set to something like 6x in the emulator's graphics settings.

This was played on PCSX2 with the nuvee plugin, which lets you use a mouse for aiming. That said, this is one game that always seems to stutter once in a while for me, unlike other games I've played on PCSX2. I would still say the game is playable, though.
arronmunroe how did you set up the mouse, may I ask? Because as far as I know, PS2 light gun games tend to be flashy and foggy when shooting, when you are using the lightgun (but not the controller).
arronmunroe What code is it, may I ask? What software did you use? As far as I know, the only way to play lightgun games with a mouse is with the Nuvee plugin, which emulates the mouse as the Guncon, hence the flashing. But certainly you are not using that, from what I see.
I’ve never even seen this game in the arcades back when I was a kid or teenager. I only heard it because it ended up on the UA-cam lists of worst voice acting in video games. If Vampire Nights wasn’t stuck on the PS2, then I would have spent all of my coins beating this game.
This game was a mixture of House of the Dead and Castlevania. 4 Things. 1) 27:44... that is a beautiful waterfall scenery. Never seen a waterfall like inside a castle. 2) That female vampire in the white gown, I so wanted to bone her... then fight her. 3) Was it just me or did that little girl become annoying after a while? I suppose she did serve some type of purpose to reminded our heroes of the goodness that still existed around them. 4) SPOILER ALERT: Can't believe our heroes turned out to be vampires themselves. Still a good ending though.

I would do it, but it's not currently playable on PC. Because the game uses 2 different screens, it might be longer for multiplayer to be supported even when I can play it on PC, and that could also make it even more difficult to record too.

@@TheAccountant1000 Actually, an emulator is just a program that you can use to run certain systems on your PC. I would suggest checking a PCSX2 tutorial video if you want to see how it works. I wouldn't say it's too hard to set up, but it would be a little more complicated if you haven't used an emulator before. I would also add that there is a little more to setting up this game in particular, because it originally used a lightgun. Note that in this video, a mouse was used for aiming.

These were the death days of Sega as a console and cabinet maker. They were basically at the mercy of Namco at this time.

arronmunroe how did you set up the mouse, may I ask? Because as far as I know, PS2 light gun games tend to be flashy and foggy when shooting, when you are using the lightgun (but not the controller).
I used a code that removes the gun flash.
arronmunroe What code is it, may I ask? What software did you use? As far as I know, the only way to play lightgun games with a mouse is with the Nuvee plugin, which emulates the mouse as the Guncon, hence the flashing.
But certainly you are not using that, from what I see.
You can just put 00000000 at this address 201EC680. Nuvee is what I used, but the flashing is from the game, not the plugin.
I’ve never even seen this game in the arcades back when I was a kid or teenager. I only heard it because it ended up on the UA-cam lists of worst voice acting in video games. If Vampire Nights wasn’t stuck on the PS2, then I would have spent all of my coins beating this game.
I was able to play this on Arcade back in my hometown.

This game was a mixture of House of the Dead and Castlevania.
4 Things.
1) 27:44... that is a beautiful waterfall scenery. Never seen a waterfall like inside a castle.
2) That female vampire in the white gown, I so wanted to bone her... then fight her.
3) Was it just me or did that little girl become annoying after a while? I suppose she did serve some type of purpose to reminded our heroes of the goodness that still existed around them.
4) SPOILER ALERT: Can't believe our heroes turned out to be vampires themselves. Still a good ending though.
The heroes are actually creations of the Vampire who have been given human warmth by Caroline the survivor.

I remember this having more plot to it... still a good game and the game play held up really well.

I would do it, but it's not currently playable on PC. Because the game uses 2 different screens, it might be longer for multiplayer to be supported even when I can play it on PC, and that could also make it even more difficult to record too.

Some programs on PC work with a second mouse, and this is one of them.

Even as a kid, I've always thought this would have made for a great anime. The dialogue needs some help, though.
2:30-2:50 - Virtua cop/ the house of the dead 1&2 civilian mechanic: “ok don’t shoot civilians or you lose one life!”
Vampire Night civilian mechanic: “save these civilians from these hideous looking parasites by shooting their weak spot! Miss the weak spot? No problem! Just compensate the civilian-turned-vampire with more lead!”
But you'll also run into another problem: You only get a life bonus for saving ALL civilians. Miss one and you'll miss the bonus.

This was played on an emulator, so it's played at a higher resolution than the real thing. This game was always 60fps, even on a real PS2.

@@TheAccountant1000 Actually, an emulator is just a program that you can use to run certain systems on your PC. I would suggest checking a PCSX2 tutorial video if you want to see how it works. I wouldn't say it's too hard to set up, but it would be a little more complicated if you haven't used an emulator before. I would also add that there is a little more to setting up this game in particular, because it originally used a lightgun. Note that in this video, a mouse was used for aiming.
