I remember the first time I met Ali. I was 5 or 6. And I was waiting at the bus stop with my grandmother on Bardstown rd. And here comes this man jogging down the street and stopped to talk to my grandma. Apparently he knew my grandfather or something like that. I was in awe of this happy joyful man. He asked my name. I told him Dawn. He told me my name meant light of day. Then he told me to always be the light. I will always remember him as kind and loving to ALL people. He didn't care if you were black, white, Catholic, Muslim or Jewish. He cared because you were human and that was how he was period.

Billy Crystal did an incredible job paying tribute to one of greatest athletes, if not "the greatest" of our time - well done Billy...well done! RIP Muhammad Ali!
“35 years after he stopped fighting, he is still the champion of the world” Sums up Ali in that one sentence. When you hear the word “Greatest” no one else comes to mind but Ali.
Michael Jordan. Wayne Gretzky. The SPORT was the important thing, not themselves. Whatever they thought privately, in public they were gentlemen and truly humble.
The greatest athlete in the world! He continues to touch our hearts. Handsome, poetic, let us know how he would NOT fight against people that never ever lifted a finger against him. He taught us a lesson. Turn the other cheek, but always state your opinion with love & kindness Muhammad Ali, you will always be in our hearts.

Little brother reminding all of us that Ali was a simple man who,s beliefs brought awareness of what was wrong in this great country. We still have more challenges ahead and we have Ali,s memories to help us on this journey for peace and equality, Amen.
No words to describe how great Ali was. The best part of me living in Miami Beach was not the ocean. It was the fact that Muhammad spent a lot of time there, and he first became famous there when he beat Sonny Liston. His morning road work was running from Overtown in Miami to Miami Beach, across the long bridge connecting the two cities. Every time I drove across that bridge, all I could think about was Ali. When he passed away the world lost its most famous man. As for Miami Beach, it was never the same after Muhammad. We adopted Ali and he became the biggest part of the city. Everything seems so empty without him.
Many will never fully understand what a great statement Billy made there that day. Perfect in content and masterful in delivery. From the heart, not read from a sheet of paper. I dont think anyone could have honored a man as well as I just witnessed here. God Bless both men.

At the very end, I couldnt control, and tears started to drop, out of love, respect and admiration to the greatest boxer who ever lived! Fantastically done Mr. Billy Crystal. A speech which I'd cherish every time I listen.
“To live in his time” I connected with Billy Crystal when he said that. Cassius Clay later Muhammad Ali did things us people of color would not dare do or say. His bravery inspired a young Hawaiian girl to stand up for my beliefs. Mahalo Ali.
As a Hispanic growing up in Ali era he was my hero. He represented the underrepresented and boy did I love him. I was glued to his every fight and everything he stood for. Brilliant is an understatement. He was put her by God as an example of what we should all strive for. RIP Champ love you!

This speech tells you everything you need to know about Ali. Just a lovely decent human being and a credit to us all.
Definitely
You are right friend 😊
I have always had the greatest respect for Mohammed Ali, he stood alone and above for everyone....
A fitting and beautiful eulogy, thank you Billy Crystal....
I’ve never seen a better tribute
I'm here because I wanna cry and I know I'll surely cry. RIP Legend 🕊️
That sends chills up my spine listening to it. Beautiful tribute!!
When I was a boy, if Ali had a fight, the world stopped. My mother would let us stay up to watch, no matter the time, and with the time difference the thriller in Manilla and the rumble in the jungle both happened far past my bedtime. In a world of divided opinions, everyone was of the opinion that he was the greatest, and everyone was right. Respect sir...respect.
absolutely all of us would stay up [uk] to watch ali fight. great memories thanks!.
@@kevwalton272 young kid at the time. Ali's fights in the middle of the night , on a black and white tv may be my earlist memories of sport. I can play those memories in my head like a video , they're very special.
@@Doug791 same for me.
Your mother was one hellova mother! How lucky you were to have her.
Well done, Little Brother.

Ali refuse draft
Phronesis 666 your point?
Yes, Phronesis.......it was the 1960's, and Ali was protesting the draft for a war that America didn't need to be sending good men to die in......
@@JimGrafitti with all the racism that was going on I would not want to go either. Why would you fight for a country that discriminates.
He was/is the greatest of all times.
That speech made me cry. What a true and long friendship Muhammed and Billy shared. Our memories of you will always sting like a bee. R.I.P. Big brother. 💔😢🐝🐝🥊🥊🏆

Billy Crystal's Eulogy of Muhammad Ali was indeed beautiful. It shows that he was a true friend of Ali's. Billy is a credit to his Jewish people. Having a friend like Billy Crystal, is what makes life worth while. I can see why Ali referred to him as Little Brother. God bless you Billy for the kinds words on behalf of the Champ. I loved Billy Crystal's tribute to his big brother, Muhammad Ali. RIP. Ray, thanks for sharing.
nothing against fox news, but this is the first time I ever liked one of their videos. I Hope people will take Muhammad Ali as an example of the rest of the Muslims around the world. 0.000001% can't and will never represent us . Rip Muhammad Ali
Billy Crystal inspires us all as much as Muhammad Ali did. Thank you Billy and that was a fantastic memory of Ali to always remember forever how Ali changed the world and brought us all together. Amen

Words won’t describe this man’s incredible description of “The Greatest “
Mr. Crystal, you did an excellent job.
wonderful speech Billy Crystal, building bridges not walls ..respect from your Muslim brother
Thank you Billy Crystal . What a tribute to a man the world loves ? Rest in peace CHAMP .
How beautiful. A drop of proof that Peace can exist on earth. Let us look to our hearts.
"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." --Muhammad Ali--
Greetings from Amman, Jordan .
If Mr. Billy Crystal happens by chance to read this it would be magical . Not holding my breath .
Listening to your speech has been a true breath of fresh air . It’s been a long time since I’ve heard some indirect positivity in regards to our “Semitic family feud “ . Thank you for honoring Ali and being a voice for peace . Humanity still has a chance . RIP Muhammad Ali, the King of Boxing lives forever .
A truly beautiful and well deserved eulogy. A true champion in and out of the ring. The respect given to a man who earned every bit of it . RIP
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Quite beautiful even from 2022 perspective. Who is here now? Who will help us light the way? Ali left us a pathway to follow.
AMEN.....
Billy Crystal did an incredible job paying tribute to one of greatest athletes, if not "the greatest" of our time - well done Billy...well done! RIP Muhammad Ali!
Hi how are you doing?
“35 years after he stopped fighting, he is still the champion of the world”
Sums up Ali in that one sentence. When you hear the word “Greatest” no one else comes to mind but Ali.
Michael Jordan. Wayne Gretzky. The SPORT was the important thing, not themselves. Whatever they thought privately, in public they were gentlemen and truly humble.
@@michaelanderson2881 Bad comment
@@michaelanderson2881 Shallow thinking
@@howareyoutoday2697 Precise thinking. Ali was a great boxer and a lousy person.
The greatest athlete in the world! He continues to touch our hearts.
Handsome, poetic, let us know how he would NOT fight against people that never ever lifted a finger against him.
He taught us a lesson. Turn the other cheek, but always state your opinion with love & kindness
Muhammad Ali, you will always be in our hearts.
I’m coming back after years to watch this again. RIP Mohammed Ali
To express the LOVE of another human being the way Mr. Crystal did is just plain phenomenal!!! The summary of Muhammad Ali life and their friendship is breathtaking!!! I am so thankful that I live in a time where we can see recordings of such AWESOME EVENTS!!! Well done, Mr. Crystal!!! Rest Well, Champ!! Always missed never to ever be forgotten!!!👏🏽❤️👏🏽❤️👏🏽❤️👏🏽

This brought tears to my eyes. I’ve watched it before, and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. 🌹🥊❤️

No tears for me but Billy Crystal rolled through this like a Boss. That’s what talent looks and sounds like
What a staggeringly beautiful, heartfelt tribute to and celebration of Ali.
Billy Crystal shows such incredible class and love.
Extraordinarily moving.❤️
That was a heartfelt and spectacular tribute that had many crying. Little brother reminding all of us that Ali was a simple man who,s beliefs brought awareness of what was wrong in this great country. I AM THE GREATEST !! Yes you were Muhammad yes you were in more ways than one ..... RIP champ
Wow....little brother to big brother... I love you...I'll never forget you...and no one who WITNESSED ALI....ever will...
Weird
Many will never fully understand what a great statement Billy made there that day. Perfect in content and masterful in delivery. From the heart, not read from a sheet of paper. I dont think anyone could have honored a man as well as I just witnessed here. God Bless both men.
The shared love and respect is obvious and inspiring!

Hello 👋,how are you doing today??
At the very end, I couldnt control, and tears started to drop, out of love, respect and admiration to the greatest boxer who ever lived! Fantastically done Mr. Billy Crystal. A speech which I'd cherish every time I listen.
How can one not cry after listening to this beautiful tribute by Billy ❤️
“To live in his time” I connected with Billy Crystal when he said that. Cassius Clay later Muhammad Ali did things us people of color would not dare do or say. His bravery inspired a young Hawaiian girl to stand up for my beliefs. Mahalo Ali.
As a Hispanic growing up in Ali era he was my hero. He represented the underrepresented and boy did I love him. I was glued to his every fight and everything he stood for. Brilliant is an understatement. He was put her by God as an example of what we should all strive for. RIP Champ love you!
I usually watch this when I am down and out and need to be uplifted.
We don't have HEROS like Muhammad Ali ANYMORE.
Great stories Mr. Billy Chrystal. Thank you for expressing all of our sentiments.
So much convergence between Britain and America... Muhammed Ali your greatest and Daley Thomson ours. Look him up.. Olympic medals, World records, humble background, modest and unassuming... A true Brit.
R. I.P. Muhammed Ali.

What a Tribute, some Eulogy, Billy Crystal is amazing, I don't think he wrote down a word, just from the heart. I hope some people in leadership of this Great United States of America take note. Thank you for posting this wonderful tribute to someone I & a lot òf kids my age growing up admired.
