Set list: 1.) Intro: 0:00 2.) Ivy and Wine: 0:45 3.) Falling in style: 4:43 4.) White Flag: 8:24 5.) She is Well and Nothing Can Be Ill: 13:04 6.) If He Dies, He Dies: 20:57
They're brutal. Remember seeing them live closer to their first shows, and Jerry walked right by me all like "excuse me man" and I didn't even realize. Was intense.
thats why there is the option of media forms, you can have the perfect studio songs or also see the band live and get the energy and performance aspect. yes quality is very important live and i feel like GC does a pretty good job of bringing the quality of their songs to live shows.
fawk ! this is fucking insane ! i love the energy they give on stage, u can feel it even at the other side of the screen ! plus this band if 50% black ! thats awesome !
That intro music into Ivy and Wine worked to perfection! Such impact. It's a shame Jerry's vocal performance wasn't up to scratch. His screams were sick but the cleans on If He Dies He Dies were disappointing. I know he said he was ill so I'll let him off coz he sounds so dam good on record.
Anyone notice Jerry spitting all over the fucking stage? He loogied like 5 times. Next up: Like Moths to Flames...and then Bam! A ruff slip for the vocalist. Good thing our northern friends have good health. Those stitches will be gone in no time.
I think it's just because they're so drop tuned (which doesn't help) also its a live show, as much as i want them to sound great, if they don't move its really not that interesting. they have a great balance
Studio's are for creating your song in the cleanest purest form. The stage is for the party. I see your point and I would also rather see a full band performing all the aspects of the song but on the other side they go nuts on stage and put in a lot of energy so: "in the end it doesn't even matter. (linkin park)
Unearthlywhales Well to counter your point, it does matter. A live band should be able to present themselves the way they best want to be presented. Obviously these guys want to just be a hardcore band, and i say good for them, but it can be very off putting. I would agree, I wish they would get another guitarist just for live shows to play the leads/rhythms, even if the guy is put off to the side or something.
They have way more than 1 backing track live. Josh Travis records like 8 layers of extra guitar. To play ALL of it, they'd need quite a few guitar players.
I think it would take away from Josh if they got another guitarist. One of the coolest parts about GC is Josh, and if they had another or a few more guitarists on stage it would not be as cool. Like with Periphery and Misha. I find people talking about the other guitarists more than Misha now and he is Periphery basically.
It would be just my personal preference to be able to see all main parts of the song that you can hear clearly (not every single track on the recording) played live. They are stll badass live and put on a great show, it's just something I like to see.
This band was brutally ahead of their time. Man I miss this.
If I had One Wish, would be to BRING BACK THIS BAND.
2020 and still miss them. Wish I could have seen them live.
@@diego5262 2021 - same.
agreed!
Agreed

That intro music into Ivy and Wine worked to perfection! Such impact. It's a shame Jerry's vocal performance wasn't up to scratch. His screams were sick but the cleans on If He Dies He Dies were disappointing. I know he said he was ill so I'll let him off coz he sounds so dam good on record.

If they come back, I’d accept original members only. This band would be amazing for the scene now.
probably the most solid and crazy prog band today.
They go so ham, it's fucking awesome
I miss this band more than I miss most bands, new emmure is dope and all, but watching josh just play 1's and 0's now is kinda sad....
How did Silverstein survive playing after this??
Saw these guys open for After the Burial. One hell of a show, they rock the fuck out!
Does anyone have the setlist?
2022
I don't know how Josh plays like that...I would vomit.
Anyone notice Jerry spitting all over the fucking stage? He loogied like 5 times. Next up: Like Moths to Flames...and then Bam! A ruff slip for the vocalist. Good thing our northern friends have good health. Those stitches will be gone in no time.
Did you guys get any footage of the chelsea grin show that just passed??
I like that they're active and hyped on stage, but i think if they calmed down, only a bit, the instruments could come out cleaner,
this is some crazy shit right there
really cool

Rumor has it that josh travis is really a hologram
I think it's just because they're so drop tuned (which doesn't help)
also its a live show, as much as i want them to sound great, if they don't move its really not that interesting. they have a great balance

I love GC but they seriously need to get another guitarist so they can get rid of that prerecorded bullshit live
