I swear i'm hearing double pedal strokes from the drummer and the way he's able to maintain steady, basic beats and use double pedals moreso for fills as opposed to what you see from a lot of drumming in genres like Metal where they're constantly slamming that bass drum instead of giving it some room to breathe is seriously refreshing to see.

An insane set, props to the engineers and the band - even with the reduced quality compared to the original upload, the percussion sounds crispy and massive, the wailing guitars fuzzing to the border of tearing themselves apart with distortion. The incremental disintegration of the vocals as Alexis's histrionics wreak havoc on the equipment seem like a lightning in a bottle occurrence. However, the panoply of allegations raise enough questions to retroactively comb through their discography's song-writing with great attention. What once seemed like sullen ruminations on societal decay, the fragility of the mind and the loose link between sanity / insanity now read more like self-referential outlets for violence, on self sure, but on women / partners. The kiss at the end takes on a completely new interpretation.

But I will criticize Kerrang for taking this video down. How cowardly of them. Allegedly bad people can make great art too, and taking down the video discredits the other five members of this great band.

Now, I know people in these situations love to say "innocent until proven guilty" but I have 2 issues with that in this instance. Firstly the prosecution rate for domestic/sexual assault is abysmally low simply due to the nature of how difficult it is to prosecute such cases. Secondly, Lingua Ignota is a successful and critically acclaimed artist in her own right. She has been very vocal about her history as a survivor of domestic abuse in previous relationships and it is a central theme of her work. She would have absolutely nothing to gain and literally everything to lose by levying false accusations, her credibility as an artist would be reduced to dust if she was found to be lying. With that being said, here is Kristin "Lingua Ignota" Hayter's statement, judge for yourself: ---------- I was in an abusive relationship with Alexis Marshall from July 2019 through June 2021. I endured mental and emotional abuse and sexual abuse resulting in bodily harm. Alexis’ addiction to one-sided sex effected me in extreme ways. I was subjected to multiple sexual assaults/rapes where I was fully penetrated while sleeping without my consent, after I explicitly stated this was *not ok with me.* Alexis obtained consent through deception, manipulation, and coercion. Alexis used me for sexual gratification in situations where I was deeply uncomfortable but consented because I was terrified he would cheat on me or get upset if I didn’t do what he wanted. In one incident of objectifying, violent sex, Alexis caused a severe injury to my spine and did not stop when I told him I was hurt. This injury resulted in debilitating pain and physical incapacitation for months. I needed surgery to treat this injury, a massive lumbar disc herniation that created an emergency condition called Cauda Equina Syndrome, which threatened permanent loss of bladder and bowel function. Alexis continued to require constant sexual attention even though I was severely injured. I needed his support for the surgery but Alexis abandoned me 24 hours before my procedure. Alexis cheated on me emotionally and physically throughout our relationship and triangulated me with other sexual partners as a way to confuse, humiliate, and destabilize me. He always denied his behavior, and gaslit me when confronted with irrefutable proof. Alexis sustained patterns of lying and manipulation to excuse his behavior; he blame-shifted, minimized, denied, and provoked me so that he could call me aggressive and crazy. He used my past of domestic violence against me to claim what he was doing wasn’t that bad because it was not physical battering. He was jealous and resentful of my professional relationships and isolated me from friends. He took advantage of me financially. He blamed me for everything that was wrong in his life. His abusive behavior continued and in some ways worsened after he completed rehab for sex addiction and started working a twelve-step program. He lied about the terms of his recovery. He weaponized his recovery against me and blamed me for not being able to get well. As a result of his ongoing abuse I attempted suicide in December 2020 in the basement of our home. Alexis’ response to my suicide attempt was cold and unfeeling. Meanwhile, Alexis used threats of suicide and self-harm to manipulate me often, such as when I told him I needed to cut contact with him for my own well-being, or when I confronted him about lying. After our breakup, I learned about Alexis’ long history of predatory and abusive/exploitative behavior towards women, for which he is well-known in certain areas, and which has been corroborated by multiple people including a long-term ex-partner. These incidents range from sexual misconduct and sexual relationships with subordinates at work, sexual harassment, ultimatums, and sexual assault. Multiple peers and women performers have spoken to me about uncomfortable experiences with him. Alexis establishes trust with vulnerable women and then exploits them sexually. I learned that this behavior continued throughout our relationship and after he entered recovery. As a result of this relationship my quality of life decreased significantly. I suffered enormous psychological and physical damage. I continue to do physical therapy to treat ongoing issues with my spine and am in intensive therapy.

Also Gore hacked into his computers and social media, creating fake email accounts to manufacture evidence Manson had been distributing "illicit pornography. Which violates the California Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act. Plus Wood and Gore had Marilyn Manson swatted by the LAPD. So Woods and Gore are liars. My point is women these days are mostly liars and it effects the few that are true abuse survivors.

Makes sense! But For me I always think of the idea of muses- meaning inspiration and creation come to people through their experiences, through who and what they are- but that doesn’t mean the creation is solely them. It speaks through them. That plus art belonging to all who connect to it- it’s then gone from the artist. It becomes it’s own entity. All of us who ever loved this band have their own unique experience, specific to us. Once it’s ours, it’s not theirs anymore. Not really.

@@kar12894he was in a relationship with the musician Kristin Hayter (Lingua Ignota) that started when they were touring together in 2019. Following their breakup she released a statement outlining the abuse that Alexis subjected her too and it's absolutely harrowing to read.
Now, I know people in these situations love to say "innocent until proven guilty" but I have 2 issues with that in this instance.
Firstly the prosecution rate for domestic/sexual assault is abysmally low simply due to the nature of how difficult it is to prosecute such cases.
Secondly, Lingua Ignota is a successful and critically acclaimed artist in her own right. She has been very vocal about her history as a survivor of domestic abuse in previous relationships and it is a central theme of her work. She would have absolutely nothing to gain and literally everything to lose by levying false accusations, her credibility as an artist would be reduced to dust if she was found to be lying.
With that being said, here is Kristin "Lingua Ignota" Hayter's statement, judge for yourself:

I was in an abusive relationship with Alexis Marshall from July 2019 through June 2021. I endured mental and emotional abuse and sexual abuse resulting in bodily harm. Alexis’ addiction to one-sided sex effected me in extreme ways. I was subjected to multiple sexual assaults/rapes where I was fully penetrated while sleeping without my consent, after I explicitly stated this was *not ok with me.* Alexis obtained consent through deception, manipulation, and coercion. Alexis used me for sexual gratification in situations where I was deeply uncomfortable but consented because I was terrified he would cheat on me or get upset if I didn’t do what he wanted. In one incident of objectifying, violent sex, Alexis caused a severe injury to my spine and did not stop when I told him I was hurt. This injury resulted in debilitating pain and physical incapacitation for months. I needed surgery to treat this injury, a massive lumbar disc herniation that created an emergency condition called Cauda Equina Syndrome, which threatened permanent loss of bladder and bowel function. Alexis continued to require constant sexual attention even though I was severely injured. I needed his support for the surgery but Alexis abandoned me 24 hours before my procedure. Alexis cheated on me emotionally and physically throughout our relationship and triangulated me with other sexual partners as a way to confuse, humiliate, and destabilize me. He always denied his behavior, and gaslit me when confronted with irrefutable proof.
Alexis sustained patterns of lying and manipulation to excuse his behavior; he blame-shifted, minimized, denied, and provoked me so that he could call me aggressive and crazy. He used my past of domestic violence against me to claim what he was doing wasn’t that bad because it was not physical battering. He was jealous and resentful of my professional relationships and isolated me from friends. He took advantage of me financially. He blamed me for everything that was wrong in his life.
His abusive behavior continued and in some ways worsened after he completed rehab for sex addiction and started working a twelve-step program. He lied about the terms of his recovery. He weaponized his recovery against me and blamed me for not being able to get well.
As a result of his ongoing abuse I attempted suicide in December 2020 in the basement of our home. Alexis’ response to my suicide attempt was cold and unfeeling. Meanwhile, Alexis used threats of suicide and self-harm to manipulate me often, such as when I told him I needed to cut contact with him for my own well-being, or when I confronted him about lying.
After our breakup, I learned about Alexis’ long history of predatory and abusive/exploitative behavior towards women, for which he is well-known in certain areas, and which has been corroborated by multiple people including a long-term ex-partner. These incidents range from sexual misconduct and sexual relationships with subordinates at work, sexual harassment, ultimatums, and sexual assault. Multiple peers and women performers have spoken to me about uncomfortable experiences with him. Alexis establishes trust with vulnerable women and then exploits them sexually. I learned that this behavior continued throughout our relationship and after he entered recovery.
As a result of this relationship my quality of life decreased significantly. I suffered enormous psychological and physical damage. I continue to do physical therapy to treat ongoing issues with my spine and am in intensive therapy.

@@user-bf6gz8ej4o He’s an abusive asshole and multiple women came out against him about December last year and January this year. It’s really sad and it makes a lot of the lyrics disgusting to listen to. I’d assume that it was taken down because K! Pit didn’t want to be associated with him.
Haven't considered she is possibly lying? A lot of famous women these days are lying about the relationships with their spouses to get them cancelled. Because the woman is just simply turning on the spouse because they are not getting along anymore.

Gore had impersonated a FBI Agent and falsifying federal documents obtained from an actual FBI Agent. Woods and Gore spent years contacting his former girlfriends and provided "checklists and scripts" to prospective accusers in order to corroborate Wood's claims. Also Gore hacked into his computers and social media, creating fake email accounts to manufacture evidence Manson had been distributing "illicit pornography. Which violates the California Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act. Plus Wood and Gore had Marilyn Manson swatted by the LAPD. So Woods and Gore are liars. My point is women these days are mostly liars and it effects the few that are true abuse survivors.

You can like a piece of shit band/artist music without supporting them. It is the same thing on why people are obsessed with serial killers, they don't support them in any way, but they are interested in the story of what the serial killer did (like a character study). Does this make any sense?
Makes sense! But For me I always think of the idea of muses- meaning inspiration and creation come to people through their experiences, through who and what they are- but that doesn’t mean the creation is solely them. It speaks through them. That plus art belonging to all who connect to it- it’s then gone from the artist. It becomes it’s own entity. All of us who ever loved this band have their own unique experience, specific to us. Once it’s ours, it’s not theirs anymore. Not really.
