I'm guessing most of the people commenting, saying they don't like the screaming parts, had never listened to Glass Cloud before hearing this. It wouldn't make sense as a Glass Cloud version if it didn't have those parts. The whole point of a cover is to take a song and put your own spin on it...otherwise, you're just a glorified pub jam band.
ive come to the decision that joshua travis's playing is a guitarists response to dubstep... the noises out of that mans guitar -.- why cant i be that damn good
I need this on Spotify, its such a banger of a cover just changes enough for me to want to listen to both which is a good thing as some covers are far too focused on 1/1 conversions with fundamental differences
Better than everything on every punk goes pop compilation and probably my favorite cover of all time. I miss glass cloud. Now that I know Look at Yourself is the extent of a Josh Travis influence for Emmure and theyre just gonna be a korn tribute band, the breakup of glass cloud hurts even more.
This is such intelligent insight from a high-class gentleman. Your review of this "Gay. As. Fuck." song has opened my eyes to how bad it truly is. You are an artist of speech, the most eloquent man this world has ever seen, it seems. All bullshit aside, this song is pretty damn good. The original song was released in 1985, which would probably explain why you think it's "gay". Now, this band is clearly mature and musically minded enough to have not made just one long breakdown, like most would.
I heard about this song from glee, and the Glee cover was fucking good so I got obessed with that version and then the original, then right after you guys release this. I guess I should never get over loving this song.
He does have a lot of skill, and is very capable of playing very advanced music. He's not my favorite guitarist, but I don't think he's even close to being a bad guitarist. I guess it all comes down to what you look for in a musician.
I see where you are coming from on this cover. I personally liked it. The fills were in time and all, but they were a little busy for this song. And it's a bit weird going from an ambient 12/8 groove to a chaotic 6/4 based groove that's based on the quarter note of the 12/8 part. Progressive Post Hardcore is known for doing crazy shit, though.
I guess he's the master of all things chaotic, and that's the way he likes his tone. It seems like he loves using dissonance and diminished chords, maybe in a way few can understand. And whether you think he's good or not, he still knows his shit about guitar and music in general.
Wish this was on Spotify. This is one of the best covers I've ever heard
Ever....
My wish also
Still jamming out to this cover hard as hell 7 years later! Such a jam!
Woah! Fancy seeing you here!
@@EternalDB1 hell yeah! I was listening some throwback jams and remembered this cover!
Super underrated cover.
One of the best covers of this song. Sounds magical
Can we start a petition to get this one and only classic on Spotify?!

Shaun Couper porn hub band?
@@listentofin That's not a bad idea actually...
What a great way to put it.. well said bro
@@listentofin every show starting with the pornhub intro
>pub jam band
you think 10 seconds of screaming in 4min song changes that?
Nobody expected that swift kick in the nuts at 2:28! Josh travis is one hell of a brutal riff writer!
I've heard better. Sounds like shit.
Tell a friend about this song today. Years of coming back to this song what a sick cover
Whoever mixed these drums was a genius. Along with chad for playing this so well. But that damn snare is PERFECT.
listen to other josh travis demos these drums are programmed
No Glass Cloud song is complete without a wrecking Danza moment from Joshua lol.
I get such a dystopian futuristic vibe from this song, I love it
It took me 4 years to find this song again. I am terrible at remembering stuff 😅 Glass cloud cover still rocks 🔥
This song has an energy that reminds me of being young enough to still be scene but old enough to smoke.
This hits too hard, dawg.
After 5 years of listening to this, it still never gets old! So good
I believe a good cover should be recognizable, yet still have something new to add. This song does both perfectly.
Started to listen this band in 2016, and never heared this. This so sad, and sad that's band disbanded.
ive come to the decision that joshua travis's playing is a guitarists response to dubstep... the noises out of that mans guitar -.- why cant i be that damn good
The drummer sure does love his snare... Lol. I kid. For reals though, I love this cover. It's awesome. :D
this is absolutely amazing. completely blown away.
2:24 happens BECAUSE everybody wants to rule the world
I need this on Spotify, its such a banger of a cover just changes enough for me to want to listen to both which is a good thing as some covers are far too focused on 1/1 conversions with fundamental differences
Saw these guys live, they're badass, and sound killer!
Welcome back Traveler.
Again. Welcome back.
this cover hasnt aged a day
fucking hell this still goes so damn hard! i wished they were still a band, only got to see them once.
Glass Cloud did a cover of my favorite songs....the world is a little bit better for now...
Imagine if this whole CD was a Live Charity TV program... ALL THE MONEY WOULD RAIN IN 02:32
Well that was intense. lol. So stoked to see them live tomorrow!
I'd like to hear an ALL clean vocal version of this. Jerry Roush's clean vocals are heavenly.
It's a great example of autotune
year 2022 and im still begging for this track on spotify
2021 This still a bop
Better than everything on every punk goes pop compilation and probably my favorite cover of all time. I miss glass cloud. Now that I know Look at Yourself is the extent of a Josh Travis influence for Emmure and theyre just gonna be a korn tribute band, the breakup of glass cloud hurts even more.
Love the drums!
Everything Josh touches is pure gold
Rocking tune and break down.
Glad I found this !
i'm actually stoked as fuck on this.
God, I'm so obsessed with this cover.....
3:24 !!!!!!!!
@glasscloud do the world a favor and reunite
I think the concluding buildup goes even harder than the initial drop, makes my brow furrow and jaw clench every time, so good!!
Overlay on this track. Still love them. Glass cloud is great.
How many fingers does Josh Travis actually have?
Still a very under appreciated cover
wow this is a great cover that i'd definitely listen to on more than one occasion
Great cover. Great choice, Gentlemen.

Still bumping this
Fuck yes! this rules! FTW! brutal.
Best cover ever.
this and Lilac get me amped like no other song has or could
Awesome. Loved it, Glass Cloud.
Saw them live in Orlando. Made the concert.
NICE. Pretty sweet cover. Had this song stuck in my head since Bioshock Infinite came out. Good to see a brutal cover of this. :D
This is still such a massive cover, damn shame it's not on Spotify.
Best cover of anything EVER
You guys need to make more songs like this
They just need more songs period
@@nicklam5234 Waiting on that new music, I heard Josh said that Jerry is basically pulling off a Serj Tankian and just not really caring to do vocals
Fell in love with this song even more!
Best cover ever ... awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
80's music is great, along with 60's 70's 90's (and jazz). this is good too :)
This. Is. The. Best. Thing. Ever.
2024 still one of my favorite covers
so nasty so glad i got see this tour live in cambridge!
I love this cover
pls put it back on spotify
awesome!!
oh my god this is beautiful.
WHAT AN AMAZING COVER!!!! Wow that was fantastic
For more examples of heavier drums over soft ambience, try Minus The Bear (especially "Pachuca Sunrise") or Cloudkicker.
Wow, actually I'm blown away.
groovy song guys :D keep it up
Well that escalated quicky
HOLY FUCKING SHIT SO GOOD. JERRY, YOU ARE THE MAN. YOUR VOICE. OMG.

This is how original sohould sound....
No. The original is the original, and it's one of the best songs around. It doesn't need to sound any different.

LET THE DESTRUCTION BEGIN.
I like them even more now.
I love how everyone refers to everything Josh Travis does as a "danza". Because everyone knows that Glass cloud would be nothing without him.
He does have a lot of skill, and is very capable of playing very advanced music. He's not my favorite guitarist, but I don't think he's even close to being a bad guitarist. I guess it all comes down to what you look for in a musician.
I suddenly hold pride to the Glass Cloud bracelet that I bought for no reason at the AP Tour back in October
DO AFRICA BY TOTO!
PLEASE
Deanimator22 no
this version is the only version of EWTRTW on clone hero that isn't absurdly hard, and I was NOT expecting the screaming parts lmao
yes.
I love it, but I definitely understand where you're coming from.
Anyone surprised by Josh in this must not have listened to Danza much.
holy shizz glasscloud covered tears for fears?! MINDBLOWN
Thank. U.
A+
OH MY GOD!!! THE BREAKDOWN!!!! MY HEADS GONNA EXPLODE!!!!!

If anything without that "bullshit" as he calls it from the 80s...We wouldn't have the awesome music we do today. Its called PROGRESSION
Yea Jerry.. dope shit my friend
Need more snare

i swear it sounded like micheal jacksons " the way you make me feel" in the beginning
I know exactly what you mean, and I must also say I agree.
3:25 DAMN! I'm not amazed about his screams, but that vocal transition definitely rules the world
