I love how when Writer Guy brings up Mando, he makes it feel so out of nowhere, like it did in the actual show.
Two things could have made the spinny move make sense:
1: A simple blaster bolt flying through the space his body had just occupied. This would have the added bonus of improving upon the lore of the cybernetic implants of the Tatooine Power Rangers, showing they could dodge blasters. Or...
2: If he'd simply been wearing a trenchcoat or duster, the flare from the spin would have at least _looked_ cool, especially if he was spinning on the draw.
It's tempting to think the first idea might be what they originally intended, but I think that's giving them too much credit.
As much as I laughed at Honest (50% dramatic entrances) Trailers, I gotta go with "No", "Baby Green Money Baby", "Oh wow, wow, wow, wow,...wow" Pitch Meetings!
Maybe no-one takes a shot during the little-spin-move, because they are standing there thinking WTF?

Finding out that Mark Hamill wasn't even given the option to voice himself made me throw a hard pass at both. Not only did they use his body, but didn't give one of the greatest voiceover artists the option to do their own voice... Nuuuuupe.

Hamill did film every scene as Luke Skywalker. There's some cool set pics of him with Ahsoka.
You… you know his voice sounds _completely_ different now, right? Good VA ability doesn’t mean you’re able to replicate how you used to sound.
He did voice himself as Luke there is set photos of him with his younger double,ahsoka and grogu

Thought I watched the Honest Trailer as well but apparently not. Enjoyed it more than I usually do the newer Honest Trailers but Ryan still took this one. Him describing the action building up to a war in Boba Fett, then just casually flipping to Mando was gold 😅
That's true! It was all Boba Fett, then snap Mando's back. His delivery on that was hilarious!
"It sounds like... some content, for sure" is the most important problem about the franchise at the moment. They don't really care about telling good and intriguing stories or developing the characters in a meaningful way. At least it's not their first priority. It's just about creating... you know.. content
The turnaround is one of Robert Rodriguez' signature shot from most of his movies. Especially in the Mariachi movies, there are a lot of these. It looks weird but he seems to like it very much eheheh
He pretty much nailed my thoughts on Cad Bane. The only thing that he didn't really bring up was that even fans of The Clone Wars probably don't understand the relationship between Boba and Bane because it was in unfinished arcs.

At this point I don’t even bother trying to watch Disney plus shows because I get so bored easily I never finish them.
Everything is so bland and created to be as non-offensive possible.

The Mando episodes nailed Boba’s character: Stand around, look badass, and say nothing
I’ve watched dozens and dozens and dozens of shows, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt more strongly about anything that grogu should not have gone back to mando. Absolutely wrecks the perfect goodbye they had, and it would’ve been a lot more interesting imo to see mandalorian trying to get over it in season 3. But I’m guessing it was the Disney higher ups who demanded mando and Grogu be together for season 3
Disney really needs to stop undoing stuff that is already meaningful. Just because people keeps saying grogu should meet his papa, doesn't mean you just write that "as soon as possible". They love undoing stuff that is either from George Lucas or their own writer. And also, bringing grogu and luke in boba fett series just for them to cut ties is really mickey mouse evil. They could've done it in Mandalorian season 3, it still sucks but at least doesn't feel sinister.
@@hitsurei Yeah, I was fully expecting to see this storyline play out in Mando Season 3. I still enjoyed it, but it really showed like they didn't know what else to do with a show about Boba Fett. Which is odd because they were going to do a movie at on point.

KK couldn't let Luke Skywalker stay a hero! It is pretty obvious that those 2 Mando episodes were stolen from Mando Season 3 work. That is when the John Favreau stuff was coming to a head. It was his show and she Hijacked it.

At least Danny Trejo was in it! Nobody is talking about that! Honestly, my biggest issue was that Boba was constanly taking his helmet off. His main mystery was his anonymity.

LOL... Yea... the Vespa Scooter thing was actually the part of the series where I had to take a deep breath, think awhile, and make a decision on whether or not to continue watching the rest. And I am glad I did, but I thought Kenobi (even with it's faults) was probably the best Disney+ mini series. Although The Mandalorian had the best ending.

Cade Bane was awesome in the clone wars.
The Cade Bane rivalry doesn't make sense to Clone Wars fans. Boba never meets him in the Clone Wars. If you're a really hardcore Clone Wars fan you would know some of the half finished episodes had an arc about their rivalry, but it was never released.
I thought the show was fine. Was it great? No, but it didn't make me want to turn off, either.
Also - the Luke deep fake was orders of magnitude better than the stuff at the end of Mando Season 2. It's too a point now where it doesn't bother me enough to pay more attention to it than to what is happening.
I can understand the Cad Bane criticism - but for those of us who knew him from TCW, that was an awesome reveal. Did *not* expect to see him again.
Yeah, Cad Bane showing up was definitely a highlight.

I tapped out of the SWU right after the second movie in the trilogy. I just like to check back into people shitting all over everything Disney is doing to Star Wars, further vindicating myself from choosing, not, to, watch.
They did kick us out of our own fandom, after we kept it alive for 35 years. So yeah, enjoy the space train wreck. 🍿
The best part of this show, was how it made me watch The Mandalorian.

I feel like Disney's only purpose with new start wars was to make previous characters lame and totally different from what they were. Also make up different powers/mechanics of the world, again breaking previously established story. And in boba fett they also were trying to destroy aesthetic of the Star Wars with vespa gang. Idk, it just feel like aside from Rogue One everything else has been targeted attack at the franchise. Well, mandalorian is not, but it has benefit of being largely separate totally different kind of storyline separated from established stuff. And honestly, Boba Fett idea was kinda stupid in my opinion, what could have been more interesting would have been movie about some clone during time of the Empire. Could have used the same actor and age would make sense.
Disney cornered the girl market with their princess properties. They bought Lucasfilm to get the boy market. And the first thing Kathleen Kennedy did was kick out 35 years of boy fans and ignored/dismissed the girl fans (+40%), by making the Force female. $4.05 billion and they vilified the paying customers. If it were a man, he'd be fired on the spot. KK must have lots of dirt.
They missed the opportunity to have a great show with a fan favorite character that reached cult level devotion. A series of him working for people (besides Jabba… I mean I don’t know why they had him sticking around with jabba… he was a business man) have him hunting down Han Solo, or recluse Jedi for revenge on killing his father. What they gave us was garbage. Vespas?!?! 🤦🏻♂️ plus get away from Tatooine from time to time!!!! It went from a remote hiding place to the most popular planet in the galaxy! They even had the Daytona 500 of pod racing there!!!! 🤦🏻♂️
Was not a fan of the show. Watched all the way through. Was upset with how they did Bane and Boba. Also getting tired of them trying to sympathize with the race of people who tortured Anakins mom for no reason. And still not a fan of this new era of Luke who’s like “leave your friends and train or don’t train and leave”. And was real confused on the whole dark saber thing that it was heavy to new users even though in CW and REBELS there are people who used it first time and quit easy.
Boba Fett in the Mandalorian was WAY better than Boba in the Book of Boba Fett.

You know he's mostly practical effects, right? As in, a puppet.
He's only cgi in certain scenes where puppetry can't achieve what they need.
@@JakkFrost1 Yeah, but some scenes the puppetry couldn't make it better, all due respect to the practical effects, since Disney made him into a co star. They don't need to make him do big steps or he'll look like wooden legs baby. Or smooth the movement on cgi later.
