"I didn't even know I was rooting for that outcome, but I am intensely proud of him!" is such a great description of the actual feeling I had when I saw him doing that.
In regards to the Addams, I remember seeing somewhere that they're not actually just a family of really morbid "normal" people. They're "Irregulars" I believe, which also includes all the different monster species at the school, as well as people like Cousin It. While the Addams look more or less normal compared to other Irregulars, one of the things they have in common is that they're extremely hardy, and very difficult to kill, similar to werewolves. That's why you always see Wednesday and Pugsly "playing" with electric chairs and chainsaws for fun, or Gomez's love of explosives. Those kind of things can't kill them, so it's just entertainment to them. In the movies, you see in the graveyard scenes that their ancestors that were actually killed all had pretty extreme measures taken to actually kill them, like burning at the stake or being torn apart by villagers. Being electrocuted or standing near an explosion is just a thrilling time to them.
There is also the whole aspect with Fester and lightbulbs. And Thing. Just... Thing existing in general. and the seemingly sentient or at least animate things on the household grounds like various vines and the gates.
The whole thing about Bryan Cranston is the fact that if Bryan Cranston, the real life actor, exists in the MCU then that probably means that the Godzilla (2014) movie, starring Bryan Cranston, also exists as a fictional movie within the MCU, but the dillemma here is that Elizabeth Olsen is in that movie, but she plays as Wanda so she can't be in the Godzilla movie. It's just basically a very stretched out plothole solely about the existence of a certain movie with a certain actor that connects to another actor and another tv show. It's not even an easter egg, the guy just made it up as a joke for the pitch meeting. You should definitely react to more pitch meetings lol
Wandavision is what got me back into the MCU after I fell off with Age of Ultron in 2015 simply because of Quicksilver as i'm a massive X-Men fan. So it has a special place in my heart and I was not really effected by how different it felt to the MCU as it was years since I watched any MCU related project. MCU needs more stuff like that with Werewolf by Night being another example of something I adored. Hopefully James Gunn does this was DC as well just give us a connected universe but allow projects to stand out with their own style and tone instead of falling into a formula. But 100% Wandavison had so many theorises from X-Men showing up to the possibility of this being our introduction to Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. But hey Marvel fans be like that just overhyping every detail and then get upset when it doesn't happen.
I never get my expectations too high because of stuff like that. I have theories but I always take them as a “wishlist” or “best case scenario” rather than something that will happen.
I feel so sorry for you. You missed the best part of the MCU and now think the crap they produced in Phase 4 is the quality the MCU has allways been... I feel so sorry for you.
@@Smido83 1) The MCU has always had a lot of bad stuff too. It boggles my mind how people have such strict nostalgia goggles for Phase 1-3 while nitpicking every single thing about Phase 4. The MCU was a mixed bag before, it's a mixed bag now. 2. The best stuff in the MCU was Daredevil, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Jessica Jones, and Cloak and Dagger. Just sayin'.
@@northwindkey Like "The little Platoon" rightfully said: "Ahm NO? Even the worst Movies of Phase 1-3 were 100 times better then everything Disney produced after Endgame!" He explains it extremely well over 5 minutes. Although the movies had flaws (some more, some less), they made you feel something and had universal themes. Noone said they were perfect and every Movie was a banger, but Civil War, Guardians 2, Ragnarok, Infinity War, Endgame were overall 10 times better then everything produced in Phase 4. And if he stopped after Ultron and started with Wandavision again, he missed all of that!
Awesome video Nat. Definitely would love to see you laughing at more pitch meetings 😄Good to see one of your movie contributions getting such a high score. 20% for Cats was way too generous 😺The final round turned into a memory game for you ha ha. Thanks for a fun video Nat, and great work Matthew, putting it all together. Brilliant.
I read a comment where someone said "that piranha thing is so out of character for Wednesday." After facepalming, I had to reply "Are you serious? For her that's, you know, a Wednesday."
Agatha All Along was inspired by the theme for the Munsters - which was more recently heard as part of She Wants to Dance Like Uma Thurman - both of which are incredibly catchy.
Hey Nat! First of all, love your reactions. Quick note though: Can you please put "pitch meeting" and maybe a the name of the pitch meeting at the end of the title? or just Pitch Meetings if multiple? and maybe George Ryan's (producer/screenwriter guy) 's thumbnail inside your thumbnail? I almost missed this because i couldnt tell it was a pitch meeting. i thought it was some news or short. and you deserve the views nat! At this moment for example i dont know if you've seen any other pitch meetings because i'm struggling to find the titles
Djimon (rhymes with diamond) Hounsou was in Amistad, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, Shazam!, and Janet Jackson's music video Love Can Never Do Without You
Fun video:) You don't need to edit down the Pitch Meeting videos, I'm pretty sure you're the only channel doing that. Just play them in full, shouldn't be any issues:)
Speaking of that Godzilla "easter egg." In Endgame... when they are listing time travel movies, they bring up Hot Tub Time Machine... which features Sebastian Stan.... Which means, either that movie is an alternate reality version with a different actor... there is a MCU Sebastian Stan but one that looks nothing like our World's Sebastian Stan, OR, that one of Bucky's missions took him deep under cover as a actor playing a 80's ski enthusiast.
I swear, at least half of those movies in the trivia game I had heard of or saw trailers for, but forgot about and never realized they came out in theaters.
"Why have I not heard of ..." Because, Nat, 95% of everything is trash. Case in point, one of my pet peeves is how people say things like "music used to be better in the 70s" ... well, if you listened to Led Zeppelin sure, but I was there and there was as much crap as there is these days. It's just that the bad stuff gets forgotten.
12:12-12:31 Natalie the things is, it actually couldn't have been incest because it was established, multiple times, that Morticia's maiden name is Frump 😂😂
I believe the premise for the school in Wednesday Is That it is a school for outcast So you don't have to have powers you just have to be an outcast that society looks at as strange.
Yeah, i didn't watched Wednsday till the end, it just wasn't good for me. The thing about the Addams Family is, they are weird when they are between "normal" people, but when they are in Hogwarts or Salvatore School .. they are not special anymore and so i liked the first 5 minutes, with the piranhas in the "normal" school, that was fun, that was what i expected and wanted to see more. But for what it was i rather watch "Legacies", there the main character was at least a tribrid to stand out over all the other supernatural beeings.
If actors appear in shows that is also a show they are currently appearing in then that means that the person who is a character is either also still that actor within that universe or they have a twin who is an actor. By having movie references they are saying that person acted in say Godzilla is also an avenger.
I’ve always seen Wednesday as simply a different interpretation of the Addams Family. Like Wednesday may talk big about morbid stuff, but at her core when it comes to people she cares about or is connected to she hates the idea of them being hurt. Which is a theme in most Addams Family content. When someone threatens the “family unit” is when they come together and also reveal their truer selves.
That is only a theme in the more serialized interpretations of the Addams Family, at their core they are supposed to be Newspaper type of cartoons that comment on the normalcy of the "current" times. They are supposed to be outcasts and unintentionally make fun of what we consider common sense and normal.
Allow me to explain. "Goody" is an informal and shortened version of "Goodwife." It was used of married women. Therefore like Morticia, she was married into the Addams family but is the maternal ancestor of Wednesday.
12:13 Did they change or edit the ancestor thing after release or something? When I watched the series they said the blonde girl was from her father's side of the family, I'm 100% sure that's what the mom said.
It seems obvious that Ryan George did not watch the show but watched a youtube review by somebody that hated it instead. He seems to do that more often these days.
You started a compilation pitch meeting video for Marvel Phase 4, but only watched a part of it. You missed a few other pitch meetings in that video, including the one for Eternals (which was one of his best).
