I saw it in 4DX, told my father about it and we went to see it the following weekend together. We put him in the chair, wheeled him into just a regular theater with In N' Out burgers, popcorn and ice-cold soda. He loved it and had a total blast the whole runtime. He gave it an A+. It would be the last movie he'd ever see in theaters, RIP dad.
In the theater watching with my family when they crashed and were in the snow i just whispered to my dad the Mission Impossible theme and he just started laughing
We missed watching it in imax because we didn't have a sitter. Good thing I got my surround sound, subwoofer and a big tv! The scenes with Ice Man were emotional, like he really died. But yes, it was Star Wars / Mission Impossible.
Good news for you- Maverick will be back in theaters for two weeks in December! I absolutely loved this movie. Loved it. Saw it 4 times in theaters, in 4dx, imax, and regular twice. It was so good. You definitely need to see it in theaters. Also, this is one of the best Honest Trailers ever even though I didn't understand most of the "starring" references this time. Pitch Meeting was top-tier hilarious, I think it wins! "So they're gonna do a Star Wars?" haha.
Your not alone my friend. Pitch Meetings are generally better, not to say the honest trailers are not good. Saw this at the D-Box in theatres, great experience.
Pitch meeting of course. Ryan George FTW! Am I biased? It only seems that way because he has earned it. I still love honest trailers but they don't make me LOL nearly as often as Ryan George does.
Tom Cruise taking spaceships - jets against the order of the commander just like Buzz Lightyear did, at least Buzz had to run away from some security to do it
O I hope you got the opportunity to see it on a big screen eventually. It's fantastic in theater. Thanks Tom Cruise, the guy is just consistent onto quality action movies.
That G-Force breathing is a real thing. I give mad props for the attention to realism in TGM. There are UA-cam videos of pilots in training in the G-force sim. The breathing is part of the flexing they have to do with their legs, core, etc. to prevent blood loss from their brains. It is crazy to see them in the sim, ageing 40 years as their skin droops. Give it a look.
The bit about forcing out a big one is funny, but those actors literally had to do that to keep from passing out from high-G turns in the actual fighter aircraft that many of the scenes were filmed in. Talk about method acting! 😆🤣
I had a ball with that movie. Good old style film with gung ho bravado and a hero not "deconstructed", and no "subverting expectations". Entertainment, pure and simple. God, I miss those movies 😭
I am like you I saw it after it was out for streaming. I didn't see it in theaters which I wish I had. It is a fun film and could pick up on the death star run, but it worked then and it works now. I was almost waiting for us to find out that Mav is his father. I would bet they played with the idea, but decided against it.
@@OnMyMindEntertainment I was waiting for them to just say something of that nature. I think if Penny's daughter was his then it might make more sense to have them in the film.
I personally don’t care that movies are getting more fantasy and Sci Fi based, I prefer it a bit, so this one was cool but that original movie sense so many talk about did nothing for me
I am impressed with how Ryan George can find others way to make fun of films. Comparing Maverick to Star Wars.
Ryan is fantastically clever and funny when he did that Chewbacca sound I lost it!

"but for the bad guys it's always lethal" 🤣😂🤣😂 I loved both HT and PM 🤣🤣🤣
Lol!!!!
The Chewbacca noise *destroyed* me!!
🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣😆😆
Also, for once this is a hilarious pitch meeting out of a very good film !
Epic Voice Guy's voice was in his "80's action thriller" voice he used for Die Hard, etc.
Ah! That makes sense
HIGHWAYYYY TO THE DANGERZONE. RIDE INTO THE DANGERZOOONEEEE
My God, your laugh is contagious.
😀thank you
"Not the dumps... The flights..." 🤣😅

He really nailed the star wars part.
This is awesome! I was literally just looking for this video to see if you had uploaded one yet and sure as s*** you do it!
😃🙌🏿
Haven't seen it, but the idea of a "Star Wars on earth" climax does sound pretty fun.
I saw it on the big screen even though I hadn’t (still haven’t) watched the original.
Great experience
They do a good job of making it accessable for people who may not have seen the original. They did an awesome job with this one.

To see you react to these two is so hilarious!!!🤣🤣🤣 Do you remember Star Wars? 😛
Iran. The country is Iran. I was sure since the beginning, but Film Theory made a very detailed video in which it's totally clear.
Your not alone my friend. Pitch Meetings are generally better, not to say the honest trailers are not good. Saw this at the D-Box in theatres, great experience.
The dramatic shot in front of the US flag scene was straight out of "Patton."
Pitch Meeting! "The hit," "getting into this bad boy," and "Chewbacca!!" Both were good, but PM had a funnier presentation!
Pitch meeting of course. Ryan George FTW! Am I biased? It only seems that way because he has earned it. I still love honest trailers but they don't make me LOL nearly as often as Ryan George does.
thanks for the reactions bro❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Man, John Bailey really is the only Epic Voice Guy!
Thanks for making this video!
😀🙌
I like Pitch Meeting best too. Totally agree they grabbed scenes from Star Wars!
Right! Still a really fun movie though, even with all the cliches, lol.

Honest trailers voice is the old voice, since Top Gun is from the 80s.
O I hope you got the opportunity to see it on a big screen eventually. It's fantastic in theater.

Wait... so you can actually just record real planes flying around, you don't have to generate it digitally? Huh. Who would've thunk?
Should’ve added the HISHE. The ice man joke was awesome

Good reaction, I havrn't even seen the first one 🤔 I have a question tho: did you just forget about dbza or what happened? 😕
No, gonna continue those on the backup channel. Haven't uploaded there in a while.
Ooooh! Threatening to put a hit on someone for not including a Tom Cruze running scene is TIGHT!
😂
To be fair, that whole trench run thing is not a "Star Wars" but a "Dam Busters": ua-cam.com/video/vJR3jyMIZnU/v-deo.html
Good thing the Evil Nation didn't think to like build a concrete bunker over the thing.
It seems like everybody missed the Hot Shots Part Cruise.
It's a shame that people forgot Hot Shots with Charlie Sheen.
I remember the second one more than the first, lol
And they're both on HBO Max, so I need to rewatch
@@OnMyMindEntertainment
The part where the F14 lands on the carrier is identical to the end of the first Hot Shots.
Thanks Sir
😀
5:06 It is a reference to Scientology. Tom Cruise follows Scientology.
Honest Trailers WINS

Top gun is going back to theaters for 2 weeks in Dec
Oh really?!
You should also do top gun how it should have ended
I'll check it out!
The fact that my fiancé (a veteran of the USS Enterprise) refuses to have Danger Zone not play 3 times....DISAPPOINTINGG! Hahahaha
🤣😂🤣
@@OnMyMindEntertainment in our wedding hahaha i just realized that thought wasn't finished hahaha

I wouldn't have been surprised if that happened. Or if Penny's daughter was his or something.
@@OnMyMindEntertainment I was waiting for them to just say something of that nature. I think if Penny's daughter was his then it might make more sense to have them in the film.
@@James-rm7sr that's true. They felt like an unneeded add-on.
Yeah all that is true
But it was entertaining
If you had just waited a little bit longer then you could have gone and watched it at the cinemas because it’s going back there again.
My 9-year-old ranks this as his 4th favorite movie behind No Way Home, The Flash, and Into the Spiderverse.
I personally don’t care that movies are getting more fantasy and Sci Fi based, I prefer it a bit, so this one was cool but that original movie sense so many talk about did nothing for me
I love sci fi, but I am getting a little tired of the nostalgia bait that Hollywood has been churning out. I want more original stories.
…not the dumps…
Can you watch top gun hishe
Spoiler… he says “spoiler” AFTER a spoiler! lol
LOL
Miles better. Haha
