Oh my god, YES!!! Holy shit, do I ever love this video. I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with a math professor in university who was teaching a 100 level course with 400 level methods. And when we tried pointing out to him that we only have him for 3 50 minute classes a week and our text books, that we go by the textbooks, his response was “Well, I prefer it MY way.”
I swear, I screamed into my lap with my hands over my head while others moaned.
And in the final test, someone pointed out that one type of question that had made up 15% of the course was 40% off the test, my friends had to take the chair out of my hands because I think I was ready to chair shot the prick.

I've been through that too. We had this guy that literally just graduated with a PhD in Mathematics, and he was teaching us advanced Calculus with the assumption that everyone "automatically knew". God we all wanted to punch that guy in the throat.
@@loomingzenith9279Well, at the end of the semester at the university I attended, we had these reviews we could do about the professor. So naturally we pointed out his ignorance of the situation and just how much of a garbage math instructor he was. Many people went to a college, took the math course there, and then had the credits transferred up to boost their GPA. I had good marks in all my other classes so it offset the C I got in his class.
And no, I didn’t beat him with the chair. Gods know I wanted to…

Anyone else remember their middle/high school math teacher telling them they need to learn all these formulas and show work to prove you can do it without a calculator since you wont always have one, and now everyone has a calculator in their pocket 24/7.

Relatable. I remember this pain so vividly it sometimes causes me to rethink my whole existence.
True story, I nearly failed Geometry because I refused to show my work. I just felt it redundant to keep repeating theorems and laws. It's clearly a circle, isoceles triangle, parallel lines etc. Why do I need to write a mini essay for every question trying to prove that?

I had one class at one point where it went one step *further*! doing math "Proofs" in which not only did you have to do the work, but also explain in detail what each part was, and some of them were straight forward math questions! I'm in math! not english! why do I need a bloody essay to get the answer correct!?
Literally just got done FAILING a math test today, came home depressed af and saw this video. You have no idea how relatable this is.
Edit:I even practiced with my friends, trying to anticipate and answer questions that they'd likely ask on the paper, the test comes, I see the questions, everything I practiced and got right...just didn't exist on that paper in any shape or form.
Same pre-calc kicked my ass today. I never had trouble in the class and yet all of the material fled my mind day of the test. Remember to study folks, I was too goddamn stubborn :(
