Just a quick video today :) I was shown a way to overcome the height problems I was having so I thought I would share! I hope this helps 😀 🕒TIME STAMPS🕒 00:00 - Intro 00:45 - The Method 01:05 - Experiment 1 01:50 - Disaster! 02:03 - Experiment 2 02:12 - Results 02:40 - Experiment 3 03:10 - Conclusion 03:38 - Outro
I found that im able to do things like this as well but im worried that in the future it might not work like that and my build could just fall apart in an update. what do you think?
you can get higher still. Just do the walls as double and fill the inside with raised ground. You can then start the iron/wood beaming from there and voila.
Just a Quick tip, When i want build really high I Just somehow incorporate a Pine tree to my building. In that way all the blocks touching the tree Will be Green ultil the Very top of the tree
Iron Gates will get you just a tad higher. The difference is ~42M (~21.5 Wood Iron Posts) vs ~46M (~18.5 Gates). I've noticed that it makes no difference whatsoever HOW you build it. What I mean by this is straight 1-sided Wall, vs Triangle vs Square vs Hexagon vs Octogan, etc. The added lateral bracing has no effect. This is in regard to 1 vertical shot attached ONLY to the Ground it's built on, not bracing it to a Pine Tree as example.
You can get even more height (not sure why you’d want that in this build tho) by raising the ground 1x1 as high as possible and planting a pine tree to use as support for the structure. Also use iron beams/gates ofcourse.
I'm at 17 or so 4x2 with iron poles, i think this video might be outdated or 4x2 supports higher limits than 2x1. Will maybe post a video showing my tower when I figure out how high I can actually get it.

i used Iron Gates in my walls seems to work great as long as the first one is on the ground.
I have mine 13 (26 1x1's) high with the 4x2 wall pieces and iron poles with some 2x1 pieces to form the crenels/merlons.
Just ran into this issue myself! Will try out the iron beams thing :D Great tip. Thanks.

Use the iron gates as your foundation for the bricks
You can use iron doors for structural integrity with stone, you should do a height test with stone and iron doors for a youtube video.
i have tried to use the doors and they only work when connected with the ground so its not effective compared to using iron poles like in this vid.
But what is youre ide about the stone pillars? locks like you cant build as hie as whit only walls, whats the point whit the pillars?

Correction: didn't get that high after all! Took several valheim days to break, and I wasn't getting red indicators on the bricks I placed that broke.
i just found out you can build higher walls with Iron doors instead of iron wood poles. Try it out! or why not both lol
I'll definitely give it a go! Thanks 😀
@@BanditBrains yeah people hide iron doors in walls for stability havent seen anyone test them though. makes sense they are tall
@@reo332 Six Addams uses them. You could search him here in YT :)
Imbed Iron Doors in the stone instead. Acts like rebar and they are 4 tall
Nice one, i'll do some testing and try this out :)
how high can you get?
So what you are saying is I should abandon my building of the world trade center?
how can you fly? im tired doing stairs and jumping
its a debug mode, you have to enter commands into the console of the game. Dont be a lazy cheater, keep building stairs :)
@@eYeTrIcK77 xd right, thanks
How about cage walls?
>.> from my understanding Iron doors > Iron beams. I do not know why, they just apparently are.
Also raise the ground first you get a bit more
I do this inside mi pillars and it works great and do not need iron 😁 when you reatch the limit you also can youse iron doors
it would be sick if u made a stone tower and raised the ground in the middle plant a pine a tree there and keep building up 🤔
Height is not problem, fps is bigest problem later
another way to get higher with stone is putting the iron gates inisde the walls
Check my tower out for some ideas. It's my first big build so it's pretty simple.
whell u cheating rigth with fly bye
