I’m stuck between a Audi A3 and a Mercedes A class A180 CDI. I prefer the interior on a Mercedes like the fresh board etc, but the main bit is like the hub above the gearstick. How do I change the screen and knobs etc so it looks more modern and not like a mums car. Thanks.
In my opinion the Audi entertainment system is more modern however I’m sure you can find some replacement screens in the merc to make it more

The hole in the wheel nut covers is designed to pry them off easily. They are not supposed to be pried off. There should be a special tool to geht them off in the trunk where the spare wheel is. =)

If you go to your boot lift the floor and on the left where the tools are there is a little tool to take them centers off

I got it off eBay, you just need to check how wide the widest part of the chrome strip is as you don’t want to leave yourself short on the width ☺️

Yes mate! I’m looking to buy an a3 2017.. I don’t know much about the various different a3’s .. if I get the standard a3 model what spec does the vehicle have to be so I can replace the dash with a virtual cockpit?
Good question! As far as I’m aware I think they are on all mk2 versions of this model a3 but not 100% sure!
@@WillBrownCars thanks mate, I’ll look into it. Also, 1.5 petrol 3 door 2017 or a 1.2 petrol 5 door 2016? I’m 20 my insurance is sky high since it’s going to be my first purchase..
@@uncharted1063 get a lower litre engine and you will get annoyed at 3 door
@@uncharted1063 I have an A3 sport (the spec below s-line) 8V pre-facelift, 1.8litre 180bhp, insurance is pretty average, about 100/month with 2 years ncd
@@uncharted1063 a 3door is just a pain in the ass, personally would never get a 3 door, always going for the 5 doors. get a smaller engine (1.0/1.2/1.4) if you want to save some fuel. but the bigger engines are more powerful ofcourse. All 2014+ a3 have the pop up screen. And while your at it, also look at the mileage on the car. you dont want a petrol car having over 200.000km (idk how many miles that is).

These alloys came standard on mine, I just spray painted them black! 🙌🏼
These are a3 8v stock sline 18" alloys, get the s3 ones tho they are same design with a nice concave on them

I have covers that go on the nuts and can only be removed with the tool provided , makes it harder for someone to steal the wheels

I cannot find the website for the company I used! I think they may have either rebranded or no longer exist! I got mine by typing in Audi logo car mats for Audi A3 8V

My a3 wagon has 15inch wheels. I think it looks best with this size. Any bigger the car looks odd. Sits to high. But my front springs were punched through were they were supposed to be. Had no clue. That with the small wheels ive torn the front bumper off so many times backing out of some places. Fucking irritating and now bumper will never line up properly
That’s so unfortunate! It’s so easily done with lower cars, had about 3 family members to it in the past year!

What are the rims mate?
The rims are the standard ones which come with the Audi S line, I have just sprayed them black instead of grey 🙌🏼

Not much at all, it was more changing the colour of already existing parts of the car!
@@WillBrownCars ah i see i have been driving for about 6 months with a blackbox and without a black box and for my time of driving is 5k to insure on a A3 do you think in 2 years of driving with no claims or crashes i will be able to get a Audi A3 Black Edition with no blackbox for under 2k insurance?
It always so bad for the first year or two, I had to get a black box on my first car too. After a couple of years with no changes or crashes it should drop by a lot! You can also do additional things to drop your insurance like installing a dash cam and reviewing how much mileage you need!
