I can put the wipers in service mode if u turn the ignition on then off and then hold down the wiper stork for 5 seconds

Hold the wiper stalk down for 3 secs it lifts them up and activates service mode so you can change them

I'm literally working long hours to save money for this car.. Hopefully will get it by next year August. I'll be looking at the 1.4 150PS S Tronic version. I literally can't wait to get this one lol it looks so good aswell especially with a few mods here and there.
Sounds good! I have the 125 version which is still pretty quick, can only imagine how quick the 150 would be! Definitely a car you can personalise and make your own!
I hope you got the car man. I've been working 7 days a week since last November to get this car. And I finally got it. I went for the 8v facelift, with a 150ps and i feels quick. Mpg isn't too bad either.

If you're looking to buy a 2013 Etronic model you should be really careful because it's a extremely early version and have majority of the times issues, specifically after 6-8 years.
I loved that car back when I got my first diesel version in 99, cheaper for insurance back in the day but still pretty quick, ive had TT, S5 S7, now have a RS3 I went back to my roots and love it, you young guys won't go wrong with any version of the 3 series you buy, virtual dash is awesome

Mate, after you switch the ignition off hold the wiper stork down for 2 seconds ur wipers will go into the service position.. all audi’s now do this

I got the 1.4tfsi loved it for about 2 weeks after I passed my test then thought ok let’s remap it it’s now running about 170bhp it’s nippy and I love it

You don’t need to open the bonnet to get to the front wipers. Just set them to the service position/turn then on the switch off the ignition
I think you have to flick the wipers on once you turn off the ignition and they should stay in the up position so you can access them to clean or change them, not 100% sure but that’s what I have to do with my golf
That would make sense, since I posted the video I’ve done a little research and found there is a service mode! Just need to learn how to activate it now!

@@WillBrownCars Turn on ignition, then turn off ignition and directly after that, hold the wiper stalk down a few seconds on the stand where you normally push it once to make them wipe 1 time. Or it could be in the MMI as wiper service stand. Also, the bonnet lever is designed that way so it is harder for curious drivers to open it while driving
When you stop the guy and switch off the ignition, if you press down the wiper lever they'll move up and windowscreen and you can move them up and down however you please, you don't have to open the bonnet

Thank you! I appreciate that! Mine does seem to get little scratches and most come out with a bit of T-cut. There are a few which don’t which are unavoidable unfortunately unless you pay for PPF!
Not a bad review! I plan on buying an A3 diesel in a year so. Do a lot of Motorway driving so want something with a little more power and better on fuel compared to my Seat. 29 years old and passed my test last year so insurance won't be too bad.
Alex Bell sounds good! The 1.4 petrol is perfect for me! Powerful enough to get moving and sit comfortably at 70 and then not a killer for insurance! I find the smoothness of the drive so good on motorways!
1.4 tsi after 2013 are great. Or the 2.0 tdi

To do the wipers you need to put the key in the ignition then so the electrics are on then push down on the wiper stalk it will up them into service mode

To change the wipers you need to hold up the wiper button to move them into servis mode.

I don’t know if you’ve still got this car but for the wipers just turn them on so they go up a bit and they’ll fold up without lifting the bonnet

Bonnet release is so you don’t pop it while driving. Wiper has a service mode if you switch ignition on and hold stalk down. Tax is dependent on registration year. My 62 reg 122 1.4 8v is £30 tax. Nice video though

Do you have any problems with it being a 3 door. For example is It to annoying getting friends into the back, would you advise to get a 5 door version?
I personally don’t have any issues with it! But I can see it being frustrating if you have multiple people in and out of the car!

I got it off eBay as it was the cheapest place I could find it, took like two weeks to come I think! They usually have a few up on there so might be worth keeping an eye out🙌🏼

My one doesn’t, if I’m not mistaken I think you need to go for an s3 to get launch 🙌🏼

Brother for window vipers you need go go to mmi and go service settings it'll lift vipers up for you, it's a shit but my prevous Audi,bmw Merc had all the same system

When I bought mine I just checked the measurements, in the end I just had to by the grill and it fit the car perfectly 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The hood lever is designed in such a way that you can't accidently open your hood while driving, that's why Audi requires you to open your door first.
Wipers are hidden under the hood to eliminate wind noise from the wipers themselves going 60-70mph on the motorway. (wipers can be activated to service mode when you want to replace them)

It all depends on your price and what your looking for! If you can afford it, I’d defo go for the Quattro! You can’t beat them!

Sure! If you looking at buying one of these then I would also make sure to defo look for one with low mileage, mine started with 12,000. That way you keep more value when you go to sell!

The S-line has more shaper accent and the s-line logo compared to the normal sports model for example, flat bottom steering wheel.
hi mate im looking at getting a 2009 audi a3 1.6 litre for my first car any idea how much that would cost to insure ?
It all depends on different variable likes job, age, location so it’s hard to say what you’ll pay on insurance, I found it’s not too different to a Ford or Vauxhall just a hundred or so more. Your best bet is do a mock quote on compare the market to see roughly a figure

Yup, it's not a design flaw. It's a deliberate safety feature.
The hood can’t be open when door is close, it’s a security and not a conception default
For the wipers, you have a menu in the mmi called « wipers service mode »

I love the manual version, but it’s does depend what you want out of the far, I’d say I’d you are looking for ease of use the auto is better. I think if your looking at a s3 then a auto is better too.

That's not how you put the front wipers up. You have to put them in service mode and they'll go up and then you can pull them off the windscreen.

I don’t think a young driver should as when they see other boy racers they put it in dynamic and traction off. Then speed and lose control and hurt others and themselves. They should stick to Polos, Corsas and Fiats. German cars are a dangerous weapon for young people.
Interesting take! I would disagree though, for me it all depends on the person driving rather than discussing ages difference. my friendship group are all young with German cars and drive better than a lot of the older generation. Just depends on the individual

I don’t think it makes too much difference! The diesel models have better MPG than the petrols ones.

You cannot open the bonet while door is closed Audi did it on purpose for safety reasons. So that if you forget your window open no one can get into the engine bay

I’ve been with a few different ones! Sometimes you have to go to the ones not on comparison websites. For me, some good ones have been Hastings, Admiral, and Adrian flux

My one doesn’t, it has the button for it but not the upgrade. Some models do have it though it just depends if the first owner bought this upgrade when buying the car.

It all depends on your budget! If you can easily afford is then it’s a great car which hasn’t got too much power but is still nippy, as well as being decent on the MPG 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I would go the 1.4 if it’s your first car as it will save you a lot on insurance! But it’s ultimately down to your preference!

Does this car as it’s SLine have a sports mode
It’s doesn’t have a sport button but it has what Audi call “Dynamic mode” which is essential the sportiest mode, hope that helps ☺️
How many mileage have you got on this car mate?
At the moment around 21000, I bought it at just under 12,000🙌🏼

It’s good tbh, it feels really smooth to drive however the road noise is loud compared to other cars! 🙌🏼

However mine being a 5 door will of definitely added some weight so the acceleration would probably be fairly close

Yeah it is! There is a way to push the wipers up using the service mode! I didn’t know anything about it until recently!
Not being able to open the bonnet when the door is closed isn’t a design flaw, it’s a safety feature.
If you happened to be driving at speed on the motorway or anywhere and you accidentally pulled it or caught it somehow your bonnet may fly up and obscure your view completely leading you to possibly crash and it could even be ripped out of its hinges if you’re doing a lot of speed and it flies up. Not a good idea on the motorway at 70mph

What’s it like on fuel mate
In efficiency it get 50+ mpg and in sport around 47mpg, I think it’s decent!
My road tax is £0 😳 I would not pay £125 😂

Where do you live for your insurance to be that low
It’s only a 1.4 litre and I have been driving for 3 years. I work in insurance and a lot of the pricing is the percentage of people that crash the cars for your age and gender hense why it costs me more to insure a 1.4 corsa for some reason 😂

No design flaw. Seems like a logical idea. Germans are all about health and safety. When you drive you have doors closed so its probably to stop the bonnet opening whilst youre driving?
