I'm going to sound like a big old homer by saying this but it blows my mind that an actual Major League Baseball player spends part of his time making UA-cam videos. You rock! P.S. On a completely unrelated note, I would really like to ask you what you think about the Mets' 2nd baseman Jeff McNeil. He blew everyone away this past 2018 season with his bat and glove. I am shocked that there are serious rumors the Mets are looking to trade him for a relief pitcher. I don't care that the Mets traded for Cano. McNeil is a very good player and I really believe he will be in the Major Leagues contributing greatly over the next 10 to 15 years. Am I an idiot for thinking the Mets should keep him? Thanks and please keep up the great videos. :)
I agree. They should keep him as their everyday second baseman this year. McNeil was a surprise asset for the Mets when he came up, always putting the ball in play and consequently having many multiple hit games and sparking rallies. MLB needs more players like that since the strikeouts have been excessive for a long time.
I remember watching both of you play with Lake Elsinore when the two Vandy boys were on that team--Mike Baxter and Matt Buschmann. Hopefully there will be MILB baseball again in 2021.
How bout that, my hit and pitching gurus are buds, the only 2 guys on the internet I watch are neighbors? That is really cool, a little crazy but yeah! Great video, I'm a go try that sinker, I have a decent 2 seem that goes down but like he said out, and if it don't break late they usually take a ball, drives me crazy! Why can I not throw strikes with my 2 seem anymore, it moves to much if you can believe that, my 4 seem is straight as can be, I miss everything to righties down and away, ( lefty )I need to get the right pitch, I always thought I didn't throw hard enough to throw a sinker, 60 yrs young here and still playing baseball, my fastball was recently clocked at a whopping 78 MPH, my curve is around 57 -60 what should the speed difference be? . heh, I feel like it's faster but that is what it was clocked at last fall, I can make it move though, but if it's not strikes It is an exorcise in futility, Go pro if you see this what do you think about the power drive pitching mound that is being sold?
So a forkball does have a knuckle 😂 people say I have a nasty Forkball and I don’t even have a proper fastball I just threw a ball like that one day and have been since
Good stuff.i just had an arm go 8n the 25th round. He slipped because of his Commitment to Miami was projected to go in the 2nd or 3rd. I have a highly touted Lefty arm for 2020..I wanna introduce the sinker for..but hes not over powering 86/87 HS kid..will the sinker be effective with that type of velo?
My opinion doesn’t mean much, but I definitely think it would be effective. If he’s a softer-throwing pitcher, having a pitch with a lot of movement will really help him avoid getting squared up.
you dont need to if you have a riseball. if you throw from below exactly horizontal then you can throw a riseball which is harder for a baseball player to hit as it is a different release point, movement and is going the opposite way of the swing
Lyric Montoya 2 seam, 4 seam, curve, slider, sinker, cutter... I communicate with my catcher and trade out pitches cuz obviously they can’t call a 6 lmao
Rockies13FanGaming That’s a really good rotation. It’s smart to have both fastballs. I might add a two seem fastball. But it really dipends on how this next season goes.
Rockies13FanGaming I only don’t throw a curve because My coaches won’t let me. My curve is nasty but my fastball is 78mph and I’m only 12. So they’re trying to keep me from hurting my arm.
John Madden of baseball lol. "Now the batter swings and misses it's a strike" "since the fielder catches the ball before hitting the ground it's an out"
(i am not a pitcher but practice still) my top 3 pitches other than fastballs are Cutter, Sinker and Slider. Cutter i can throw to look like a fastball but move outside as a lot of guys at my age can pull the inside pitchers for home runs but ground out on outside pitches, and it would get me the groundouts. the Sinker is the same as yours, really love that one and easy to throw. and the slider is something just for fun and mess around with it a bit. i hope to pitch a bit more in training as i normally catch as i am a catcher and outfielder but i do love to pitch when i get the chance in training
My Buddies smack talking coming from football and soccer and kept saying how hard can it be to hit a baseball . As a pitcher I’m doing so much research to shut them up at the park this Sunday and try to throw them off with some breaking balls lol
fork balls are awesome. same armspeed and angle as your fastball, plus you can cut them in and out if you pronate or supinate. But you have to have large hands to throw it.
I really hate people explaining with only a few words. They don't show how to throw breaking balls. Anyone can do that with words. All they need is a tongue and parlance. Show us how to do it in person.
CBT 816, have pretty much the same movement with how he throws it. because of his low arm angle he calls it a slider as normally curveballs you come more over the top, and sliders are side arm, but because he likes more down movement he throws it similar to the curveball. they do the same thing so it doesnt matter
Well, I’ll tell you one thing...if UA-cam doesn’t work out, these 2 guys have a future in modeling. 🔥🔥🔥😍🤣
YouGoProBeef & Handsomelli :D
UhtttuhkkeeUhnuhlee 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's awesome seeing my 2 favorite MLB UA-camrs doing a calibration together
As an avid follower of cricket ur seam position and and your grip intrigues me , cheers i hope one day usa can also play cricket.
Great job Coach Madden! Great talk!
Thanks Kevin!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
My two favorite and go to for baseball instructional

Hey coach do you put pressure on the on any fingers on the sinker
Some will put a bit more on the index finger. I would mess around with pressure and see what it does to the ball. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
So a forkball does have a knuckle 😂 people say I have a nasty Forkball and I don’t even have a proper fastball I just threw a ball like that one day and have been since
Awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Antonelli Baseball yeah np u are amazing
Gripped it and ripped it - well alright then
I don’t even play baseball but that pitches position is the most important position ever!
Great video!
Can you please do a video on footwork for lefty middle infielders for fielding groundballs?
Lefty’s won’t play middle infield
Stick to pitching and outfield not trying to be rude
Can someone help me I’m a straight up and down so is it going to be still easy to do so will I destroy my wrist trying to do it

Great info guys, thanks.

Would you recommend throwing a slurve
Next...how to throw a spitball 😁
Haha maybe! Thanks for watching!!!
Eli Augustine 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Eli Augustine my brother threw that for a really long time ... And never got caught😂😂
Great Video💯✍🏾
Ok but uh, how do you throw these from a submarine release?
Haha guess we will need to make another video! Thanks for watching!!!
you dont need to if you have a riseball. if you throw from below exactly horizontal then you can throw a riseball which is harder for a baseball player to hit as it is a different release point, movement and is going the opposite way of the swing
My lineup is Four seam fast ball, sinker, slider, knuckle ball. what about you guys?
Lyric Montoya 2 seam, 4 seam, curve, slider, sinker, cutter... I communicate with my catcher and trade out pitches cuz obviously they can’t call a 6 lmao

Lyric Montoya wow! 12 and 70 mph!! I’m 15 and pump 85 max
Stewart Griffin, im not a pitcher but what i can throw is: Four-seam, Cutter, Sinker, Rise-ball (from submarine arm angle)
Show some pitches for demo?
Is a slider save for any age?
John Madden of baseball lol. "Now the batter swings and misses it's a strike" "since the fielder catches the ball before hitting the ground it's an out"

Why don’t you throw the pitches in the video
Maybe next time! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Can you dedicate a video to how to break in a glove right because it is a common thing for people to mess up on how to do it and I do too
I have a few videos on that if you can find them in our playlist. Thanks for watching our stuff and commenting!
Ok thanks
Watching this 30 minutes before my game
Lol every one has done this
So you throw the slider like a curveball?
His slider sure looks like a curveball to me.
Are you supposed to flick your wrist for the sinker?
C6 Dragon, i dont think so. because you are pronating as you are releasing the ball it would be quite difficult to
My Buddies smack talking coming from football and soccer and kept saying how hard can it be to hit a baseball . As a pitcher I’m doing so much research to shut them up at the park this Sunday and try to throw them off with some breaking balls lol
what i do is i hold it 2 seem and snap my wrist a lot to make it sink
Very cool!
Can a kid throw these?
knuckle screwball?
The fact he could throw a forkball is sick
fork balls are awesome. same armspeed and angle as your fastball, plus you can cut them in and out if you pronate or supinate. But you have to have large hands to throw it.
nice video
Thanks!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Forearm pronated Sinker -Good
Forearm pronated Slider bad.
You are aware that a Slider can be thrown forearm pronated for safe mechanics?
Can u throw the pitch for us
We have some more coming! Thank you for watching our vids and commenting!!
Wow
That's church right there coaches!!!💯👊🔥
i didn't know john madden plays baseball
John Madden - not that one!

Thats not John Madden....thats Brad Penny!😂😂😂
Throw it let’s see it
That slider looks an awful lot like a curveball.
I really hate people explaining with only a few words. They don't show how to throw breaking balls. Anyone can do that with words. All they need is a tongue and parlance. Show us how to do it in person.
Ha ve yo stupicball
Scrub
Thanks Thomas! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Antonelli Baseball I don’t think you know what a scrub us
Carrie Moorby I know what a scrub is, but I really don’t care. Thanks again!!!
thats a curve not a slider
