Great stuff. I threw the same ForkBall in college but would sometimes use my thumb to get more knuckle effect and less tumble. I didn't think it was hard on my arm but definitely hard on my fingers. If I threw it too much I'd start to get the "tingle" to remind me to lay off. Thats when things started to click again, and so I started to pitch as successful again. Unfortunately, due to unfortunate experiences (not injuries, personal/team related) I'm not playing again, but my brother is trying to pitch in baseball and I'm trying to teach him the same things but he won't listen, because he tries to throw fast but he can't because he doesn't have the accuracy and I'm telling him to just slow down and work his way up to those speeds if he really does want to throw fast. Sorry for the novel in the comment section.
Doesn't really make sense mid 80 fastball with a 80 mph 12-6 curve ? Ur 12-6 curve should not be at the velocity of a pitcher who throws mid to high 90s on a 2 seam, maybe ur curve is more of a sinker idk but doesn't sound like u would be getting curve at that velocity with any depth or enough break

I've used your vids to teach my stepson how to throw several different pitches. While he doesn't really enjoy pitching during a game, he has matered enough pitches to hold his own on the mound in relief. At 14, he has a wicked 12-6 curve. Thanks I've always tried to learn how to throw a sinker, but up till now couldn't find any good info , I'm 57 I have been pitching in the msbl l for about 20 years Now that I'm older I've lost a few mph on my 2 seem that always just had natural movement and fell out of the zone to nighties. I'm a lefty, so I need a new pitch. I have always just lived on 3 pitches a fastball 4 or 2 seems depending whether I was ahead or not, a slurve because I never really threw hard enough to throw a slider maybe 85 at one time but I'm probably at about 70 or so now on a good day. more like 62 I always threw a back door curve and my out pitch was a screwball that my dad taught me when I was 19 or so. that pitch has always fooled right handers never threw it to lefties. I have always wanted to throw a sinker. I will work on throwing it like you show here. I need a new pitch. On my curve I didn't pronate when I throw it. I simply hold the baseball like you do on your slider and hold it like a football side to side and just throw it. That has saved my arm and for me gives it a late break. I am 1. fastball 4 or 2 up to me, 2 curve. 3 screwgy/change very effective. now maybe I can add a sinker. Thanks!
thank you so much!!!! With these pitches ive thrown two strait complete games (2-0) and one of them was a perfect game!!!!!!!!! The slider struck out almost everyone i faced
I was a catcher. But i did pitch a couple games. 1.2seam 2.slurve (I griped liked a slider, but threw like a curve) 3. Cutter (just moved my index finger over to go flush with my middle finger on a 2seam grip. Had no idea it was a cutter at the time, but it worked.)
Thanks Mark... I coach a small community team and when we join tournaments we always run into AAU teams playing below their division “ Trophy Hunters”...at 11u the kids want to throw curve balls.. 2&4 seam just don’t cut it anymore so I’m using the cutter, slider, sinker and change up
Glad I found this video. I subscribed quickly; you definitely know what you're talking about and it's cool to hear you talk the game. I only made it to D2 level and played bush league for several years after that. 19 years later I'm about to roll into a wood bat mens league. I'm pretty excited about playing again. Sidenote: I always loved throwing the splitter for bp but in game situations I sent it down range with a hope and a prayer. Ha! Awesome pitch when it works but when it doesn't it's a freakin' grapefruit. Looking forward to watching more of your videos brother.
I just started trying to learn to pitch because one of my daughters is taking up baseball. Looks like I'm gonna need to watch these videos a lot. Good job with the lessons, though. You really help me understand the pitches.
1) 4 seam FB i hit both sides of the plate well (lefty 35% , Righty 20%) 86-88 MPH 2) 2 seam FB I try to get sink on lefty. for righty i freeze them inside the plate or it tail away off the plate (lefty 10%, Righty 40%) 84-87 MPH 3) 12-6 Curveball Freezes Everybody and i can land it in on the plate. ( Lefty 15%, righty 20%) 68-73 MPH 4) Slider get lefty reaching off the plate, righty its a backdoor but if they reach out they can hit it ( Lefty 30%, Righty 5%) 78-81 MPH 5) ForkBall - Deadly good just goes anywhere on the plate like a knuckle ball. ( Lefty 10%, Righty 5%) 72-75 MPH I am left handed pitcher
1. Fastball 2. Cutter 3. Circle change 4. Splitter 5. Sinker 6. Curveball 7. Knuckleball and I'm working on a slider. Haven't used it in a game yet but I have thrown everything else. Btw I'm loving the forkball idea!
6'5 Lefty from Wisconsin 18yrs old 1. Circle change: cirlce change grips that i throw with the circle on top the entire time no pronation, just straight off the circle. Has some cut but drop out. 2. 4-seam early in the count and 2-seam down in away late in the count. 3. Curve: recently figured out how to throw still devolping but works.
fastball and knuckleball, I wasn't much of a pitcher. Started out as a 2b/Ss and leadoff hitter, as I got older and bigger became a 3b who hit 3rd or 5th. Played in college for 2 seasons then joined army and played a little sandlot in Germany against other army teams . Thanks for video, trying to teach my 16 year old son new pitches before American Legion season starts
Awesome info, nice clarification of the pitches and what to expect. I play in an adult league and have found my fork ball to really keep batters guessing and leads to a lot of mishits. Thank you for your awesome vids!
When I pitched (which wasn't often) I used a 4 seam, a slider, a 12-6 and a cutter mainly. It was a LONG time ago, but this vid brought back some memories. :) Nice stuff man.
No, not any more. Too old :) Only ever played in Australia. Never a Pro or anything. Enthusiastic amateur. Was more a Catcher and Right Fielder. But occasionally pitched.
Love all your videos! Taught my 11 year old how to throw your sinker and he has great control with it. He has a great fastball and also gets good drop with his circle change up. I want to teach him your slurve next, but I want to give him another year or two to mature a little more. I’d give anything for you to live close by and take him under your wing. He has very similar arm movement to yours.
I pitched back in the 80's (Not in the Majors). My best pitch was the fork ball or sinker. Those were the pitches I throw most of the time. My next best pitch was a curve, then the knuckle ball. The pitch I seldom used was slider.
im on my grandmas computer i am 12 years old and every since i saw this video i learned how to throw forkball slider sinker and all kinds of other balls thank you so much
Hey man your description in the pull down is great. That paragraph alone is good enough to teach. Would love to sit around and drink beer and talk baseball with you man. Thanks alot!
On my circle Change , when I release it , it comes off my ring finger. however, I have been told it should be coming off my pinki . Which one is right ?
Fine line between a sinker and a two-seam fastball. In my younger days, what we called a sinker, or a drop ball, was what they now call a 12-to-6 curve.
I can throw almost any pitch in the book and I throw my sinker the way you do. My pitches in order but all of them are good and can be nasty at times. Sinker, splitfinger, 4 seam fastball, 2 seam fastball, forkball, curveball, 12-6 curveball, changeup, slider, splitfinger changeup, eephus, gyroball, and the circle changeup, The only ones that i cannot throw are the screwball and the knuckleball
I love all your videos, thank you for all you do. I recently had elbow surgery and I now have trouble throwing overhand. Now I'm trying to come back as a sidearm pitcher. could you please make a video about sidearm pitching mechanics and grips if possible? Thank you!
+TNL zombiepoopshark no you fake rappin don't lie to me I'll destroy your past and recreate your future you aren't ready for these lifestyles pal just come prepared next time you consider stepping up to George when your curious
I pitched effectively with just a 2 seam, curveball, and a reach back 4 seam that I threw harder than my 2 seam. 2 seam to paint the corners, curveball to freeze the hitter or bounce it for a K, and a elevated 4 seamer. I found sometimes less is more when it comes to pitching.
I can throw a slider, curve/ breaking ball, I have 3 versions , both change- ups, a knuckle, sinker and lastly a fastball 2 and 4 seam. I am only 13 is it good that I know how to throw all of these. My most accurate is the 2 seam and my curve.
Its always good to know things but it's what you do with them that makes the difference. For example if you're throwing them too much, that could be bad.
I suck at pitching but I pitch mostly to 10 to 12 year olds, so they think I'm great. I like the knuckleball, 4 seamer, changeup, cutter. Great vid! Checking out your playlist. Thanks for posting.
I developed the screw ball in the 70s without knowing what it was. It came natural to me when I was playing in the military at 19 year old. Then I did a nasty cutter. I'm left handed and the cutter rised to my left. My fast Ball kind of sank because I couldn't get it over 85mph. I'm mad because I got car jacked by some CRIMINALS and got shot in my Left arm. Now I can't pitch at all. But I'm reliving my era by watching videos of pitcher like you... Thank you brother, you're awesome 😊😊
@@nightingale-d3e Wow, I'm amazed about your concerns, no it will never be as it once was. I have about two more years of recovery, but will never be able to throw a ball, I lost most of my strength, I can't even open up a beer much less pitch. But that's ok, God has given me the strength to accept my fate and I'm now ok with it. We humans learn to accept what life deals to us. Now, I'm slowly writing about my story and hopefully one day I'll have a book out about how to conquer against all odds... Thank you so very much for your consideration and rest assured that we will triumph. You in all of what you do. And the rest of us, in what God has in store for us. Many blessings to you and yours !!
Thx that lesson helped a lot I'm on a phantom team and all I knew how to throw was a fast ball I'm trying to learn all three of these pitches im one of the 3 main pitchers on the team so I need to learn new pitches
1. 4seam 2. Forkball 3. Silder I agree with you about the difficulty of control forkball... It sometimes works, but other times...I don't want to hit the batter's head..
I'm ranking my best to worst in regards to accuracy and movement. I'm a sophomore in college and I don't pitch ridiculously fast, but I have a lot of movement and accuracy on my pitches 1) breaking ball (able to drop shoulder to shin) 2)slider 3)change up 4)curve 5)fastball 6)knuckle ball 7)submarine/shoelace pitch
+YouGoPro haha well we definitely had to get creative. We've been friends since preschool which also helps with the pitcher/catcher chemestry. But anyway he usually uses these signals: index finer= fastball index+middle= change up index+middle+ring finger=curve ball index+middle+ring finger+pinky=slider all five fingers= breaking ball "bear claw"=knuckle ball index finger+pinky finger=submarine pitch He also tapes his index and pinky finger to make it a little easier to see. When I first started pitching I only had 3 pitches but I've been working really hard to make every pitch accurate, consistent, and have distinct movement for each type of pitch
+BLueFeaTHeRedOliVeS have you ever seen these? I bet he'd love them...and so would you! ugoprobaseball.com/product/game-signs-stickers-catchers-fingernails/
1. Curve ball 12-6 2. 4-seam fastball 3. Split finger fast ball (totally different grip as a split finger or a fork ball). I have a depth of the whole strikezone 4. Hard slider ( 5 MPH slower with my 4-seamer but with side and depth movements 5. 2 seamer. Only on right handers inside pitch
Great video my 10 year old has a great arm so we are trying to learn some new pitches. He has the same arm angle as you. So right now he throws a 2 seam and working on a change but that sinker could well be a great out pitch for him. Thanks for the info
Oh and there are 30 different pitches? Wow I had no idea there were that many. When I was a kid I used to make up my own and experiment with different crazy grips/arm angles/spin ext. I could throw fairly hard back then but I had no idea where it was going. Lol yeah my accuracy was not great
I like to throw a japan version of the two-seamer and really is a nasty pitch. I like the sinker a lot because i feel i got many forms to throw it. Nice video and greetings from Dominican Republic.
Yes... That is exactly how i throw my fork ball... Even before i saw this video. Now mine is very effective because i have HUGE hands for a 14 year old. Its a very cool pitch. My pitches Fastball Curve Forkball. All i like to throw
I like your forkball grip I can see that it might have a 4-6 inch drop. I understand the forkball control thing 80% of the time I dont hit my spot with the forkball because of the drop distance I have. The forkball messed my arm up real bad in my junior year and I couldn't even throw the ball 20 feet away from me for 4 months because it gave me the craziest tendinitis. My pitches From best to worst: fastball splitter forkball slider
1. fastball (4 seam) 2. circle change 3. sinker (2 seam). All thrown with same arm speed and mechanics. Discovered I have some natural pronation that gives me some movement on all three.
Right now i changed my armslot to sidearm because the only place i can practice my pitches is in my basement (long basement kinda tall but i diddnt wanna hit any vents or anything) and im still figuring out pitches that work for me and so far im really liking the forkball and knuckle curve (kinda acts like a slider sometimes because of the armslot) but i need a fastball so im gonna see about incorporating a sinker into my repertoire because of how low i throw. ive also got a pitch i really dont know how to describe. i put my pinky at the middle of the horseshoe, keep my ring and middle fingers together and put the next to the runway for grip and i hold on to the other side of the runway with my thumb, looks like a slurve.
Stoney Balogna I say focused more on throwing side arm if u can as a hitter it's hard to track ball less stress on ur arm & ur more likely to get picked up by a team
I don't throw too hard so my main fastball I use is a 2 seam/sinker. then I have a sweeping knuckle curve and a changeup. I used to throw sliders but I found the curve more effective vs lefties and righties but my slider was only good for the righties.
Very well put great job explaining why the pitches do what they do if you get a good understanding of the physics you can throw 3 different pitches with a 2 seam grip I'm a righty and my best pitch was a sinker to other righties inside and more of a 2 seam/running fastball more lateral movement away to lefties (same grip) never needed a 4 seam(not that I didn't throw on occasion) complimented by my circle change looks and moves just like the sinker 10 mph slower it got more swing and misses while the sinker provoked ground balls. A hard knuckle curve with nearly vertical or 12-6 plane of break since I throw high 3/4 for my arm slot and last a cut fastball that I would throw harder than my sinker/2seam mostly but on occasion tighten my grip and snap my wrist a bit for mor lateral movement like a slider. In my opinion sliders an cutter's are siblings just like 2 seam and sinkers. Natural release point grips hand size and arm slots makes everyone's unique . I played around with how tight I grip my curve and throw a big loopy slow Barry Zito curve too. With practice you throw your usual pitches with a little more or less pressure or more follow through your 3 pitches can look like 10. Very simple and effective approach especially if yours going through the lineup for the 2nd or 3rd time since I didn't throw especially hard at all I had to keep the hitters unbalanced another way and sinkers get the quick groundball out to keep pitch count low and batters from seeing all your tools and learning tendencies. Attack the zone down and enjoy those 3 pitch innings and recover base hits with double plays strikeouts are overrated and inflate your pitch count
I'm a side arm thrower and feel like I mastered the sinker it's always at the bottom of the box usually ends up as a strike. It's a great ball to throw when it's a full count

You a BEAST!
I was a catcher. But i did pitch a couple games.
1.2seam
2.slurve (I griped liked a slider, but threw like a curve)
3. Cutter (just moved my index finger over to go flush with my middle finger on a 2seam grip. Had no idea it was a cutter at the time, but it worked.)
Nice man. Do you still play?
Same
Thanks Mark...
Hahaha awesome to hear! Good luck this season! I’ve been getting “the itch” myself!
I just started trying to learn to pitch because one of my daughters is taking up baseball. Looks like I'm gonna need to watch these videos a lot. Good job with the lessons, though. You really help me understand the pitches.

And I'm a left handed pitcher
Free college for you
I have 4-Seam 2-Seam and change up and left handed but I got awhile
1) 4 seam FB i hit both sides of the plate well (lefty 35% , Righty 20%) 86-88 MPH
2) 2 seam FB I try to get sink on lefty. for righty i freeze them inside the plate or it tail away off the plate (lefty 10%, Righty 40%) 84-87 MPH
3) 12-6 Curveball Freezes Everybody and i can land it in on the plate. ( Lefty 15%, righty 20%) 68-73 MPH
4) Slider get lefty reaching off the plate, righty its a backdoor but if they reach out they can hit it ( Lefty 30%, Righty 5%) 78-81 MPH
5) ForkBall - Deadly good just goes anywhere on the plate like a knuckle ball. ( Lefty 10%, Righty 5%) 72-75 MPH
I am left handed pitcher

Thank for the tips I'mma try to use these in my pitching when I play a baseball game in little leagues
If your gonna do it for little league you’re gonna kill you arm
@@mimiccookiez3703 sinker doesn’t hurt your arm
@@drewlynch317 the other ones do and sometimes yea I’m just trying to help them they’re still young
When I pitched (which wasn't often) I used a 4 seam, a slider, a 12-6 and a cutter mainly. It was a LONG time ago, but this vid brought back some memories. :) Nice stuff man.
+RickFortune Do you still play?
No, not any more. Too old :) Only ever played in Australia. Never a Pro or anything. Enthusiastic amateur. Was more a Catcher and Right Fielder. But occasionally pitched.
1. Knuckleball
2. 4 seamer
3. Sinker
4. Forkball
That’s from best to worst
Love all your videos! Taught my 11 year old how to throw your sinker and he has great control with it. He has a great fastball and also gets good drop with his circle change up. I want to teach him your slurve next, but I want to give him another year or two to mature a little more. I’d give anything for you to live close by and take him under your wing. He has very similar arm movement to yours.
thank you for making this video my slider and sinker wouldn't work right and i could never figure out why
+Travis “Rock” George you're welcome
I pitched back in the 80's (Not in the Majors). My best pitch was the fork ball or sinker. Those were the pitches I throw most of the time. My next best pitch was a curve, then the knuckle ball. The pitch I seldom used was slider.
I play highschool baseball and I am a sophomore
I throw:
1) 4 SFB
2) 2 SFB
3) Circle Change
4) Curveball
5) Knuckleball
im on my grandmas computer i am 12 years old and every since i saw this video i learned how to throw forkball slider sinker and all kinds of other balls thank you so much
Stick with the fb and change
1: 4 seam
2: 2 seam
3: curve
4: circle change
5: sinker
I was wondering how you get different movement from a two seam and sinker? I've noticed the grips are extremely similar if not the same.
My two seam drops to the side, and my sinker just drops right down.
if your sinker drops straight down, then thats just gravity at its finest
+Spencer Munch Or a 12-6 curveball at its finest
no at that age youre basically just throwing with little power so its just lobbed in there
I was able to throw a slider and a sinker and made my pitching so much more affective thanks

In my younger days, what we called a sinker, or a drop ball, was what they now call a 12-to-6 curve.
thanks !! from argentina!
yw cool
I can throw almost any pitch in the book and I throw my sinker the way you do. My pitches in order but all of them are good and can be nasty at times. Sinker, splitfinger, 4 seam fastball, 2 seam fastball, forkball, curveball, 12-6 curveball, changeup, slider, splitfinger changeup, eephus, gyroball, and the circle changeup, The only ones that i cannot throw are the screwball and the knuckleball
Geeeez that's a lot
Plus, in a game there was a submariner that looked like his curve could break over a foot
Wow!
I love all your videos, thank you for all you do. I recently had elbow surgery and I now have trouble throwing overhand. Now I'm trying to come back as a sidearm pitcher. could you please make a video about sidearm pitching mechanics and grips if possible? Thank you!
1.4seam/90mph
2.knuckle ball 70mph
3.changeup 85 mph

Knuckle ball 70 mph? Damn
The fastest knuckle ball in the world is 75 mph by R.A. Dicky so I think you are lying
Why is your curveball not faster than your knuckleball 😂😂

LOL Nice Tutorial Thanks!! But i love when you say *depth*
Depth! Do I have lisp or something?
NO! you just put alot of emphasis on it LOL
YouGoPro
no lisp.
DEPPPTTTHHH!! LOL
NASTY!!!
Thanks, I really appreciate the video. I'm trying to get some breaking pitches for next baseball season. Hopefully I can get these down!
YouGoPro thanks im pitching right now. hope it works!
Could you please go in depth into pitches but with lefties?
Should 14 year olds throw the sinker? Or is it bad for the arm?
+Colin Kelly its fine for ur arm
Awesome,my son pitches for his high school team and wants to learn a few more pitches for this upcoming season..thx for tips!
you're welcome
I can throw a slider, curve/ breaking ball, I have 3 versions , both change- ups, a knuckle, sinker and lastly a fastball 2 and 4 seam. I am only 13 is it good that I know how to throw all of these. My most accurate is the 2 seam and my curve.
Its always good to know things but it's what you do with them that makes the difference. For example if you're throwing them too much, that could be bad.
Wow ur lucky, I'm barley starting baseball but I know how to throw a 4seam and a sinker, that's all 😪
Adrian Moralez im also starting but i only know a 4seam though and im in highschool
Doesn't matter if you know how to throw them, the question is do you throw strikes
yeah it is good to lie
I suck at pitching but I pitch mostly to 10 to 12 year olds, so they think I'm great. I like the knuckleball, 4 seamer, changeup, cutter. Great vid! Checking out your playlist. Thanks for posting.

Watched this video numerous times because of the valuable information. Thanks!
Pitches I can throw dirt ball bounces 2 feet in front of the plate really fucks up batters.
It's a good one
I developed the screw ball in the 70s without knowing what it was. It came natural to me when I was playing in the military at 19 year old. Then I did a nasty cutter. I'm left handed and the cutter rised to my left. My fast Ball kind of sank because I couldn't get it over 85mph.
I'm mad because I got car jacked by some CRIMINALS and got shot in my Left arm. Now I can't pitch at all. But I'm reliving my era by watching videos of pitcher like you... Thank you brother, you're awesome 😊😊
Is your arm healed?
@@nightingale-d3e
Wow, I'm amazed about your concerns, no it will never be as it once was.

Nice video. I'm going to work on the sinker. My best pitch: knuckle curve. I also throw: 2 seam; 4 seam; and circle change.
Let me know how it goes...
whar your name?
Brutal!!!!!!
What's brutal?
+YouGoPro I meant Great, in my conuntry we say brutal when you see something that is very cool jejeje
Thx that lesson helped a lot
I'm on a phantom team and all I knew how to throw was a fast ball I'm trying to learn all three of these pitches im one of the 3 main pitchers on the team so I need to learn new pitches
😃⚾️
Hey I'm eleven years old and I throw a sinker in the majors because I am in the majors
🙌
Lols
What does dat mean
LIsa McKinney he’s saying he throws the sinker cuz it’s his best pitches and he plays in the highest youth level
the slider grip/wrist action is exactly how i throw my curve down to the fingers!! i guess ive been throwing a slider
my two seam fastball goes towards my opposite arm
That's more of a cutter, not a 2 seam, in my definition
1. 4seam
2. Forkball
3. Silder
I agree with you about the difficulty of control forkball...
It sometimes works, but other times...I don't want to hit the batter's head..
You saved me my boyfriend plays
+Cora Caye huh?
So glad I found this channel. I'm a much better little league parent now.
The sinker was really effective!
I made my friend really mad

Thanks for the instruction, we love your videos! Hope you have more on the way!
I tried to throw a forkball, it never made it to the plate
hmmmmm
I’m wondering if this was supposed to be a joke or not
Great. You can now honestly tell everyone that you once thew an un-hitable forkball.
Teaching my 9 year old to pitch now. Thanks for the tips we will try these next time we practice.
I’m 11. If I can lean to throw these... omg I this is going to be *NASTY*
my top pitches from best to worst is 1. 4-seam fastball 2. Knuckle curve.3. Circle Change
I'm ranking my best to worst in regards to accuracy and movement. I'm a sophomore in college and I don't pitch ridiculously fast, but I have a lot of movement and accuracy on my pitches
1) breaking ball (able to drop shoulder to shin)
2)slider
3)change up
4)curve
5)fastball
6)knuckle ball
7)submarine/shoelace pitch
+BLueFeaTHeRedOliVeS how the hell does your catcher give you signs for all these pitches?
+YouGoPro haha well we definitely had to get creative. We've been friends since preschool which also helps with the pitcher/catcher chemestry. But anyway he usually uses these signals:
index finer= fastball
index+middle= change up
index+middle+ring finger=curve ball
index+middle+ring finger+pinky=slider
all five fingers= breaking ball
"bear claw"=knuckle ball
index finger+pinky finger=submarine pitch
He also tapes his index and pinky finger to make it a little easier to see.
+YouGoPro that would make signs a whole lot easier to differentiate. thanks a bunch!
Thanks, for these very useful tips greetings from Margarita island, Venezuela.
+tavinmotion atomic Margaritaville! You're welcome! and thanks!
1. Curve ball 12-6
2. 4-seam fastball
3. Split finger fast ball (totally different grip as a split finger or a fork ball). I have a depth of the whole strikezone
4. Hard slider ( 5 MPH slower with my 4-seamer but with side and depth movements
5. 2 seamer. Only on right handers inside pitch
i am an outfielder going into 9th,but I want to start pitching a little
i know
4seam
2seam
curveball
and now these!
Great video my 10 year old has a great arm so we are trying to learn some new pitches. He has the same arm angle as you. So right now he throws a 2 seam and working on a change but that sinker could well be a great out pitch for him. Thanks for the info
Thanks ! I'll be teaching my nephew this... when the time comes... looking forward to it!
Man you helpt me so much my sinker is so much better now thank you
+TheRealPattymo Awesome man! Have you seen this? baseballtrainingprograms.com/advanced-sinker-slider-training-discount/
Love your videos man. One thing that can be confusing to me is I’m a lefty and I have to like look at it backwards. If that makes any sense lol.
What is the Japan version of a 2 seamer?
YouGoPro I think is the gyroball or the shuuto. The thing is i can throw it. e.e
Yes... That is exactly how i throw my fork ball... Even before i saw this video. Now mine is very effective because i have HUGE hands for a 14 year old. Its a very cool pitch.
My pitches
Fastball
Curve
Forkball.
All i like to throw

Played D1 & was a catcher. The two seam (or) sinker with a slider combo is still so nasty to me. Throw in a change up = magic.

6. SplitFinger
7. Sinker

Could you make a video showing how to throw the sinker with a higher arm slot? Thanks!
Same thing but higher arm slot and lower wrist angle.
My pitches From best to worst:
fastball
splitter
forkball
slider
1. Knuckleball
2. Fastball
3. Curve
Great instructional, btw. You obviously know your stuff.
same its tje best way to work
This was really helpful, and really clear. Thanks, going to try it out.
Great! I'm glad it helps. Thanks.
1. fastball (4 seam) 2. circle change 3. sinker (2 seam). All thrown with same arm speed and mechanics. Discovered I have some natural pronation that gives me some movement on all three.
Very niiiiice!!!!!
1. 2 Seam Fastball - 65ish mph
2. Cutter - 65ish
3. 12-6 Curve - 49ish
4. Circle-change - 55ish
love ur videos.learning lots of coaching tips for pitchers. Thank you
Right now i changed my armslot to sidearm because the only place i can practice my pitches is in my basement (long basement kinda tall but i diddnt wanna hit any vents or anything) and im still figuring out pitches that work for me and so far im really liking the forkball and knuckle curve (kinda acts like a slider sometimes because of the armslot) but i need a fastball so im gonna see about incorporating a sinker into my repertoire because of how low i throw. ive also got a pitch i really dont know how to describe. i put my pinky at the middle of the horseshoe, keep my ring and middle fingers together and put the next to the runway for grip and i hold on to the other side of the runway with my thumb, looks like a slurve.
Stoney Balogna if your worried about hitting the vents that means your throwing wrong cuz it ant supposed to do that and side arm can hurt your arm
