    We always used a wire brush around the plug. Then drill a small hole in the plug and use a dent puller. Never had a problem. Was quick too.

      That's a great method, as long as you have a dent puller :)

    Tore apart quite a few engine blocks and heads in my time, never had an issue with a core plug falling into a cavity. (Always used method two with a punch in the edge) But it looks like there is a first time for everything. Appreciate the tip!

    Pete, I'm looking for a video showing the details of how a Rochester B carburetor works. Your videos are awesome, but many times WAY over my head, but you do an excellent job of explaining things. I would love to see the details of how the idle circuit works, the pathways for the fuel. The Rochester B seems to be a very basic carb and would make a great educational video.

    Casting plugs that are not intended for freezing protection. Anti freeze is mixed into the engine coolant to provide that protection.
