5 Minecraft Structure Ideas!

- Today I am showcasing 5 hypothetical generated structure concepts that I think would make good additions to the game. I do not expect any of these to actually be considered, it is mainly fun messing with game design and concepts and generally being creative with minecraft! Please leave a comment on your favourite or leave your own ideas below and I may make a part 2!

Yea, I didn't think that was a good reward. Perhaps the reward should be a new type of weapon or enchantmented item that can only be obtained in sky temples.

Oh yeah? Well me and my friend both memorized it, and invented how to speak it. ⍑𝙹∴'ᓭ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ⎓𝙹∷ !¡𝙹∴ᒷ∷?
The first one should be the “Heart of Fire” and it gives you the item “Heart of the Nether” and you craft that with Ghast Larva Shells to make a Nether Conduit, which lets you swim in lava without burning and let’s you see in lava and when you craft the nether conduit you get the achievement “Swimming in Fire” but to power it you need Nether Bricks, Red Nether Bricks, and (maybe for extra range) Netherite Blocks

You can collect it to get Bucket of End Water
You can smelt it to get Bucket of Dry End Water
Click/tap the ground with it
It creates the Block Of End Water
Mine it with a pickaxe
Put it in a crafting table
Craft option:End Water Bricks

GodzillaKingOfTheMonsters 2019 I think it’s cool, but why End Water? Why not end Lava, which you pour water on to get End Obsidian which makes End Obsidian Bricks, and End Obsidian Bricks and End Obsidian can only be mined with a silk touch Ender pickaxe(maybe in 1.17 End Update) or destroyed by the Wither. Maybe. Something I always say is that every idea can be improved with insight from others.
With the Cabin in the woods, your rotten wood idea would be perfect for this!

For the flower biome ruins, there should be a 50% chance that you land in a good structure with valuable items so that people don’t always avoid it

Wow but imagine seeing a cruel being they kills and decays everything in its path from hell that can break almost everything, or a slenderman copy that makes demonic sounds that can grab red stone blocks and has a slight chance, but still a chance, to blow up your house that you worked, or finally getting a music disc and it’s music disc 11 or 13, and lastly, finding a horse and suddenly lightning strikes it and 4 skeletons come with enchanted bows and fast because of the horses..

Xavier Ramirez I would love it but floating things is the point of the end dimension, the closest thing we could get to a proper sky update would be a second big end update. And if they made it viable to live mainly on the end then I’m all for it
I love every one of these designs and that last sky temple one fits well with my Sky Update(I personally made) it would be like futuristic villagers in the sky that u can only get up with a portal not elytra-but u can fall down if the islands to ur death!(Very end game)
I have gone WAY more in-depth with this idea even building the mobs that would spawn here! The Sky Update should be an update in general!!!

For the cabin one, it should be changed so that the player gets mining fatigue when they enter, so that they can’t just break through the maze.
Or some other customized state like maybe "fear" or "cabin fever". But yea that's a really clever idea!
Yeah. The sky temple should also have that, allowing it to be below height limit, because whine pearls, it can be easily accessed anyway.
Maybe putting an elder guardian in it? :)
Cabin: Fear, makes you unable to mine and forces you into shift mode because of a creepy mob living there.
Sky Temple: something that prevents you from breaking and placing blocks.

Even in 2019, I still think that the, "Cabin in The Woods" could be used in the game to house the illusioner! We still don't have him in regular game. Makes sense that the illusioner wouldn't be in pillager raids with the other illagers and witch

It would be amazing if there was an extremely large and thick forest with many dangers, but when you got to the heart of the wood, there would be a small, hidden village with a little wall around it to protect itself.

The main reason why some of the older structures are so incredibly simple (what you call Mojang style) is that there was no way to import structures into the game, they basically had to write each block down like this, just for a 3x3 wall with window: 0,0,0 Wood; 0,1,0 Wood; 0,2,0 Wood; 0,0,1 Wood; 0,1,1 Glass, 0,2,1 Wood; 0,0,2 Wood; 0,1,2 Wood; 0,2,2 Wood.
You easily get totally confused, that's why when Notch tried to make a pig, he accidentally came out with the creeper.

Personally, (if this could count as a generated structure) I think there should DEFINITELY be oasis's generated in large enough desert biomes. It could be kind of like BOTW's oasis where there are villagers and tents that you could buy stuff from and the land has dirt.

Spawn near the beach as a small structure hut made out of wood which is hold up from the ground by fences.
Has a fisherman villager inside and a chest with fishing related items.
For the cabin in the woods, The maze could be randomly generated.

Ghasts are supposed to be ghosts.
Maybe a "Graveyard", where Wither Skeletons spawn?
These ideas are unique, but there are some problems with it:
The cabin in the woods: If it WAS generated, the basement exit would always be in the same spot. Players would just have to remove the dirt to get the end treasure
The sky temple: TNT launchers can also get you there as well as enter pearls to cheese the challange
In addition, if the terrain cannot exceed the height limit, other generated structures cannot, either.
The cabin could probably be procedurally generated, or at least have multiple versions that would be hard to differentiate.
The sky temple being reachable in unintended ways is not a problem unless it makes them very easy to reach which is not the case with TNT launchers.

the cabin problem: people will always cheese structures. but there will be people who play them for the fun of it
@@zaeemchogle8219 They made impressive mountains (1.7.2, 1.18), massive caves (1.18), vertical biomes (1.18), it possible to build above y=64 (gradual change over the course of the game; toyed with in Indev via level shapes), and it possible to build below y=0 (1.18), so it appears to be more refusing to do it than anything involving capacity to code. You can see this in how they handled the last mentioned change. They didn't let you build below bedrock, they moved bedrock lower.
Watching back on some of your hold content, and recently watched evo, can see now where that concept for the watchers obelisk came from, glad to see how far you've come, and cool to look back.

Mountain temple sounds clean tho, but it's gonna look dorky when world generation makes it stick out and float or something lmao. Not that that doesn't happen already with the villages we have now but you know what I mean haha
I love the sky temple idea! It could be made of End-inspired building materials (yes, even with purple) to give it a surreal, other-worldly spookiness, and to imply the need for Elytra. Or, a hidden chest with a single levitation potion, so once you've pillar'd up as far as you can, the levitation potion takes you the rest of the way. This could even be implemented below the build limit by restricting the player from building within a certain radius of the structure.

Looking back at this I think the "Alleys" mob that is soon coming to Minecraft, would look great with the cabin in the woods. Since it has that spooky-like feeling and Alleys are like little ghosts. So I feel like they would work well with the cabin. In a spooky, but sorta cute way.

There is also an Native American tribe that would build apartment-like house and there are many different house types so that would also be very cool in the Mesa.

For the sky temple you could also use riptide 3 on a trident when its raining.
And here I am thinking my Riptide 3 Trident was just a good way to die of fall damage...
You can build a pillar to build height and ended pearl up as well
Try getting a shulker in a minecart and get levitation
nope you cant, if you go high enough, which is where the sky temple would be, above building level then the rain will turn into snow and you cant use riptide in snow. nice try but it doesnt work lol
No because if you go high enough it snows anywhere in the game and riptide 3 does not work in the snow meaning that the only way you could get up there is with an elytra and fireworks
Love the cabin in the woods concept, one thing that could make it better is to have a wizard type mob similar to an evoker casting a spell on you so that you cannot mine blocks (like elder guardians im ocean monuments) this should make going through the cabin much less cheatable and more difficult

The druid altar should have a good version so, people who know how to play Minecraft will go in. Also, I like the idea of a mob that is attracted to pressure plates when a player is near, that has a lot of potential in Redstone if you can bring one back to your base.
Can you make these into Structure Files? We could have them generate naturally in our worlds if you did...
I think Grian cant code lol. But if he did it, he would need to code the normal stuff and code the normal stuff,and that could be really hard. But if he can code and would ike like to, i agree with you!
Don't even need to code just use structure blocks adn know how to navigate the Minecraft file directory.

Actually, with the files you could make a simple generated structures mod with Mcreator.
The ghast hive one is really cool maybe in the hives their could be pools of ghast tears or something and you could scoop it with a bucket and convert it to ghast tears and that's just an idea Good video!

They could make ghast tear blocks, and when you go into it, it gives you regeneration 3 for 10 seconds, constantly being reset as long as you are in the pool. However, it also effects you with nausea 3 for 15 seconds, slowness 2 for 5 seconds, and weakness 3 for 15 seconds.
