Awesome cars. Got myself a VF SV6 manual and absolutely love it. Perfect blue, factory track stripes, have fitted the black edition front grille surrounds and "side vents" myself. Running 20 inch 8.5x10 staggered with Michelin PS4S. Have converted plenty of my mates to RWD and sedans now haha
The VE engine is pretty much bullet proof once you do the timing chains.... one of the most reliable engines apart from that issue and I've never understood why so much hate towards it
I bought my VF series 2 SV6 brand new in 2016. The car has only cost me, petrol, registration, insurances, scheduled services, a new battery in 2020 & a set of tyres this year. Never had a fault, not even a bulb has blown. It's been the most reliable new car I've ever owned. Usually I replace my new cars every 5 years, however I'm keeping this one, as there is nothing new on the market I like more. I'll eventually want to buy a new car within the next 2 years, but that will only be to preserve my SV6 & keep it in good condition, for occasional use only.
Same here mate only had to replace battery due to my lack of driving over a 6 month period earlier this year.. otherwise perfect series 2 manual with 72k on the clock. Also the difference between manual an auto is crazy so it’s quite funny to see someone in the autos thinking it’s quick and goes hard 😂 imagine how much their mind would blow if they knew how to stick
I’m on my greens and I’m just thinking of getting one myself, how was the fuel expenses and maintenance cos I’m not sure how much the normal running costs will be
Love my VE LFX motor, underrated for sure, never an issue, competes very well with Barras, have a good time racing mates falcons and winning about half the time, great engines all round and big improvement from the LY7 and LLT ❤
i have a 2017 model with the vortech blower 7psi 300rwkw 600nm bone stock engine and i have not had 1 single issue so far the lfx is a very underrated engine and when theyre done right they are capable of massive power, only thing im changing is the fuel system pistons and rods and ill be safe to chase 400rwkw

Though it isn't an SV6, it's a 2015 Calais V Sportwagon i've recently got. And it certainly is quite the nice one, certainly being a nice choice for P-Platers too. The LFX having the power it does, they being barely legal pretty much here in victoria for us, along with the bit more class the Calais V's got. Along with them being something you wouldn't expect them to have, so it'd be under the radar a bit more. Either way, if you can afford one on your P's, you'll be in for a good time for sure.
Geez. I would love a white VF SV6 Ute Manual with a canopy. That is my dream car. I'd keep it dead stock. Its better to look at and more valuable that way.
I have a VE Z series sedan (SV6) which has the LFX (same as VF) and there is literally no difference from my Z series to my mates VF SV6 sedan performance and handling wise. Obviously VF looks better but I love my VE.
I did not know they even had a V6 version. I live in the US and I got a rebadged Chevy SS that's been put back to Holden badges all blacked out with a Magnuson supercharger V8 with 720 horsepower at the rear wheels.
Nice video man, bit of constructive criticism but a bit more enthusiasm would make this pretty solid as it can feel pretty scripted at times. But I'm by no means an expert! Production quality is top notch and you've defs come a long way since starting! Keep it up!
I have a SV6 VE its interior is black leather it doesn’t look bad and it's great for fat carnt's like me. The alloytec is good for a stock standard sedan of that size and weight.
I like to race these with my 10psi au falcon.🥳the fast one the vf manual sv6, i had a chance to buy turbo sigma but was under 25 all young fellas love my turbo falcon. 😎prefer this over G6, Ve cant be that good when in aussies films: wolf creek and mystery road they get shot up and trashed.

If it's been looked after why not? I have a 2013 SV6 Sportswagon (I'll never sell it far good and reliable to ever part with) with 198,000 Km still silky smooth, quiet, never an issue. A solid service history and 10K oil changes with quality Synthetic oil you should reach 400K no problem.
not really I had a zf falcon and driven the now ex-inlaws SV6 wagon the 6spd in the SV6 had better gearing and crisper shifts the ZF also required alot more maintenance
@@HakoPseudo Agree I don't think Banger566 has spent any time in a VF interior compared to the earlier generations let alone driven one for nearly 200,000 KM flawlessly like I have. The VF has one of the best quality and durable interiors of any car I've had the pleasure of owning. Already a worthy modern classic that is ageing extremely well. If I ever get another car it will be one I don't car about so much to preserve my VF.

I have an 09 SV6 Wagon .It has done 402.000k's. Done the chains twice. Runs sweet. No mods.
I’ve got a 2013 VE SV6 Z Series wagon which also has the LFX motor. Such a good car in every way.

Got a calais v v6 instead comes with more options and normally cheaper. V option was a 7.5k option when new.
