HUGE Brown Trout Hooked in Clear Water!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 тра 2021
- Welcome back anglers! Check out the final episode of my trip, HUGE Brown Trout Hooked in Clear Water!
This is footage of the last two days of my trip while searching for some gorgeous brown trout that live in these rivers. It’s been an unbelievable few days in a place like no other I’ll never forget!!
Most brown trout love to sit In the slower water on the edges of the faster current. So if you’re fishing during the day, be sure to drop a line by those deep holes for best results.

For those of us who have long since passed the age when such things are possible we collectively give you a huge THANK YOU. Your adventures take me back 40 years when I did such things myself. But no more. Enjoy it while it lasts. Time is mysterious in how it vanishes so quickly.
You’re an honor to your generation and you’ve done yourself proud. I’ve watched all of your videos and I’ve observed how you’ve continued to perfect your fishing, filming, and editing. It’s really top shelf stuff. Fantastic work! You’ve reached a level of perfection only attained by very few others in the fly fishing genre. Well done!!!
As an afterthought, you should have 100k+ subscribers based on the superb quality of your work. Be patient and keep learning and improving and one day soon you’ll stand at the summit alone.
Mate, what can I say to such kind words...? Other than thank you and that I’m super happy that people like yourself are enjoying the content I put out.

Hi Alex, what can I say that hasn’t been said by everyone else? Fantastic fishing and photography as well as the editing. Congratulations and thanks. You need to have another good think about feet care, blisters are not a natural injury but more of a lack of due care and attention. Take note from an old soldier, look after your feet and you will get to the next bend in the river of life. Cheers mate. Haere rā .
Yeah I think they just overheated in the neoprene socks on the long walks out of the water and that set them off..
Happy you enjoyed the vids mate🤙
@@TrippinOnTrout Hi Alex, just remembered that we use to carry a “Housewife” in our kit that had needles, safety pins, cotton, silk thread etc. When we got a blister we threaded a needle with some cotton, pierced the blister with the cotton (not actually into the blister but a few mm just before and after the blister) forming a tunnel through which the fluid in the blister can escape. The double thread of cotton acts like a wick allowing the moisture to escape and lets the top skin dry and the new skin evolve and whole lot does not get infected. This is nothing new as the Roman Legionaries must have used it. I picked up the idea in Africa from a Légion étrangère soldier and has stood me in good stead all my life. So, I can guarantee that it works. Cheers mate, and keep those out of the way fishing trips going, you are showing us a part of NZ most of us never see. Keep safe. Harera
@@pierevojzola9737 I’ve never heard of this but it sounds very cool!!

Absolutely fantastic record of an amazing trip! You'll be able to look back on that one and just go wow!!! Thanks for sharing your adventures and apart from the epic fish moments, also really appreciate the extra effort you put in to get great additional footage to bring it all together when you must be dead on your feet! You've really created a really great video. Look after the feet and I look forward to the next!

Wikid bro, every day on the water is it’s own little adventure aye.
That is the pinnacle of our obsession. Sick fish/ footage/editing /music and river. Your constantly pushing the boundaries. You will have 100 thousand by the end of the year.
Cheers bro, I hope you’re right...!!!
Holy moly!! What a stunning few days and awesome fish. The more I see of your country the more I fall in love with it. Brilliant again Alex - so envious!
It’s paradise here for sure!

Wonderfull trip and amazing landscape Alex. Love watching your videos. Couldn’t be better with those giants brownies!! Congrats and thanks for sharing the beautiful NZ. Cheers from Patagonia.
Thanks heaps!! Would love to come to Patagonia and fish for those big sea run browns you guys get!
Epic footage. The fights were awesome and the fish were amazing. We'll done. I'm super jealous of that whole trip, blisters and all.
Thanks man, appreciate it🤙
great video , camera work, that pack horse absolutely magnificent,
Salmo trutta in latin, the most beautiful of salmons...those big ones definitely grew to the sizes in sea and entered the river to spawn. It is amazing how this fish can change it"s color depending on the color of bottom and sunlight and water ...
One of your best!
Awesome bro, cheers!
Unreal !
Yay, new-episode-day! 😁
Enjoy!!
What an amazing fish - that's incredible and another "fish of a lifetime" for you! Classic that you're wearing a bright orange shirt too - that blows out all the theories on camo and trout Stalking 🤣
Haha, yeah I went through a phase of seeing if I could wear bright shit and still catch fish🤣
Still one of my favourite trips !
@@TrippinOnTrout not sure that the bright jacket helped but you clearly caught an amazing fish! Maybe see you in the area if you're down this summer. I've been packrafting and multi daying around there quite a bit. Epic country & some lovely fish to be found
Another STUNNING video! The shot of that huge brown cruzing in crystal clear water makes him look like he's floating on air. Amazing. Love it!
So cool to watch them do their thing aye🧡
Good to see you get rewarded for four days of hard grind. That last fish was outstanding
Epic - nough said
"Good God what a fish!" - Fantastic video!!
Thanks man
Well Heli, highway and huts a side, those 3 fish where more than great and u do some sacrifices for the vid , very very good stuff Mr walksalot:)
Haha. thanks man and I like that name....!!
I take my hat off to you catching fish of that size on a size 18 just amazing
Sometimes it works out!
I love it 😍👍👍👍
Thank you! 😊
love this channel, can't wait for more content it sims like only getting better
Glad you enjoy it, thanks heaps!
Ohh Alex, what a great trip. I was lucky enough to do South Island NZ once, and I still remember how tough the boulder hopping and the sand flies made it. But the scenery and the water and the missed fish(!) made it all worth while. Great videos, thank you. (Hope the feet have recovered).
That’s great to hear mate. Happy you liked it!
Feet were good after a couple of days thanks🤙
Can attest to those blister plasters, they stay on for days and protect the damaged skin so well while still allowing the skin to breathe so you will actually have the damaged skin heal under it.
Yea that second skin stuff does the damage
I remember when they first came out around 30 years ago! They've saved me on many occasions while skiing and mountaineering. Can't fault them.
Epic. National Geographic ain’t got nothing on you. Nice work.
Awesome bro, appreciate that heaps!
Oh, my god!👏👍🎣
