Absolutely gorgeous Rainbows. That scene is possible in a productive stream that has no no road running right next to it. Those fish are healthy and well fed.
Still so enjoy and love watching you travel through the crazy woods, catch some gorgeously, stunning fish and share your amazing videos with us. Alex. You’re a true legend you are.. Cheers🥃🥃 Terri
100% re your comments about chilling the 'f' out and taking stock. Very easy to get consumed with fish in the net success (perhaps a throwback to a hunter gatherer mindset) except we know it's not about that. Been guilty of that loads of times. It's good to hear you talk about it. None of us are immune. Keep bringing it and I'll keep watching it!
incredible fishing as always. and after al the hours of walking true the bush just to find a decent spot ( and trout ) to fish on. then spent some more houres to work on these videos. you got my diepest repect Alex. thanks man, for another great video.
Simply amazing Alex, well done! You live in rarefied air “when days like these come along…”…hilarious! Days like those happen for very few mate, you live and work in a blessed country, and you’re at the top of your game. The cast to the last fish was exquisite (as was the camera work)., Great vid, one of your best.
Great video again Alex, makes me want to move back to NZ everytime I watch these hopefully in the near future I will. Good old NZ Gause bush you must have a few battle scars from that horrible stuff 😅😉👍. Regards.
Awesome Alex, very cool video, all the fish were stunning, thanks for all the effort to bring us superb quality fishing. You will be so happy you got this one in before the next big wet. Take care thanks again for all your work, appreciate it all. Cheers Mike
Yet another gem of a film Alex. Thank you! I can only guess at how much time and effort must go into getting those shots, let alone the editing. Fabulous stuff. And it's good to hear that it's not just old Blighty that's been having its rivers blown out. We actually saw the sun in Wiltshire today!!
You found a backcountry racetrack full of horses! What a stunning video. Love the surface eats, so cool to see them chomp off the top. Love your work. Bloody weather has made this sort of trip difficult. Admire your dedication.
Great video Alex. I just love your over night trips the rivers and fish are amazing. It’s great you got this trip in before the next set of storms hit lol. Do you do guided over night trips like this??
You busted your butt to get to that river. Deserved that beauty on the first cast! Heck, every one of those fish was memorable. Thanks for another crusher video.
Hi, Nice video and superb fishs as usual :D Dry fly action is always so cool to watch, it makes us wait, here in France we're kind of in the middle of winter ;)
Your B roll is always on point.. editing is spot on.. the eats and fishing content is mind blowing.... blah blah blah... But it just occurred to me... why has there never been a gear review of your most used bit of kit.... STICKY !... 🤣🤣🤣😎... love your work as always dude 🤙👍
I don't know mate. Your memory might be failing. I distinctly remember you having a fish take you all the way up some rapids and then back down again. This might have been bit more severe in elevation gain, but it was the same fishy tactic for sure! Awesome video Alex, glad the bush didn't eat you. TWSS
You need to come to the South Island mate. No issues with weather here this summer. If anything we could use some rain. Great footage that last cast was perfect
Superb content as always Alex...anyone interested in fly fishing should defo subscribe as your channel is by far the best fly fishing channel on UA-cam
Excellent video, Alex. Many times when you rest easy leaning against the bank setting up, I am expecting to see a big bear to poke its head out while you are there. I guess it's something we worry about up our way in Canada. Do you ever worry out there, even with GPS and outdoor skills? OK! The other immediate discussion is how do you tap the leader off, then shoot? Say at 9:01+ ?
Hay Alex just trying bro get over my jet lag Trust it to be the worst weather in so many years In the north Ace vid. Still managed some nice fish Fantastic fishing
The cicada eat by the trout under the bush was one of the best I've seen on UA-cam. Great camera work and cast for that matter.
Me😊tooivnjytvmfi. Tjjm🎉
I love that river system, the wilderness, the fish numbers , the condition of the fish. Very special.
Bro all of those fish were stunning. When you hook one just as you're about to re cast, you know it's going to be your day. Outstanding.
Stunning place and just listen to those cicadas. 🎧 great vid again Alex. 👍
Consistently my favourite fishing channel on UA-cam - top stuff 👌
Off the beaten path. Rough looking country, but the fish make it worthwhile. Great video, as usual.
Great film work Alex, the cicada eats really were textbook 💪 Excited about the InnerWild knife collab 🎉
Absolutely gorgeous Rainbows.

Man brother you worked hard for those fish! The hike in liked brutal! Love your videos!
I appreciate that bro!

Full marks again Alex - great camera work, stunning location and fabulous fish.
Great footage and fishing
always great content Alex, pleased you got a weather window to be able to have some remote fishing time
Nice easy hike in, lol. In fact, what's one thing I like about your videos, ie, how hard it can be to get to the best places.
They make the best trips aye!
Stunning video, Alex. Brilliant work!
Top notch as always bro🤘

Do you do guided over night trips like this??
Yes mate I do 👍
Great video Alex, the way you captured the last catch superb
Good shit, finally you did get a little bit of summer
For about three days yeah. It was great
Ditto everyone else, sick Cicada eat. Great stuff.
Great fish!
Very enjoyable video Alex. Well done on a cool trip.
Cool video mate 🤙 Stay safe down there
Watching the trout taking your cicada fly is about 100 x better than just watching a nymph indicator getting pulled under!❤
So crazy that fish went upstream
Fantastic vid Sir. As usual. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
You busted your butt to get to that river.
Feels like we are in the middle of winter here too mate!🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️
Good stuff Alex..as always
Man you do get to some cool spots bro, keep it up!
Mate, great to catch up. Really don't know how you're doing this given how tough the weather's been. Epic stuff.
Yeah it’s been a tough season so far that for sure.
Cheers man
The perfect day!
Wicked video. Have been using the poly-leader and tippet ring set up and been loving it. Thanks for your great content!
I don't know mate. Your memory might be failing. I distinctly remember you having a fish take you all the way up some rapids and then back down again. This might have been bit more severe in elevation gain, but it was the same fishy tactic for sure! Awesome video Alex, glad the bush didn't eat you. TWSS
Impressive, very impressive fishing. Thanks for sharing this adventure into some thick bush. Trails or no trails into the river??
You need to come to the South Island mate. No issues with weather here this summer. If anything we could use some rain. Great footage that last cast was perfect
NICE !!!
Excellent fishing bro and some good tank bows. Well deserved with that hell walk in. Peace
Superb content as always Alex...anyone interested in fly fishing should defo subscribe as your channel is by far the best fly fishing channel on UA-cam
Much appreciated dude. 💪
Beautiful place - Regards
A life saver while being rained in here in AKL.
Great video as always. I have a question. Why do you tap the top of the rod just above the butt?
Hay Alex just trying bro get over my jet lag
Trust it to be the worst weather in so many years
In the north
Ace vid.
Still managed some nice fish
Fantastic fishing
Was just eating some of that choc last night bro!
Glad you got back safe- good times man….keep in touch. 💪
Belle trote e anche belli i video mi piacciono molto. Ciao
Pretty amazing what cold clean water and a hike can offer, eh! Thanks for taking us along! Do you use only a GoPro for your tripod shots?
No I use my main camera a heap too
You run a paper map and compass? Or just know the area that well? Cool looking country and camping trip man, jealous for sure - cheers man
Hi Alex
I presume you use two go pro,s?
Awesome filming/fishing .👍👍👍
And a main camera and a drone
Awesome bro that cicada eat angle was unreal! Wondering what sort of trousers you’re wearing for wet wading in summer?
Hope you're safe Alex! Some serious shit going down on theNorth Island! 🤞✌
'What a crap summer this has been...' you jinxed us Alex, it got worse
I’ll be over there sometime this year, so I’ll give you a shout and try and hook up for a feed and few ales
That sounds grand!!
they where not fish they where HOgs what a great day
Tight lines! Always enjoy your fishy content. What are your thoughts on that Orvis H4 Prototype?
We’re you using a special lens or we’re all of those fish actually huge?
They hold the fish close to the camera on an angle while they are far back to make them look bigger and better
All good fish dude. NZ is a special place…less fish but bigger on average than most places
you have obviously swapped out the blue net?
Just doing some testing on that black one..
Alex: perhaps a silly question, but were you carrying a backup rod?
Always
Worth the wait mate. Fishing porn 👏
