I find discarded containers of “blue DEF” all the time discarded next to the gas pumps. They usually have a little liquid left in them. I’ll start filling em up with water and spray a little. Thanks
Should this be followed up with a something like a 0-0-26 foliar phosphate fertilizer to keep things more balanced? I’ve been spraying DEF and iron together every week with great results. 15ounces def per gallon with 8 ounces of chelated iron. I have a common Bermuda lawn.
My hose end sprayer only goes up to 8oz. I would use that and lay it on heavy. Def has a npk of 15-0-0. So 10 ounces per 1 gallon per 1000 sq ft. Is .1lbs of nitrogen. Goodluck
I think you are wrong about the amount of N per year per 1,000k/sq feet. Most sources say: 1 and 4 lbs of Nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft of lawn space each year/growing season.
I didn't talk about a seasonal maximum at all, talked about an application over 1000 sq feet. A single application of a liquid urea should not exceed .2 pounds of N per 1000 sq feet. The maximum amount of N that I apply to my lawn, or my clients, per season, does not exceed 4lbs.

Excellent little vid. Thank you
Thank you.
Im just curious, if it works for lawns is it safe to put on your garden?
You can but you need to be super careful as it can burn plants. Make sure to water in any application.
How often do you use def on lawn? Whether it is 9 or 15 oz per 1,000 sq ft.
at 9 oz I will apply every 2 weeks.

If your soil requires it. I would recommend doing a soil test to see where you are at.
Thanks Jeff.
I want to use a Ortho Sprayer with a dial, how many ounces per gal should i set it on?

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to use household ammonia diluted with water?

Is this foliar feed?
It can be if it is left on the blades of grass for around 4 hours before irrigating but I water it in after applying.
1 US or 1 imperial gallon of water?
3.78 litres, so one US gallon.
Moo on great video
Thanks dude! 👍
